FMC has no Navdata after the patch for the 744. This is even effecting my 737NG install. I downloaded and installed the latest Navdata set (even though the older version's files still populated the PMDGSIDSTARS directory)...On the 'INDENT' page 'NAV Data' displays "Installation Required N.A'.I don't know what else to install... :-(Other than this the update seems to have solved all major issues I was having. Thanks for the update... :-)

I have on any trip, more or less experienced radical changes in CRZ speed in high altitudes.Scenario;Flying Virgin 011 from EGLL to KBOS, climbout OK.. first stage of CRZ OK.. then.. when Active Sky refresh the WX and the winds.. the speed tape drops to 230kts IAS which makes flying hard.I have tried with wind smoothing ON, OFF.. I have tried winds aloft ON OFF.. I have tried alomst everything.. with the same result.How come this only happening in the 747 not in 737, nor Level D 767 or even PSS 777..Tips? (really wanna enjoy this baby 110%)

Hi,After applying the patch for the 747 I had some trouble with my interior sounds which were all gone. I then did a total reinstall of the 747 by first removing it via Add/Remove programs and I also deleted all the old situation flights etc manually. Ater that my interior sounds were back but it also led to another great thing - all of a sudden the rate and smoothness when panning around using the hat on the yoke in spot view was back again from having been very "unsmooth" longer than I can remember. Hey, just wondering if there is any way to eliminate individual antennae's from the exterior model and also to add the satcom bump that is found on particular carriers? The reason i ask is that i've noticed the model seems to have a lot of the antennae's on the fuselage and as you know, antennae configurations are airline specific and vary from carrier to carrier.I know that other developers such as LDS with their 767, have allowed users/painters to select which antennae's will show up on their paint by using alpha techniques, rather than having to make seperate models for each antennae configuration that exists. hello,sorry for my english it is not very good.I've got a problem when i'm with 747 upgraded with the latest version. In the FMC when i put the cruise altitude for exemple FL310 the "execute" light doesn't come!!! when i go back to the legs page the altitude goes up to FL410. I don't know what to do. I can change the altitude in the init page but it doesn't change anything, it goes always up to FL410Thanks for your help

I have all the Boeing-PMDG products installed and find it a minor annoyance to have to navigate to the bottom of the list to select the 747 in FS9 "create a flight" (I always load the FS9 default 747 on startup). Here's how to create a separate menu for the PMDG 747.Go to the PMDG747 aircraft folder, make a backup copy of the aircraft.cfg file to be safe, then open the original aircraft.cfg file and do a "replace" in each version of the sim. Since your file probably opens with "notepad", you can use the universal replace function under the "edit" menu. Hey guys, well done on the release of the new update- my stuttering problem has gone!!- the gauges are lovley and smooth and I'm getting exellent, stutterless performance and stable FPS. I have only done a few circuits at EGLL, it's the first time I have flown her and really enjoyed it - thanks for the great work. The wait was worth it.Now I need lots of time for some long haul.

PMDG,I don't post often and when I do it's because I have serious issues. On this occassion it's not so much an issue but I've had to uninstall FS9 due to it not loading past the splash screen. Anyway my request is that if you can, can you please validate my 747 download link so I can reinstall the queen along with the universal update? Good morning.Just one word to say that I found no problems after installing the new patch. Runs very smooth.Now my question: I fly all the heavy planes including this one entirely from keyboard. But I have never been able to taxi with keyboard arrows. Once I press one of them, the plane becomes totally uncontrolable. Hello Gentlemen,I am pretty sad today : I have installed the service update this morning, made few test flights, and discovered some issue that I did not have before the install of SU1 5 (I used the interim patch before).The pacth install in itself went all ok.1) The ADF needles are completely messed up: they point to I dont know which direction, all but the NDB direction: it used to work superbly before SU1. But that's a minor issue, compared to 2) The LNAV mode turns the opposite direction when reaching a waypoint. I was very imperessed with non-fs/custom yaw damper modelling, I'm sure were working perfectly before V1.1, in manual flight (AP OFF). But I can't see any rudder action in eicas status page or in external view anymore, even in extreme slip/skid conditions..Also is there any workaround for saving failures menu settings to use with each flight?Thanks,Bozhan.

Big problem here.For some reason I can longer load PMDG 737 600/77/800/800, but I can the standard FS aircraft and PMDG Queen of the Skies which leads me to believe I have somehow corrupted the 737 files.Re-installing the PMDG 737 800/900 download update didn't cure the problem and attempting to install the package from start with the CD version of 737 600/700 with Windows XP x64 results with the installation hanging trying to install the required fonts into c:/windows/fontsThere must be a way around the problem, possibly an x64 setting, as some months ago I successfully installed the package, but I have no idea how??Any ideas appreciatedGraham McAllister

Hi all, this problem has been discussed many times before, but as I was believing it was solved with the new tcas2v7.dll, last night it occurred once more (at least for me) :-( I was flying the 747 at FL360 online(IVAO) and an F16 was very close that gave me a tcas alert with a red icon on the ND. Then after 2 mins or so, FS9 hanged, displaying a message regarding the Visual C++..I looked for the TCAS2v7assert file in FS9 and I found this: (*i)->iptr != NULL: F:FS2004SDKTCAS2v7dllglobal.cpp:135What do you think?Thanks very much for any helpMatthew Abela

I was about to give up and just try and put up with that noise alot of us know about, because none of the solutions seemed to work on my machine. I don't have a sound blaster card and was not able to update drivers. Reducing hardware acceleration in DXDIAG didn't work either. Here's how I came across a fix that worked for me..*Control Panel*Sounds and Audio Devices icon*Volume Tab*Advanced Link, under Speaker Settings*Performance Tab*Then moving the "Sample rate conversion quality" slider from the position of "BEST" down to "GOOD"This has solved all of the scratching/static/crackling problems for me. I have a few questions regarding the PMDG 747 CD version which is about to be issued.1. Will the CD version include the patches issued to date?2. If not, will the patches work with the CD version?3. I read a review that said it took about 80 minutes to get the plane ready for taxi from a cold start. This includes programing the flight plan into the FMC. Is 80 minutes a realistic estimate?4. How long will it take to get the plane ready for taxi if the plane is loaded with the engines running, and all that is needed is to program the FMC? I have installed the 747 update and have the latest version of FSNavigator. I only use FSN for the map. Since installing the update, FSN takes about 10 seconds to load (the FS9 default 747 loads "instantaneously", for example) but that is not the more serious problem. As soon as the FSN map appears, the PMDG747 makes the "whoop-whoop" sound, the engines reduce power drastically, and there is an FMC message that says "max altitude FL243" -- I've never seen that before. All the MCP lights (VNAV, LNAV, etc.) are on and the aircraft gradually recovers to normal. Switching to FSN again does not cause the effect, only when loading for the first time.
