Captains-A few hours ago we released the much anticipated service update, only to find that as a result of a bug with InstallShield, some users were going to be forced to uninstall the Queen of the Skies and reinstall in order for the updater to work....We are working with Installshield on a solution to provent that- so we have pulled the installer temporarily while we work...It will be back shortly...

Hello,I was hoping someone could help with a navdata questions and LEMH.The lastest navdata for PMDG has the new runway layout for LEMH whereby runways 01/19 have been deleted and 2 runways have been added RW01L, RW01R, RW19L and RW19R. PMDG's FMC will not accept LEMH as a destination. I followed the directions of updating the navdata but the FMC displays the error LEMH err: 01 rwy unknown.Any help would be appreciated.Thanks,

Hi All,I have a few questions regarding the AC. I have noticed while in flight, that the A/C does not keep the exact heading requested IE (HDG 270 requested, but AC flies at HDG 257) And while on an ILS approach this evening to KIAH 15R, I almost flew short of the runway because the approach mode wouldn't correct to put the plane on the correct glide slope with the runway....not sure what could have happened (maybe wind and the ATC assigning an incorrect runway approach??) I haven't attempted to use the FMC that's included with the plane (yes, I realize I'm missing a lot) but it's far too confusing for me. Hi I have a problem with my PMDG 737 and ATR 72-500 both are set up with FScrew that crash to the desk top, this started after I installed FC Cargo. Do I have to do a complete re-install or is there another way.I have since removed FS Cargo.Gerry

Hello Bryan,I was thinking of purchasing the Fifty North Simulations 737 classic series and the Friendly Panels Boeing package. Of course, it won't be complete without FS2Crew, so the choice would then fall on FS2Crew default 737 version. Now, assuming that the Friendly Panels Boeing package conforms to the MS SDK's, would there be any problems with the airplane model itself (fifty north)?Best regards,

Hello,First of all, I'd like to say that PMDG is totally on a different level compared to other flight sim companies and no one comes close to the realism and their effort and hard work shows through a 100 fold in their products.Now for my question, In the PMDG manual it states that currently stored Company routes may not be listed within the FMC, it also states that this feature is planned later on.Now I'm very sorry if this question has been addressed in previous posts, I read through and tried a search on this topic and I also didnt see it in the upcoming patch either.Now does PMDG still plan on implementing this feature?Best Regards,Mike

Hi all, I was one of those few having some stuttering issues with the Queen. I was reading some of the fixes in the upcoming service update and saw this: "Numerous tweaks to processor intensive mathematical and drawingroutines in order to improve efficiency and enhance FPS."I was wondering if this means it should run a little better for me after the update?Thanks,Jeff

What am I doing wrong?Sometimes when I manualy input VOR name into 1L or 1R of the Nav Radio menu the proper VOR frequency is displayed; however, no name for this VOR is diplayed. For example, when I enter LAX into 1L a proper frequency of 113.60 shows up but name field is empty. It should display LAX. It is a headache since I cannot fly radials. I enter a radial in 2L but FMC will not display current plane's radial from LAX VOR and in a map screen no radial line is displayed.Again, this problem is only related to certain VOR's and I believe I noticed this error after installing Current Navigation Database and Current SID/STAR Database (0512).Richard Rudol

Not sure how much this is discussed over here on the PMDG end, but I VERY HIGHLY recommend FS2Crew 737 Special Edition for PMDG. They made the product specially for the PMDG 737 and have updates on their web site to make it work with ALL of the NG series :-)I just got it last week, and will dink with it more tomorrow after class, but all I can say is so far I have been VERY VERY entertained by it. When they said it changes how you run your aircraft procedure-wise - they weren't kidding. Having to retrain myself to keep doing mY job and not the first officer's!Can't wait to get my claws on the ATR version . . .

Hi, I have uninstalled my PMDG 747-400. When I try to run FS9 I get a notice which says: Aircraft initialization failure PMDG-747-400 GEcf6 Engines. Is there someone out there who coul;d advise me how to overcome this problem? I have tried clearing out every file I can find appertaining to the aircraft in question. Your help appreciated.

I had the CDU open with the expanded MAIN underneath. When I hit SHIFT 2 to go back to the full main panel, it was in a frozen state. I popped off the CDU and popped up the expanded main and all instruments were OK there. Closed it and the main full panel was still in a frozen state with the backup none-glass ATI tumbled, frozen airspeed, altitude, VSI, VOR pointers, etc. on the PFD. Eventually in clicking around it recovered. The sim was not paused during this period.737NG-800 Aerosoft package with CD service pack.

hello folks out there im having a problem with the sound effects of the 737 , every now and then i will get a scracthy statiky sound that i cant put my finger on , all other planes work fine.i will load pmdg 737 and everything will be all right, and all of a sudden i get this real loud static sound , and i cannot correct this unless i quit the software, and perhaps restart the computer.im running xp pro, amd 3200, 750 gig of ram,sound blaster live 5.1, blah , blah ,blah, you know all the regular stuff.i have also unloaded , and reloaded pmdg,s 737 and the same thing, it will not happen all the time, maybe three out of five times.has anyone had this problem before, is ther…

Hi all in the forum.a search for this topic revealed nil so i am asking here please.Yesterday evening I was completing an online flight which ended at EGSS. a rather uneventfull flight until i was descending, making for about 3000ft to intercept the localiser. I had slowed down to bout 180knts and had second or third level of flaps on.(have done this loads of times without incident) The speed tape suddenly started to become erratic, going from 180 knts to min30 knts and back again, the engine sounds did not alter and neither did the plane show any signs of distress, so guessing only the tape was wrong and not any plane system. Dear All,I'm having a thick day, can someone please explain to me how to get the NAV radios to autotune during an FMC controlled flight? I've looked in the books and stuff and can't find it. But I could just have crap in my eyes again.....Another small thing, I was flying EGKK to EHAM last night and the SID and cruise portions went as normal, I was flying VFR as it was an FMC programmed flight, the STAR section proceded OK but I was waiting for EHAM atis come into range to get the active runway to programme the arrival, the STAR had overun and a manual setup and landing was needed. Hi fellow PMDG online captains,Any of you tried out the new IVAO pilot client yet?Personally I've been flying exclusively on VATSIM when flying online but I tried installing this new pilot client for the IVAO network and fired it up and was amazed how easy it was to get online and most of all how smooth the online traffic around me was!As soon as I can find the time for it, I will do some real online flights and see how well it all works but what I've seen so far looks very good!Cheers,

Dear PMDG,I just saw the pictures of the 744F virtual cabin. They certainly look great ;)I especially loved the adjustable cabin lights. Is it possible to implement this so that it will also apply (once the 744F purchased) to the initial PMDG 744QoTS?Thanks!
