    In my opinion the content of this PMDG-forum is quiet confusing hence there are no categories.The structure of the temporary forum was much more better:http://pmdg.forumsplace.com/index.php?sid=...da39454163fa03eAll the topics were preselected in- Download Issues- General Support- Discussion Forum- Tech Support Handlingand so on...In the AVSIM/PMDGforum it is quiet more difficult to find the topics, everyting is mixed up. In Austria we'd call this "kraut und rueben"...As a consequence discussions about the same topic take place contemporaneously or start over and over again: the efficiency of the forum can easily be enhanced by making just s few changes in the structure..…

    Hi guys,I have no idea what is going wrong with me or the sim. I set everything up and get "FMC preflight complete" an also nothing showing when I press Recall.My problem is when ever I takeoff I select gear up everything is fine at 400ft press LNAV and at 1000 ft I engage the Autopilot. Everything is ok until this point at which the aircraft enters a steep left turn and hits the ground. I have the latest AIRAC and I am puzzled as to why this happens. The autopilot definately doesnt follow the SID when I press LNAV. I am at a loss to explain this. Also the trim is set and I don't get any configuration warnings or anything. WHat is the problem??     Has anyone tried the new Pratt & Whitney PW4056 sound set, for the Boeing 747-400, by Devyn Silverstein? Look for pw4056.zip at AVSIM. Just out today. It might be interesting to compare PMDG's sound set with this one.

    Hi, I have only just started using FS and downloaded PMDG 747-400. I have noticed that when using it i get a sound problem - a crackling interferance - even when i move the joystick controls . Is there a fix for this , and does anyone else experience this problem ?.

    I just pre-ordered the CD-ROM edition online from Aerosoft Canada and got a confirmation. I was just curious, however, will the CD include the latest update 1.03 which looks to be very substantial?Great work on getting a CD-ROM distributor so fast, PMDG.     In the VS744 DVD the checklist calls for packs 2 and 3 to be off.Any particular reason why 2 and 3 as opposed to 1 and 2 or 1 and 3?Do other airlines have other practices in respect to this?

    Dear 737NG captains,I wouldn't deprive you of my latest success story. After a midday's session by a far more experienced 737-driver I began my training. And, thus it happened! I did my first ever CatIII-ILS autolanding at KSFO 28R this evening. It took me quite a while figuring out how the AFDS combines/interacts with the FMS and reading the annunciations on my PFD. The thing is, I noticed during practise, it's all about making the right decisions at the right moment(s). Ergo, for newbies in mastering the "autoland-beast", pushing the right button at the exact right moment during descent/approach. It's a daunting task for sure.   11. Lately, when I try to use the virtual panel view, I get a scrambled mismash of gauges all over the wrong places. Very odd. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix? I have a fairly new Dell with no speed or quality issues with the video card. Everything else is great.I tried to attach a photo so you can see what I mean.Thanks

    Hello I turned back to PMDG 737 and after 10 manual landings I decided to make an autoland just to be able to enjoy the approach onto Chicago Midway a little more. I hit VOR/LOC at the MCP. Perfect capture. As I was 1 dot below the glideslope I hit APP on the MCP and the GS-Mode on the PFD's Mode Anunciator showed G/S, first grey, then green. Captured. After the diamonds were perfectly centered I hit the second autopilot. Shortly after that, the message Single CH on the PFD disappeared and a green CMD appeared. VOR/LOC and G/S were indicated as green modes on the PFD. Everything went ok but the yellow light on the APP-button extinguished to my surprise. The autoland worke…

    For a trans Atlantic flight (Gatwick to Reagan) I set up my fuel load (fully loaded) and all looks good (with FSP verfied through FS9)... I then go to my FMC to get it set up, but when my Perf Init page comes up it shows only about a half of my load (~141k lbs). Then, if I pull down the PMDG fuel to check... I only have 141k lbs of fuel with my main center tank empty and main 2 and 3 only at a half load. Where did the rest of the fuel go? Cancelling the FSP flight and redoing the fuel doesn't help because as soon as I get into the FMC the fuel load goes back down again.This just started happening, I've been making FSP flights happily for a couple days with no issues.

    Hey guys!I am trying to see how I can fix this in my PMDG 737NG 2D panels.For some reasons, I have a resolution of 1024 x 968 or something like that and some of the gauges like the backup altimeter and airspeed are just too small to view. If I want to check the altimeter setting in milibars I can't even see it cause it's sooo small. Also the EHSI details are small. I have a 17 inch monitor and I am having issues with it. Is there a way to improve this?Thanks much,

  19. Hey guys!!!Whenver I am at the gate or in the middle of a flight and suddenly I change times from day to night or from night to another time in night in the PMDG, the main panel goes crazy. The gauges display erroneous things like for example the swith for the Autobrake is set to off and after the refresh it show RTO when it really isn't engaged. The altitude, headings and everything in the MCP is just not displayed unless I click again over it. Any other switch for the gear, or any other knob it reappears in the opposite position.Very strange behavior.     I bought Queen of the Skies and I love the flight dynamics and the appearance of the plane. However, I'm not really an advanced flight simmer. The plane is a tad more sophisticated than I capable of flying. So I changed the panel and made a few adjustments so the autopilot would work correctly with a simpler panel. With the simpler panel, it flies great. Much better than the default 747. Only problem is, now none of the animations work. My front landing gear wheel is now permanently turned perpandicular to the aircraft, the ailerons, flaps, rudder, and elevator animations no longer work at all. I was wondering if anybody knows how to fix this?Thanks,Jason

    Hello,i am enjoying PMDG's 747 for some time now and i was surprised by it's performance on my mediocre system (2.4 gh, 1mb memory, radeon 9600pro) so i'm thinking about PMDG's 737-800. Is it as framerate-friendly as the 747? I'm using the VC most of the time, exept for landings on crowded airports. (I'm using UT)thanks in advance, Joost

    I cannot understand what I am doing wrong here. When I am first told to start to descend (say to FL X) I select the new altitude on the MCP then LVL change. What happens then is I have an aircraft that would frighten the #### out of the pax. OK, its controllable by using the VS control but surely VNav should sort things out.I have the FMC set to PATH and NOT SPD but isn't I thought speed is not speed of rate of descent.Can anyone help so that when I want to go down I don't go down at 4000fpm ?Kind regardsNigel Thomas-Smith
