Hi GuysSorry in advance if I am missing something blindingly obvoius here!In the B737 how do I change the acceleration altitude ?And one other thing (not so obvious perhaps). Is the takeoff trim setting not properly enabled in ms flightsim, meaning that add on aircraft cannot make full use of this. If this is the case this will be the case with the new B747 ?CheersSteve

As I await the arrival of the PMDG 747-400 I've been using a crappy "un-calibratable" Logitech Extreme 3D Pro. About the 2nd month after having it, the precision went out the window along with the dead zone. Every little touch will cause planes in FS2004 to start turning off the runway and I've tried fixing it with several software dead zone features built into the (horrible) logitech joystick managament software. I don't want to have to deal with this when I'm flying the new 747. I just wanted to know if any of you enthusiasts could recommend a good joystick. I know a flight yoke would be a great option but I'm not looking for one as I also play many games which hav…

Hi, While we all wait for the big bird, I have a question: If doing a non precision approach that involves a procedure turn, how does one use the MCP to make sure that the rate of turn is standard etc.?I have been watching the GOL World Air Routes DVD and one of the approaches they do is such an approach. In the DVD the captain constantly changes the heading on the MCP, which I can understand. It seems to me that he is doing so to try to follow the programmed track on the ND. If that is indeed the case, how does he then program the route such that the turn is standard? Is is based on guestimation and experience?Thanks, :-waveBoazKSEA

I recently installed the united livery for the 737-700 except when i load the aircraft with that certain livery the VC is not loading dully most of the textures are missing around the cabin, the displays do show up and there are some textures around that area but the rest of the vc is not loading, the whole overhead panel is not there and the cabin door and the seats are missing? whats could be wrong? if i load the 737-700 normally with the pmdg livery everything seems to work fine. i checked the aircraft cfg and everythign is numbered right in order. Greetings all!Well I decided to fly some difficult approaches with the 737 in order to pass the time to the 74 arrives. I seem to remember reading somewhere "official" (PMDG website or forum post) that the release will be the "747-400/747-400D". I assumed that the "D" is the "Domestic version" as used by JAL and ANA in Japan. Can anyone from PMDG please confirm? That would be super super cool.....!!!!! Hi, I just noticed something that I have not seen before. I use FSNav and as normal I toggle the FSNav window by pressing F9. Now, for some reason when I do this I cannot use the 737NG "View Switches, M Z A L F O T R C" function. When I click on one of the view buttons nothing happens, but, the left, right, outside views etc. show the "panel view" in the bottom portion of my screen. I know it has nothing to do with the PMDG functionality because when I close the FSNav window everything works as it should. I have never had this problem before, using FSNav. why would it start now? I have rebooted thinking maybe that would fix the problem, but it did not. I've search…

Hello all,I had a question....a couple of times it happened that in the haste of getting underway, I forgot to turn the packs off before engine start as stated in the checklist and standard procedures for the 737. At least as far as the sim goes, the engines started anyway with no problem. I don't know if this is a limitation of FS9 as to the extent of system simulation. So the question is: in real life, having packs ON during engine start, would it preclude the possibilities of achieving enough N2 fan speed because the bleed air is being used by the A/C system, or would it not affect so much the start procedure as it happens in the sim?Are there any other eventual danger…

I'd like to ask beta testers if the panel loading times and general fps overall perfomance of the panel is faster than the NG? I am having some major load delays with the NG within the add-on airports. Since the Queen will be more complex than the NG, is there much performance differance? Not to rip on PMDG or anything (I love your work) but Level D's 767 panel is perfoming way better than the NG's panel. Please kindly advise. :)
