Hello fellow flight-simmers! I was recently conducting a flight from PHKO (Kona, HI) to PHLI (Lihue, HI) in an attempt to imagine myself in a warmer environment. After reading through the downloadable .pdf file on programming my FMC, there is an area which I'm a little confused on. The last leg I programmed into my route was one specific intersection on a victorway. Normally I program the destination airport there. This time I decided I would use that intersection and then follow-up with the arrival. After receiving vectoring instructions from ATC to decend and turn this way and that way, I decided I would cancel IFR and proceed with the route as planned. I listened…

Hi guys, for what I can find FANTASTIC update. However, and i don't know if this was there before the update cause i just noticed this;http://members.home.nl/vos69/pmdg_anomaly.jpgthe starboard engines (the red arrow) rotate (and should) CCW, so do the port engines, however if you look closely you can see, that the leading edge of the compressor blades of the starboard engines are mounted to work in the OPOSITE rotation, namely CW ( I marked this as a white arrow / line in the picture)....Anyway, just a minor beauty error, regards,Anthony

Just loaded this update and fired up my 74 right away to see some of the changes. First problem I noticed which in my mind is extremely wrong is: In the start sequence of any engine, at the n2 where fuel is normally introduced to the engine there is no fuel flow indication on the lower mfd until the engine is running and stable. In the previous versions of PMDG 747-400, the flow indication showed, what I believe to be properly, at the stable n2 cranking speed when the fuel condition lever was set to ON; 20-26% n2. The flow should read 2.0pph at the introduction of the fuel at any n2 engine speed. Will this problem be addressed?

Marc,It sounds like you would be helped by a uninstall of the complete 744 and then install your base 744 followed by the newly released 744 SU1.Sometimes the installers mess things up.Hope it helps,

I'm really pleased to see that the engine EGT rises smoothly now on startup, thanks guys! However I notice that the N1 spools up to a point in the mid teens then - as the starter toggle clicks back into the off position - very rapidly rises to the idle RPM. Is this how it actually happens? I honestly don't know so I'm curious to see if this is RW behaviour. Also the spool up and down (down more so) seems quite fast, especially for an engine with a fairly big N1 fan, 'rotational inertia/momentum' I think it's called, high school physics was a long time ago for me!Again, this might actually be realistic but I don't know. Can anyone with RW 747 experience comment?ThanksMarkPS…

Hello dear PMDG,As a privat pilot i (and probably you all too) know the term "good airmenship".As a businessmen i also know the term "good businessmenship".I wanted to install the queen on a second PC so i purchased the queen for the second time. After payment i downloaded the puchase and tried to install. This wasn't possible.Writing an email to support@pmdg resulted in a automatic generated answer that as of 15 november web and mailserver is Out of Use.Therefore validation on install isn't possible. On the PMDG website and behind the Support tab it say's "server status normal"....so no problems at all......Isn't it good businessmenship to let purchasing customers know (bef…

When using frame variation option, i made a flight yesterday and noticed that there is a variation sometimes of frame rate. There is times in flight that the variation is more than 15%.I think it is some gauge that causes it, because if i turn off the panel with shift + 1, the variation is gone. If i return the panel, the variation return with high level than stabilized again. But from time to time it returns again.RegardsSandro Becker

Hi Guys, Just did the update, and was wondering where the winglets thing is at.I read some other folks talking of a models section. Is this supposed to be in the PMDG drop down area? Cause if so, it isn't in mine. Did my update not take? I tried again and it said it was already installed. Hmm....help!ThanksShane Lewis

Hi,Updated and loaded the aircraft (after loading the default flight). After loading the navdata a crash to desktop.I removed all custom dlls from the modules folder (except the pmdg dll and fsuipc.dll) - still ctd.I then rolled back to the restorepoint created by the pmdg installer. I then tried to load the 747 - crash but not to the desktop. Error message about error in PMDG_747400_Main.gau, which is dated nov 28. I'll give it another shot when I've got some time to spend reinstalling all over. I wonder if somebody else experience the same problem with the 1.10 update.Ulf BFS9.1WinXP Pro SP2 (Swedish settings)nVIDIA 7800 GTX (drivers 77.77)3GB RAMAMD 64 X2

I've just looked at the pss website and it claims(though i have'nt seen it)that their 777 has a weather radar built into the nav display. How have they managed this when PMDG have said it cound not be done due to limitations in fs9.

Hello,Flying from the right seat I've noticed it's only the captain's FMC that displays FMC messages. I know in the Airbus it's both, what's the RL behaviour with the 744? Also is there a way to disable the associated "BING" when an FMC message is displayed ? I believe it was added for the 737NG because there was no EICAS alert but with the 744 flying from the 2D panel the message is clearly visable. Hence is the sound really needed? Also, the keyboard commands to increase/decrease radio altimeter do not seem to work with Round Radio Alt selected. Regards,Paul

This is from my post on another forum...OK,I am not going to name names but a certain payware developer missed a release date yesterday. I just thought I would let everyone know as it is a great opportunity to go and post your comments such as..."when is it coming""why is it delayed""when is it coming""can you wait for it""when is it coming""you owe me""I am mad""give me your house and first born""now that it is delayed will it have this""can you add this""what is taking you so long""I am contacting my credit card company""this is theft""the developer is a liar""the developer owes us"and FINALLY..."this is the worst service I have ever received in my life"LOL,thought this…

I noticed that even if you alter the transition altitude the S restrictions still show in feet from 18,000ft ie if you use a FL060 transition then it doesn't show FL above that. Still checking the other stuff out.David Miles

How do most of you all do this? What I mean is, do you slow to 210 with AT. When you get to the point to do 180, put that in the AT and Flap 5, ect? I always thought flaps should slow the plane, not the AT input I have in there. Does that make sense? Also, at the OM, what should your config be? Should you be at landing config before OM, or should you put it in landing config at OM? ThanksBrad

Hi there.I am new to the Queen of the skies and I would like to Customise Her.(I chosen RB211 engines and there aren't EPR read outs in the upper eicas, Customise key commands and joystick).I read that there is a PMDG menu which has been added to the normal menu bar within the microsoft flight simulator so to customize it.The thing is that I can't find that menu bar within the microsoft flight simulatorCould someone tell me where it isThank you very much indeedRegards
