Gents,I'm about to overhaul my PC to bring it into Flightsim fluid FPS country.As fellow Flightsim 'power users' has anyone had experience with the X800GT 256MB PCI-e card?The CPU I have in mind is the Athlon 64 3200, anyone want to comment on the performance of that CPU in FS?Appreciate any feedback. Hi all,Just a quick question.I've been using the PMDG744 since day one of release and have never suffered any problems at all, other than the very ocasional case of HDG SEL going the wrong way (seems to get more rare).However, yesterday I received my new AMD 64 FX55 and so had to re-install my entire FS set-up to the new 'puter.On loading up the 744 I found I had the old chestnut where the FL CH is permanently on as soon as the plane is loaded.I reloaded the plane twice more (Air Canada PW model) and the same happened... then I rebooted and loaded the BA plane and the problem was gone.My apologies - I know there have been many previous posts on this but I'm hoping someone…

Some FMC's have a Data Button to search the navigation database for info about airports or navaids.As the FMC in our 747-400 doesn't have that button is there another way to access that information in the FMC?Cliff

Hi all,After using FS2crew with the 737, I was thinking that it would be good to have a way to have an F/O along for the ride in the 744. I found this program some time ago. I just dug it out of my HDD and re-installed it and with very little stuffing around- Viola! Voice commands with the 744 (and anything else you care to set up a profile for). For those of you interested, I have uploaded three new Southwest repaints. One is the new gold colored N711HK, "The Herbert D. Kelleher" for the 737-700. The other two are for the 737-600. I was wondering if I could get any tips on taxiing this beast. :)It's not an easy task and I remember seeing something about taxiing the 767, something about what to look for and lign up with looking through the window...perhaps something like this is available for the 747 also?

Hi there everyone - after doing a few long haul flights, I have a couple of questions for anyone out there!- Why does the fuel temp always stay at 6 degrees and never any lower (I imagine it's like this for real?)- Do I need to enter route winds for every waypoint for the FMC to take into account calculations, or will it kind of assume the same wind value that I enter for one waypoint as the value for the ones following, unless I enter a different value?- Anyone know any good cruise bias numbers (or a technique) for FSBuild to lower the fuel burn for slightly slower than Mach .86 flight? (ie Mach .84-84, CI80-100)?- Apart from what's in the manual, does anyone know any mi…

HiyaA very happy and new user of PMDG 744.A few issues. Primarily would like to establish why I cant see any SIDS or STARS for ANY airport I choose. I have installed the latest SID/STAR update from PMDG website, deleted all files in C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9PMDGSIDSTARS and subsequenlty unzipped the new files into the same folder.Yep there all there, icluding the airoports I fly from, namely EGLL and FIMP. Yet when I enter either of these, or any for that matter, into the DEP/ARR page of the FMC and click on either the SID for departure or STAR for arrival, I get nothing.Help Pleeeeeaaaaaseee.Thanks allAv8or

Hi - just a quick one...Just installed PMDG 747 and noticed its included FSUIPC along with the download. Is this a requirement for the aircraft to work? Are there any recommended optimal settings within FSUIPC of the aircraft?Many Thanks!

Hello,I apologize in advance if this has been brought up before... first of all I want to say to the PMDG team that your addons for FS are just amazing. I have been spoiled by your products and can never use FS again without your 737 and 747. I was just curious about the system failure thing. Currently it is based on a timed failure or a random failure over a given time period. Is there any way to opt that any system can fail based on statistical probability? When a pilot takes off in a real airplane he has no idea whether or not his right engine might fail, or there might be a pressurization problem. either way the chances are very slim anything might ever go wrong. Wonder whether I could expect possible upgradeability if I bought the boxed version of the 744 rather than having the downloaded version ?Another thing I wonder is whether the announced 'manuals' with the boxed version really are printed ones and not just PDFs. These days you can't know, however, I would expect printed ones for the extra cost.Cheers,Siggy

Is there a fix for the great 1900c which tends to oversteer when on the ground? My yoke and peddals are calibrated correctly, this only happens with the 1900cAny help would be appreciated, thanks

Yesterday Virgin Blue took delivery of it's 50th Aircraft. Hi everyone,Has anyone noticed that when you land, if you keep the nosewheel in the air, as the speed decreases the wheels compress, so rather than them compressing when they hit the ground, they compress with speed which is very odd.

Good day folksI'm facing a big problem when flying and that leads me to not use the aircraft since the time I buy it.The question is:Everything works fine till I takeoff, after that the behaviour of the aircraft changes. viz:almost every 30 seconds freezes not only the aicraft but also all the programs like FSMETEO, FLIGHT KEEPER etc another 30 seconds all is goods and so on.On a 3 hours flight it will take me about 4 hours and for landing its really a mess.That happens only with this aircraf which sounds very strange.I deeply appreciate any help, otherwise I cant use the aircraft.Thank youJoao Borges

Is it just me or does anyone else have trouble loading a panel after it has been saved. I get a somewhat correct loading of the panels. The event times are not there after loading, neither are the co-route. I also get some failures after loading, well some times. Like one engine has shut down or sometimes two. It seems random as to what to expect after having loaded a panel. I was just wondering what everone elses experience was.
