Like a lot of things in life, you only see the bad posts and seldom see anything good said about customer support. For you folks who are looking forward to the 747 but are on the fence because you wonder if you will be left high and dry after purchase, fear not. My problem came after another add-on managed to corrupt the VC of the 737/700. While "interesting" to look at it did make it difficult to fly to say the least. After trying to fix it, I decided on a complete reinstall. You never know what else was messed up. Problem was I had purchased the original progam back when it was version 1.0 and had done every upgrade after that. I couldn't find 1.1 to 1.2 upgrade and…

Hi guys.I think maybe i did a edit in the panel.vc some time ago. My gauges in VC mode are here there and every, except upside down. So, can i fix it with someone elses panel.cfg or do i have to reinstall?And if i have to re-install, do i have a key in a folder or a password in my emails? I have over 90gigs of everything payware, and at 50, memory really starting to stink.Most of my exes are on CDs, so i'll start looking while waiting for an answer.Keyno

first of all i am sorry if this has already been posted on the forum. when i fly some planes on fs2004 eg meljet 777, i notice that the plane never stays level when i increase the fs speed to 16 times the normal. it normally seems to fly up and down without me touching the controls. the question is will this problem be in the pmdg 747.thanks r.king

Hello all. I did promise a real Virgin Atlantic Checklist about 2 weeks ago. Have now finished my yearly exams and managed to get a copy of the checklist from our training department. I have uploaded it to Avsim so keep checking the new files for it..Hmmmmm' all we need now is the equipment to use the checklist on??Regards Pete

Spett. PMDG development staff,my name is Paolo Ferrara, and I'm a registered user of several products by PMDG such as B737 all series and Beech 1900 C/D. Unfortunately, after a FS2004 re-install after a HD update, I cannot reinstall my B737. When I launch the installer, apparently the program runs regularly towards the end of installation. When FS2004 is running, I can find the PMDG B737 in the list of aircrafts available, but when I try to fly it (pressing the button "fly now" I obtain an error message saying that is impossible find the "FS9 tree" and asking me if the installation of FS9 is regular! I have installed my FS2004 in a directory different from the default one…

Dear PMDG,Firstly, I apologise if this has already been covered. I wanted to ask, will importing flightplans into the 744 follow the same procedure as you're 737NG. I.e. create an FS flightplan, convert it to RTE format, then copy to the aircraft's flightplan folder, then open the nflightplan in the FMC by the flightplan code - EGLLKJFK01, for example.All the best,Steve.

Hello,Another question for dev team:I noticed while flying 737 that animation of throttles on the 2D panel is rather "jerky". It looks like they are moving in steps and detents like an Airbus *yuck*!!!So question is, is 747 going to have this nice and smooth? One of very important small details :-)

I think I read somewhere that PMDG was releasing their 747 as the GE modelled variant. So I was just wondering what airlines have GEs on their 747-400s? I don't know if anyone else has this problem, but I cannot use the altitude hold when flying online with VATSIM. I use SB3 and have fully programmed my flight plan into the FMC.As I'm being vectored, I use the MCP to dial-in headings and altitudes. However (for example I set 5000' and 250K), the aircraft begins the climb, and about 10 seconds later the altitude hold light extinguishes, and my airspeed setting jumps to 270K.Also, I cannot set the vertical speed. (I have LNAV and VNAV off)However if I select VNAV, it flys properly.This just started after I installed SB3.Thanks in advance to anyone with some insight!Gerry

Hi PMDG, is it possible to deactivate the IRS drift in the FMC like the LDS 767, because somtimes the map shift of the LDS is unrealistic. Especially if you have GPS updates. Another question: Could you please test the 747 somewhere in Alaska with high magnetic variation? Make sure that the ND (aircraft follows track, no offset to the route) looks not like the 737 in this area. It should look like LDS 767. Ok i had to reinstall my flight sim and and my pmdg aircraftnow im having a hard time finding what navedata cycles that i needwhat is iit that i have to get now i know that i need the sid and stars cycle and i need the AIRAC cycle do i only need those 2 cycles for the sim to run right? also i found the sid and stars cycle (507)buy i cant find the AIRAC 0507 cycle so i just downloaded the 506 cycle but when i was given the airport to land on and went into the FMC to get the information for the ILS runway i was landing on the FMC did not give me the course number now did it give me the ILS frequency. After today's (rather boring) class on management of design (engeering subject), i headed up to the airport for a few "happy snaps".Taking and watching 747-400's take off triggered my FS fetish.
