just a quick question concerning IRS in the 744... Anyone with knowledge in this area please reply :) In the 744 AOM, it states the procedure for an IRS full alignment to be to place the IRS mode selectors in OFF then into NAV... -Is the ALIGN (on the IRS mode selector switch) function used at all in full alignment, or is it only used in Fast Alignment? -It says the IRS will be ready when all systems enter navigation mode.. How does one tell when the IRS systems are in navigation mode.. (As the select switches are already in NAV for Full alignment, so i probably wouldn't tell if IRS was in navigation mode from the switches, would i? Is there an EICAS message or some…

Ciao to all,I've the PMDG 737-700 with Blue Panorama livery...Anybody can tell me why on nights flights, the only way to have the cabin lights on are swithching on the "landing lights"....???It isn't realistic having the landing lights on during ALL the cruising fase just to get the cabin lights on...Or maybe ther's a setting to fix???Thanx PAco

I can't click on anything in the VC panel except the FMC and the radios. I used to be able to click on everything and was trying to turn on the panel lights to the 'on' position and noticed I can't seem to be able to do this now.....Any thoughts on what may be causing this. I haven't added a thing and it used to work..Regards,jack

Hello Gents,I have a question regarding the ability of control the cockpitlightning. When I fly the 737NG in the evening hours and the aircraft mean that its dark enough, the panellights going on automaticly.Is that also the case on your 744, or can I decide when I need the lights. I dindn't mean the different type of lights, I mean the light that is on all the time.Regards Sven.

Hi, I just downloaded the SID/STARS and installed them. All the SID/STARS seem to work except for Orlando (KMCO). I checked to make sure they were in the download and they were. What could be wrong?

Any chance of seeing some screen shots of the PMDG options menu or the failures menu?and for the funny folks out there, i mean the menu for the 747 options not the 737 :(

Hi there. when i watch a b747 landing in videos on the web, i notice that on landing the forward flaps next to the engines move back to their normal resting place when the reverse thrust is engaged. will this be modeled on the PMDG 747?thanksR.King

Hi all,I create a flight in FS2004 and select the PMDG 737NG. I usually select the 737-700 2D flight. After it loads the created flight, the screen goes black and my computer locks up. I have to close it by using the Ctrl+Alt+Delete keys and click on End Task. I'm not sure if I need to reinstall FS2004 or just reinstall the PMDG programs. Have any of you had this problem and know what's causing it?Ken.

After completing Mr. Metzinger's Advanced Operations Guide (a great tutorial) I've noticed that when I start up FS9 and switch over to the PMDG 737, I can't change the radio frequencies with the exception of the transponder. I've even started FS9 with the Cessna and switched aircraft.I'm sure this is something simple that I am overlooking as the radio stack works fine with my other aircraft. I'm a new convert to the PMDG B737ng; after taking 2/3 days to read nearly 200 pages of The Manuals (then forgetting the first 150 pages) I felt ready to try out Fred Clausen's first class Tutorial. Having prepared the aircraft for flight....except for one tiny detail, which was, I quote "Set your trim to between 5% and 5.25%"! Fred added the warning "Failure to do will cause a late rotation!....very bad etc. etc." Well, no way could I find out how to set the trim; thinks I 'what the heck, if I go fast enough sure it will unstick!!!' Dear PMDG:I have one request for you: would you please make the default style of "Shift+Number" avaialble in the upcoming 747-400? Additionally, I also suggest NUM 5 to get the Overhead View?This is because when hand-flying the joystick hand is busy, and although I have TWO mice on my PC (left and right), it is hard to press the on-screen buttons on the menu. Pressing keyboard keys with free left hand is a lot easier, at least for me.Dunno if it is possible to put it in NOW if it is not already there, but I just thought of this, and thought it does not hurt to ask!Thanks,- Neeraj.

Hello, i have a problem with the FMC. It doesnt work. When i open the window of the fmc i see a grey screen inside the fmc.The buttons i can see, but i cannot use them. Also the second FMC by the Co pilot doesnt work. Please help !!!Thank youGreetings Bastieu

Hi all,At this moment I'm using version 3.40 of FSUIPC, when I install the newest version, I can't get any power to my aircraft, according to a light on my Overhead, it says that one of my TR Units had failed (a TR unit is a unit that transforms AC power to DC power), but this never happenend with an old version of FSUIPC.Did anyone ever encounterd a problem like this?Thanks in advance.Michael HenkeP.S. Gday all,Just upgraded to the 8/900 and cant get the FMC to compute V speeds. Everything is set up correctly ( and the FMC even says everything is complete) but the FMC wont compute the V Speeds? I tried different flap settings and still it wouldnt work, so I tried different ZFW, still no good. Out of desperation I entered TO flaps of 1 and the FMC would then compute my V Speeds albeit something close to 300 kts.Please help, Im doing everything the same as what was working fine with the 6/700.

Hi all, I have just been having a think where I should take the new Queen when it finaly arrives on my PC and I decided on EGLL - VHHH Hong Kong.As this is a beast of a flight (ok so it might be wise to do a couple of smaller flights first just in case!!) Whenever i land at an airport, i request taxi to the gate and every time i get instructions to taxi to another airlines gate. I usually fly WN and i have edited the aircraft.cfg file for SWA parking. This even happens when there are many SWA gates available. Is there anything I can do to change this or is this just bad Microsoft ATC?
