    Fellow flightsim/aviation enthusiasts,I have a problem with the Queen. Basically my problem is with performance/frames. When I start in the Queen (VC) everything is fantastic and frames are where I expect them to be. It's only when I execute my flight plan (not necasarily long) that my frames drop thus performance. When using FMS for my flights there is a significant drop in performance. However, when I land and the FMS ends the route frames jump straight back up and the performance is great again. I can fly circuits of touch and go around an airport and the Queen is the greatest aircraft to fly, performance is superb, its just when I load a flight plan performance drops.…

    it appears that I no longer can hear the APU sound, this is with the full install of the latest patch. After switching to an outside view I do not hear the roar of the APU... is it just me, am I crazy?

    Sirs,I would like to ask a question regarding reverse thrust. Upon touchdown of the 744, as soon as the nose wheel makes contact, I deploy reverse thrust (F2), but for some reason, as soon as I apply, the reverse thrust immediately goes back to its idle position.Thank you for your patience.Motty Nolos

    Hello all,I'm new to the Sim Forum world. I just bought the PMDG 747-400 the other day..... Wow, what a piece of work she is! :) When I went through the initial setup, everything was ok. Since I've loaded the cold and dark flight from KLAX and after going through the startup procedures, I loose my flight display. Also I've noticed none of the doors will open.I've read through most of the manuals, but I'm not sure whats might be wrong, or how to fix it?Any help is greatly appreciated!Cheers,Pierre.

    Guys, I've tried flying with the latest update for the past week and it's just got too many rough edges for me personally. For me, there are simply too many gremlins lurking around the electrical and autothrottle systems, new sounds, etc. Of course, other user's mileage may vary.I've gone back to the original install + the interim update and I'm happy as a clam. This setup seems much more 'bulletproof', at least with my experience.Maybe a testament to how good the original release was and still is? :)Either way though, great sim, no others come close to the realism experience of PMDG.

    How do I set the TA (Transistion Altitude) during the descent phase of the flight ?I was flying a flight from EGLL (London Heathrow) to ELLX (Luxembourg) and out of EGLL I had set the TA to 5000 feet (as it should be). When I started the descent (from FL340) I set the TA to 6000 feet (as it should be for ELLX), however at some point during the flight (before I descented below 6000 feet) I noted that the first 2 pages of the VNAV mode on the FMC didn't allow me to see/change the TA anymore.Can anyone tell me how to change the TA during the descent?http://jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannerbeta.jpgPelle F.     I have dug up an old set of pedals which can be connected via USB; however, they are programmed as the Y axis, which would not control my rudder (i think rudder is the Z axis). I cannot just change the assignments in the flight sim menu because my joystick (which i want to use in conjunction with the pedals) already uses the Y axis for roll. Is there anyway to change the axis of a controller?thanks in advance

    After reinstalling FSUIPC to fix update problems I'm having a tough time getting the QuadThrottle congigured using FSUIPC.According to Pete Dawson it map to an addons airfiles somehow in FS2004.When I originly set it up I had to manualy adjust the individual throttle paramaters in FSUIPC config file.I forgot what they are. Someone posted the values but I cant find them doing a search, may have been on the temp forum?So the question is, Can any of you guy's configured QuadThrottle and reg FSUIPC look in your FSUIPC.cfg file and post the values.     Hello,I'm not able to change the thrust limit setting when using FL/CH after take off. The FMC thrust lim page doesn't change to the inflight menu after liftoff.So there is no way to change the thrust limit for the rest of the flight.It only works when VNAV is armed before takeoff.Is this a known problem, or is it appearing here only?Kind regards,Joerg Wilms /EDDF

    Hi All,Last night I was attempting to perform a CATIII autolanding at KEWR, there was a blizzard. Both A/P and APP were engaged, speed was 170kts, Flaps 25, VOR's and NAV radios set. G/S was captured. At appx. 1100ft I lost visual of the runway. This was fine, the plane was continuing on it's descent as it normally would when all of a sudden...At about 700ft, all A/P's automatically disconnected and the A/C pitched up, but I was still going down. I attempted to apply power and get the bird up, but it was too little, too late. I crashed just short of the runway.     Hi!A few strange things still astonish me that they haven't got fixed:-When turning off the A/T switch, I always get the EICAS caution that it has been turned off together with the aural - even if no A/T mode was previously selected!!-When pressing an engeaged AP's CMD button it will turn off - this is completely unrealistic!!-THe MCP is very slow when selecting new modes - the assosicated light should illuminate immediately or at least the button should be animated. No feedback to the user is present...Adrian

    Since the update, I'm getting a "FUEL DISAGREE" message shortly after touchdown on every flight.Totalizer and Calculated fuel do match throughout the flight but subsequent to touchdown the numbers vary by more than the permitted value of 9,000 pounds triggering the "FUEL DISAGREE" message.Page 12-57 of the FMC Users manual clearly provides a description of what causes this alert.......The question is, What is it after the update that causes the fuel quantity Totalizer/Calculated comparison to suddenly vary by more than 9,000 pounds shortly after touchdown.____________________________________________________________Also, The "crackling" sound issue is very pronounced.
