Anyone who tells me Flight Simulator is just a stupid game deserves a slap in the face. Cruising along on my flight from Phoenix to Amsterdam I suddenly spot Aurora Borealis dancing across my view. Hello fellow simmers, I`ve got a question about the yoke in de vc-mode. I want to use the FMC on the Capt side in VC-mode, but the yoke is in de way to be able to use all the keys on the left hand side.Is there a way to remove the yoke in VC-mode?Thanks PeterPS It`s a wonderful bird

Leaning forward in the 744 is it possible to see any of the nose? Much like this shot of what I'm used to; If so it would be great to add a few polgons (maybe take them away from the cabin ;-)) as I often do a "Virtual Lean forward" overflying an airport etc... Although leaning forward in a level-D simulator I've never seen a nose... Any thoughts?Cheers,Paul

Hi,During a Jammed Stab landing, we have to fly the 744 with the elevator purely. It's mandated in the QRH that we have to adopt a higher approach speed of Vref30+20 for a Flap 25 landing. This also applies for the "Flaps Drive" QRH where flaps assymetry occurs.What is the aerodynamic reasoning for the highr approach speed? Why not just apply the usual flaps 30 approach with it's respective Vref30.Pse advise.

I don't think i've ever been so frustrated over such a stupid thing before!! :) For some reason, after reading EVERY piece of documentation I can find on this plane, I cannot figure out how to set the trim!! I don't have a yolk as I use a joystick. I've looked over every panel with no luck! Please someone help me before I go crazy!! .Thanks!

Hi Guys,I'm drawing up some cockpit procedural flows for the 747 for my VA, and would like to hear what various approaches people take to this task, both in the real world and in the sim.For example I'm on the flight deck exactly 30 minutes prior to pushback to get things ready to go. I follow a countdown-based schedule where the various pre-start actions and rituals have to be completed by a certain point on the clock. Plus I have the option in my procedures at -10 minutes and -5 minutes to enact a delay in pushback if things aren't running on schedule.So how do you do it? As much detail as possible please! I don't know if this exists in R/L but I am assuming there is a station by each of the main cargo doors, (the front and the side) where the loadmaster opens and closes the door. Will the VC of the 744F feature these? If is exits in R/L it would be cool to be able to do that for those of us who have active camera or walk and follow.

Hello!I am on my way from VHHH to EKCH now, but when I try to increace the speed using the FMC i get the message "Invalid entry" ! I go yo VNAV and enter it in ECON SPD! Hi all,I was on the ILS runway 6R approach into Kansai Intl. when a pesky AI plane was on the runway, I went ahead and disconnected the autopilot and added GA thrust at around 250 ft. Anyway when I was trying to use the autopilot again, the APP switch wouldn't come undone, so I was unable to use the autopilot at all. Does anyone know what the procedures are for using the autopilot again after a missed approach?Jeff

The LEGS display of the active route shows the correct bearing to the next waypoint but after using heading select for vectoring and then engaging LNAV the aircraft turns away from the LEGS bearing displayed and wants to return to the original track. Doesn't the current bearing to the next point take effect or do I need to force a direct-to even if the first bearing and point at the page top is correct.What am I missing in getting a direct-to for the top listed waypoint to get a path updated from PPOS to the next point. I know how to skip and add waypoints and close discontinuities. Thanks for any help.PMDG 737NG 600/700/800/900 with current sps.

Hello Everyone.I'm sure you'll remember me (Robin Bilgil) from B-W Designs. I've done a fair few paints on the PMDG 747-400 (Including SIA, KLM NC/OC, Air France, Qantas, Qantas Wunala etc.)After a few months of silence I've got back into painting once again. I saw many people asking the amount of progress on my infamous Wunala paint for the PMDG 747-400;I will say, embarrassedly, that almost no progress has been made since.
