Hi Folks,I have just got back home from the convention in Blackpool and Aerosoft had a PC setup with the 'Queen of the Skies' flying. What a great convention it was and the PMDG B747-400.....The B747-400 is absolutely fabulous. I beleive it was still in beta but the VC and the 2d panel views are out of this world. It flew very smoothly and it was not on a top end PC.I am looking forward to its release even more now that I had a quick flight....only 5 minutes there was a queue :-)MikeEGGP

Hi,Ever since flying the CaptainSim 727 with their "check and set" I can't get over how immersive a virtual crew is. The LDS 767 has a basic virtual F/O, but it's better than nothing.I'm guessing that theirs a lot of PS1 pilots on this boards. You can't beat their checklist, airline specific, for adding that extra touch of realism. Will we see anything like this for the 744, or is it way too late in development?Cheers,PaulP.S. Any shots from the Convention?

Hi all. If this has been discussed before my apologies but a search didn't indicate anything. If I put a full or nearly (96%) load of passengers on board a 737NG 600 and a small amount of cargo with 100% fuel the FS fuel and payload facility tells me the aircraft is several thousand pounds over the max gross weight. Has anyone else found this? The 700, 800 and 900 all seem ok on this.I've found that the only way to avoid getting the message is to increase the max gross weight figure in the aircraft.cfg file (which incidentally has no effect on the figure in the PMDG load manager! :D )Would welcome any comments. ThanksIain Smith

Hi,tonight I was missing my (red and green) navigation lights. They are missing in all the pmdg 737 ng models. All the other lights work fine and in other aircraft models the navlights show up. Turning up "hardware rendered lights" doesn't have any influence. Anybody an idea what to do?Herman

While shutdown on the ground, will engines windmill according to the intensity of the wind? If so will there be an indication on the EICAS to this effect? Oh and also will we be able to hear the blades moving in the blade roots as a result.pAnmAn

Hello everyone,My problem is that basically when i change views in the 2D Cockpit, or change to Spot Plane view, TWR etc, at for example the default FS2004 Seatle (KSEA) scenery all the textures of the VC, gnd textures, tree textures, cloud textures, everything, go blury, it stutters before they go blury and then all the textures go blury, almost like its too much work to load all the textures. I have nearly all the sliders on full and havent had this problem before. What do you think? I have a few ideas: My graphics card is too old to cope with my systems demand (My graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4200 64MB, and the rest of my system is very up to date)? Some settin…

hello, when I fly a single channel approach and want to cut of the approach I switch off the auto-pilot and give full power. But when I put the auto-pilot back on with a new altitude setting, the single channel approach continues. This is very frustrating. What am i doing wrong. How do you get rid of the single channel approach sign, what's the right procedure.thanks,Sander

That the PMDG 747 will meet the high demands from users, using the Aerowinx Precision Simulator. An outstanding system simulation. A complex integration of systems, which are dependant on each other. More accurate than any other MSFS addon. And capable for computer based training purposes. An accurate flight model, which performs extremly close to real world specifications.Am I being realistic here? Thanks

I normally have Sids and Stars in my flight plan which I create with FSBuild. With the computer on autopilot it follows the plan route and flies the Sids and Stars in the route. How can I fly a Sid or Star route manually, as will be required if I was flying on line on VATSIM for example. The Controller will give a command to fly vector xxx to a particular point and then etc.I have the PMDG NG737 600/700 which only has one Vor ADF instrument. Can anyone explain how to use this instrument to fly a SID or STAR.In other words to fly to a VOR manually? Is there a tutorial that will show me using the PMDG instrument or one very similar to it?Thanks.Stanner

Hi,I am getting a spurious "Low Fuel" warning from MSFS. The actual message is more like "Fuel in the selected tank is critically low. To correct this error, do X, Y & Z...In fact, both main tanks are full & there is approx 4000 Kg (8800lb) in the centre tank. All 6 fuel pumps are on & there are no failures or warning lights.Fuel is more than sufficient for the flight, arriving with approx 5000 Kg (11,000lb) remaining - yes, it's a tankering sector :-) This is very close to that forecast by the FMC before departure & during flight.I seem to be able to supress this warning by checking the "Unlimited Fuel" option in the aircraft realism settings, but am curi…
