Hi,First of all, congratulations on your products, they are of superb quality!!!Secondly...because your products are of superb quality, I just wanted to ask you if you have any plans on developing an Airbus series of aircrafts... an A340 for instance (my favorite!). A320 will do as well :)Anyway, I just think that Boeing has been "over-simulated" in the FS world and judging from the quality and level of simulation of your current products, if you developed an Airbus series of aircrafts, both you as a company (market-wise) and we as simmers (pleasure-wise) would have an absolute winner. Currently, there is just no proper simulation of a new generation Airbus (A319/320/321,…

Hi,I have posted a few times on sudden unexplained CTDs with the aircraft but have never really received any word from the PMDG staff. I didn't see anything about it mentioned in the upcoming SU1, so I thought I just might bring it up again. As I stated before (on the other 'temp' forum) the CTDs are instant, not giving me any kind of error report. I have this about 1 in 4 flights with the PMDG 747, usually after several hours of simming. It is never in the same place, or under the same circumstances. It can be during takeoff, climb, cruise, descent or landing. I have updated all my drivers (that I can think of). Specs: P4 2.8, 2G Ram, ATI Radeon 9800XT(512M), MSFS 9…

I know all about the prior discussions as to not developing anymore updates to the 'NG series' or maybe they might update it in the future but haven't addressed it yet etc. etc.,but,,,,I would still like PMDG to reconsider updating this aircraft for a number of reasons. The 'NG series' came out in approx. 1997 and with that birthday, it will be with us for a very long time. Possibly another 30 to 40 years. The 'NG' is also used in short, medium and long range flights, whereas the larger Boeing aircraft are primarily utilized for long hauls which can be very time consuming if you don't utilize the simulation 2X,4X etc. features. Don't get me wrong here, I'm only asking the…

Just a quick one..........After i reinstalled the 744 and 737, when i use my CH Quad and the autothrottle button on the panel, i seem to have a conflict somewhere.Prior to the reinstall, i would accelerate by pushing the throttles forward (as you do) then after engaging the Auto throttle using MCP speed i would bring the throttle sback to idle and let the auto throttle do its job. Now though, when i pull the throttles back to idle the engines lose power and it looks like the auto throttle is fighting with them to bring the speed abck up. It never gets past 41% N1 for some reason.Hopefully thats not to incomprehensible! Any ideas? I do have the registered version of FSUIPC…

We're cruising at FL30 and are instructed by ATC to decend to FL25.In what circumstances do we reset the altitude from 30,000 to 25,000 and then hit the ALT button? And in what circumstances do we reset the altitude, choose the vertical speed then press the FLCH button?Cliff

This topic has been covered within the Terminal Procedures forum but after performing an upgrade of PMDG's navdata and importing a flight plan from FSBuild from LFSB to LEAM I receive an error from the FMC about runways. Also, displaying the arrival page there are no runways, SIDS, or STARS. I followed the directions posted in the Termainals Procedures Forum but to no avail.Any help would be appreciated.Ulysese

Hi, well, is there anyway of doing this. The reason I ask is the FMC seems to always spit out a stab. trim of 6.0 units regardless of weight. My G/W the other day was 389,000 Kg's and again the trim setting was advised at 6.0, on rotation she really struggled.I flew yesterday at around the same weight and increased the trim to 6.8 units, it worked a treat! So, can the trim be more accurately, manually calculated?Thanks.Mark.

Hi guys,Hardly the biggest of issues but I did notice it and thought I might raise it.I was flying the PW model and taking a look at the externals when I noticed that the crew escape hatch on the cockpit ceiling was blinking off (ie disappearing) for a brief moment in time with the red beacon. Also, if you look at the aircraft through tower view from a great distance, the external skin of the aircraft is hidden and you can see all the main deck seating and toilets, galleys etc inside!Out of curiosity what is the point of having this internal detail if it's not normally even visible?Cheers

Fly over 500 people from A to B in just over an hourThe upcoming Service Update 1 for PMDG 747-400 Queen of the Skies will add a new "hide winglets" option that allows simmers to recreate flights of the 747-400D "Domestic" version. This 747 variant is exclusively operated in Japan by All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines to fly high-density domestic routes such as Tokyo-Osaka. Thus, making it the perfect addition for enthusiasts interested in short flights that follow real airline schedules/routings. Accurately registered -400D liveries for JAL and ANA will be available at PMDG's download center, a free service available for 747-400 Queen of the Skies customers.http://www…

HiHaving read the excellent flight guide published in this forum I have now managed a couple of successful flights. There is, however, still one problem that I encounter quite a lot (most times in fact) whereby the plane does not follow the VNAV flight path. Worst still, the speed keeps varying between 145 - 160 knots while the vertical speed oscillates from anything between +/-4000fpm.I also find that sometimes HOLD does not come on during the take-off rollout, and sometimes auto throttle does not come on at all despite having FD and Auto throttle turned on.LNAV is always followed perfectly and I wondered if my problem is glaringly obvious from the symptoms.Alas I am not…

Hello,I have lost near on 70hours thanks to the both of these, im not sure which is doing right or wrong but as you can imagine its extremley frustrating. This has done this many times and have seen posts on other avsim forums regarding this issue with the PMDG 747. Is it an error, will it be fixed in the 1.03 patch. The Game will crash anytime during a flight, normally near the end and the screen would go blank, still have sound, then it would sometimes show the plane for a spilt second, then dissapear. Sound still present, then it would display "Flight Simulator needs to close, We are sorry for the inconvience message" This would then display in event viewer the fs9 an…

Hi all,Quick question I am using a T8 for various items with the PMDG737.I can make the starters move via goflight software on the overhead, however I have also programmed the fuel cut off and on levers via goflight software and they don't seem to be moving them at all in the sim?Progammed in goflight software as = Eng1_fuel_run_cutoff Eng2_fuel_run_cutoffDo I need to setup any keystrokes or anything?Has anyone got this working with a T8? Would be a real great thing to get working.I have seen a breif not that someone had got it working....Thanks in advance.Mark P

Hey all, On my most recent flight I had a texture issue. When it reached sundown most of the textures switched to their night equiv in the VC. A few didn't however, I believe it was the throttle area and the back parts of the main glareshield (around the PFD, ND, EICAS) and overhead I believe. The FMCs did and the MCP also.Any ideas?Andras

Hi guys,First off, GREAT THANKS to PMDG's professional Team for their marvellous products. They deserve only the best. Just one word - EXCELLENT! However, this excellency requires a lot of reading, understanding and practicing, of course. Keeping short, I'd like to get answer to one of the questions that I have discovered both while going through the 747's Ops Manual and simming [sometimes i think the questions will never end but on the other hand, what might be the best way of exploring and learning?]. Sorry if they have been asked before. This is one of them listed below. I'm gonna post others, if any [Wanna be sure that i'm not missing anything in the manual and add-on…

OK guys,Sorry to post here but I've tried two different e-mail accounts and don't get an auto response. I assume this means e-mail not getting through.I need to get the 744 installs re-set so I can re-install. (Yea, I screw around too much)Thanks,George Stoddard"bigun"

Hello guys, just one tiny question:I was practising VOR DME Approaches this evening and tried to get the Queen to lock onto the manually tuned VOR via the "LOC"-function of the Autopilot. For some reason it overshot the tuned radial several times. So I was just wondering if I
