what's the difference between THR and THR REF modes? does one command speed and one just limits it, or something like that?

I just downloaded the manual and it is the Operating Manual by Boeing issued on 1 April 2001! It is 964 pages. Nowhere does it mention PMDG!M TanYSCB

Hello,use the FMC of the 747 the same format for the flightplans like the 737NG?? Or must i wait until FSBuild were updated to write 747 Flightplans??

Can anyone help with this one Page 41 of the manual which gives a step by step guide to the v speed calculations , step 4 says determine the desired thrust settings (full or derated)and flap settings for takeoff, my question is how do you determine or decide what flap and derate settings you need i cant find any info about this please can an expert explain this whole process cos i seem to be missing somthingthanks in advanceKav

Hi Guys,Just wondering if you know of a good fuel planner for the 747 similar to the one that Milan Puta (found in Avsim file libraries) did for the 737? I just want to get things prepared for the release.Thanks in advnance,John

If possible, It may help everyone out, if you can offer the Fuel Burn Data over to Ernie Alston (FSBUILD) before release, that way he can update and make available for the release of the 744.You know everyone is going to be asking for it anyways, might be a good idea to provide that DATA ahead of time. Perhaps release both in unison?Just a thought.

I noticed a couple posts in the main thread about this - if you guys find any spelling mistakes or typos, you can email me at [email protected] and I'll check and make sure RSR knows about them in time to fix it before the release. I sort of took the initiative and went through the manual looking for any mistakes a few days ago, but with the sheer amount and density of the text, I'm positive I missed things.Thanks all!

Since putting in a new video card I find that I cannot load any of the 737s from the menu. The AIRAC portion works, but when I attempt to go to the flying portion of the program I get the MS crash sign. I have not tried the B1900 yet but this seems to be the only a/c that I have had a problem.

hey all,Just started to try out my B1900C with win xp 64 bit..my problem is that i get black gauges showing nothing this is showing up in the reg. panel and the VC..this doesnt happen with the 737..so im wondering if this is win xp 64 related or something else? any ideas or experiences?thanks,Stephen

Can anyone help. With the sim cold and dark, when I turn on the battery, I don't have ground power available about 8 times out of 10. This means having to start the APU to get power. Any clues? Hi,The manual states (7-19): "indicates magnetic track (TRK-MAG) in MAP or PLN modes. Indicates magnetic heading (HDG-MAG) in VOR or APP modes.Is this a special airline option? Is is not possible to have HDG up in MAP mode due to program limitation or any other reason?Thank youWalter

Dear Forum and particular those in the know (developers, lucky old beta testers!) have wingtip vorticies, over wing condensation clouds and engine intake condensation been modelled? Just a passing question. Hello,The last page of the manual says the "Wind Page" is not modelled; is this the page the pilots put wind data into the FMC for various calculations, such as fuel burn? Maybe I'm missing something/confused but won't fuel burn figues potentially be way out ?-PaulCan't wait to try her out.

I can't find tables for TOW limited by available corrected runway length. Will they be supplied once 744 is released?It wouldnt be fun to charge with ladden 744 and to find the runway was too short for given weight and conditions ;)Have a nice flight!Aleksandar

Does random "counter" reset when loading new flight/new simulator session or is it cumulative? I.e. If I select 1/10hour does it mean 10hour of one simulator session or does it memorize it so if I fly 10 hours spanned on e.g. 2 weeks period (or lets say 10 different MS FS2004 sessions) it will not start from scratch?I hope this was understandable babble :)Have a nice flight!Aleksandar
