PMDG General Forum

I have been a desktop pilot for over 8 years and have flown most of all of the software sim's including PS1.3a, PMDG 737NG's, PIC767 and the Level D 767. All all superb in their systems but the biggest glitch in all of the above software is the LACK of a good YOKE & THROTTLE arrangement. I had 2 hours on the real 737 NG-700 flight simulator and I can also tell you that I trained on the PMDG 737NG software which is outstanding and it was a breeze knowing all about the systems and the aircraft in general from the manual, tutorials & lots of time. The biggest disappointment however is that nobody has developed or marketed a YOKE & RUDDER set-up that is AFFORDABLE…

I still cannot see fire engine or apu handles in the first degree of lighting! Also gear lever and throttle quad are not illuminated in the first degree! I reinstalled the Queen from my file that I got from you, and after that I applied the 1.10 patch and after that I installed some liveries.Why can't I see this repaired? Or wasn't it repaired yet?

Hi,Is there a way to adapt the cfg-file because the Queen crashes after i landed her gentle and soft on not so soft runways. I know this not the Emperial way;) and this has to do with some sceneries.I noticed that some freeware sceneries (Lowie version 2 from Jim Vile and Lieo, Lira, limc (from IDE) f.i. have wobbely runways (if 'wobbely'is plain English).I can see the bogies from the Level-D having a hard time but the plane survives; the PMDG 737NG also survive this maltreatment, but not the Queen. She is too sensetive.A real treat the Lowie approach to 1996m runway with an offset ILS by the way.Regards,Psycho762 (happy customer)

Evening all,I recently had a crash to desktop on approach into Hamburg airport with the 737-600.The microsoft error report revealed that the TCAS2v7.dll was the culprit of the crash. I've looked at this file (in main fs9 directory) and have seen that its version is 1.1.6.0Recently I purchased the level-D 767 with SP2.1. Looking at forum postings it seems that this updated TCAS2v7.dll. It seems that two commercial add-ons are sharing (and modifying) common files with each other.My question is: how can I stop this problem from happening again? Nedd a little help.During approach setup I select the assigned runway but I get all Stars shown, not only the suitable Star for the selected rwy. So, how to get the programmed STARS listed according the selected runway(s) in the SID/STAR file?I have tryed out the Tutorial from Terry but it didn't worked out.Thanks for any help on this

Hi,I just tested the fuel system and logic. I am wondering that there are no manual control of the crossfeed 2 and 3 valves and in flight the valves always remain open and the switches have no function - so I am not able to close the valves.But in case of a fuel leak is suspected all crossfeed valves must be closed to have a complete tank to engine situation.Thanks for your advice.AlfredLOWW

Hi,I downloaded the service pack and it said that my current 747 version does not support the update. So I unistalled PMDG747 and tried to renistall/validate but nothing happens. I type in order number and password then the validation screen just disappears. This makes me feel very nervous because now I don't have the Queen anymore. COuld someone please help.RegardsTristan

Hello everyone, I hope someone can answer a question for me. Is the autoland feature available on the 600/700 series. I have tried numerous times, but cannot activate autoland. With CMD A auto pilot activated, I select APP on MCP, then try to activate the second autopilot (CMD :(. This causes CMD A to deselect. What am I doing wrong. Thank you for your help. Bob428 :-hmmm

I'm planning on getting back online this month, and doing it again, and have been flying the 737's for years, and really enjoy the PMDG products. What would cause the wild left to right nose behavior on landing in the 737-800NG? I experienced this before, and forgot what was the cause, but it ruins an otherwise perfect landing. This occurs on both automatic, and manual landings.Miklos

I just purchased the PMDG 747-400 add on. I downloaded the 57 meg file to a temp folder. filename(PMDG 747_400_V1R10) It is an application file and when I click on it nothing happens. I thought it should have been a zip file?. " How do I install it onto fs 2004?" Can anyone at all please help me ???Thanks...

I just purchased "747-400 queen of the skies" and downloaded the 57 meg application file. When I try to start it nothing happens, I get a flash of a screen trying to start then nothing.. Having trouble finding installation instructions??????? Can anyone please help..

Hi can someone help me with the animation of the stairs on the 737NG 600/700 and 800/900, I have assigned CTRL + F9 to 'extend concorde nose & visor fully" and F10 to "'retract concorde nose & visor fully" but nothing is happeningI have restarted FS9 to check if thats whats was needed but I still have no stairsI had the engines running at the time, but I think that would not be a problemthanksDave

I'm trying to complete my first trouble free longhaul flight from KJFK to EGKK.
