Hey, I'm new here (but not to PMDG Planes)and I was wondering if you were going to update the 737-6/7/8/900 series with flexing wings and without the "eyebrows" Also, I am looking forward to your 747!

Hi all,First of all, I would like to congratulate the PMDG crew in reaching the ultimate add-on for MSFS, altough the Queen isn't released yet, from what I've seen....THIS BIRD WILL ROCK!! :-jumpyBut.....I've got a question (AGAIN!!???, yes again :-bigangel)I know, that when a 747 takes off with it's taxi-lights on, the lights will go off once the bird get's airborne. Same goes for the Runway Turnoff lights, and some other systems.Does this system, called the Air-Ground sensing mode, work?Thanks in advance!!Michael Henke

Not that I dislike these forums nor that I'm disturbed by PMDG being on AVSim Forums, I just wondered if there were any plans to switch to a separate, independent forum, like Level-D did, after you release the 744?

Hello,I'm not one who likes to bother the forum with numerous questions, but I was really curious whether the PMDG 744 has support for fix's in the FMC. Much like you can see them enter on the Virgin ITVV DVD (which is amazing and has me drooling for the PMDG 744).I won't be crying if it doesn't, but I'm just curious :)Many thanks!

My system crashed, ok that can happen to anybody, so i reinstalled MSFS did the upgrade and installed the 1.3 version of the 737, then the 800-900 upgrade (seperate) and finished. Ok so far but now after starting with flightsim my instruments (Gauges) are all dark. and i cant get them to work. Again used the removaltool and installed all again. Again no go.So anybody what am i doing wrong:System p4 2.8ht, ATI 9800Pro 128MB and 1 GB ram. Hi!In the PMDG NG B737`s VC-mode there is a black screen displayed below the digital engine gauges. Is it possible to turn this on?

Guys,I've tried a search for this but couldn't find an answer. I flew my first VC flight last night and couldn't get anything to appear on the lower EICAS panel. Someone suggested clicking on the ENG/SYS switch but I can't find this switch. I did try in 2D mode (having tried VC I think I'd rather stick to 2D - found it too difficult to see some of the panels at the right angle !) but it was blank there as well - anyone help please ?

Hey guys and gals. I just want to share my wonderfull experience in the full motion 737 NG simulator I had yesterday!All I can say is WOW!!!!! What an adrenaline rush when you sit behid the controls of this bird! Well, first of all, thanks to wonderful product form PMDG, I felt "right at home". What a great feeling when (almost) everything looks familiar and you know what to do, you go through the checklists, set up the overhead, FMC, flight instruments, etc.!I must say, _THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE_ from the PMDG bird (or any PC-based flight simulation for that matter) is the physics of the flight and the feeling. Hi guys,The -400 looks fantastic ! Cant wait for its release ! I have a quick question though. Is the 400 going to have any means of exitting the aircraft whilst not at a gate ? (ie. Will there be a staircase, etc.) Its great to see all the Cargo doors and Passenger exits open, but not very safe if the doors can open and the passengers have to jump a few stories down to the ground ;)Mark

I was scanning through the 2D-C pictures of the upcoming PMDG-744.I really like the night look of the cockpit.Anyway, what really keeps me wondering everytime I see a "At-the-gate-full-cockpit-to-outside-views" is why the building, close to the cockpit, is so increadably unsharp!!FS-4 used to have lines and clours. Not precise but extreemly sharp!!So really this is off-topic? Hello PMDG, Did you guys went to Blackpool as your website stated last week? Are you planning on posting first impressions from the people at the convention regarding the upcoming Queen of the skies? Just curious on finding out the opinion of the rest of the sim community who was present since I did not have any MULA to go all the way there. Well, this is very strange. Hot spots on the COM and NAV for the radios are no longer present, therefore I cannot change them. I can do a ".com1 000.00" to change the frequency in Squawkbox, but there's no such option for altering the NAV frequencies.What gives? This just suddenly 'happened' with no other issues! Anyone else had this problem? A reinstall didn't help. Is this a panel.cfg problem, and if so, what's the most straight-forward way to fix it?Thanks in advance.Mark HiscockVirtual Continental

Hi guys,One thing that took me time with the 737 was the whole startup process, i know that their is a learning curve but to be honest I read the manual many times and what really helped was a tutorial made from a 3rd party. From cold and dark startup to engine shutdown everything was written step by step. It was more of a tutorial and example of a flight. Of course the manual made everything in the tutorial make sense.I would like to have a tutorial for the 747, chances are since my knowledge has increased i'll understand the systems better with the practice of the 737, but the 747 is different in amny ways from what i read.So can i assume that most of the startup steps …

Hi all,I've got another question, I've looked in the forum for my answer, but I couldn't find it. If it's there, could somebody give me the link?Question: Will the 744 use the same type of AIRAC and SID/STAR format as the 737? So can you immediatly use all of your 737NG SID/STAR Files and your latest AIRAC on the 747, or are the files used by the FMC different?Thanks in advance!Michael Henke

Hi there:-wave We have seen loads of screenies from PMDG and they're absolutely awesome:-hah But we haven't heard how beta testing is going. I think the product has been in testing for approximately 6 weeks now and i though it would be great for a current status update on how it's all going;) I know the team are remaining tight lipped about release dates but i don't think a guestimate would hurt, would it;-) Come on Mr Randazzo sir! I have searched the formum but haven't seen this as yet. Will the flight plan '.rte' format be the same as the NG format? Just wondering if there will be new utilities to convert the 747-400 format to others and vice a versa. In order to avoid confusion for those in the general public who do not really read the question, I am not refering to actual FMC data input. But to the rte file which is produced when the flight plan is saved.Thanks in advance,Paul

I just started using a program called FSpassengers it just came out yesterday and i must say that the program is great they have a demo version that you can use it records everything about your flight and saves it on a log which i think you can send out to the VA that you might be flying everyone should check it out here is the linkhttp://www.fspassengers.com/

I, flew in from Sweden to IFC in Blackpool UK. Only for once in my life meet people like me... enjoying the flight sim world. Right at breakfast i logged in to PMDG site just to get an update and to my joy i saw that PMDG was attending IFC. Once there i ran around like crazy finding em, they where nowhere to be found but soon enough i got my eyes on Lefteris busy seting his system up in Aeosofts stand... I'm sorry if this subject has been brought up before, but i wanted to know if the 747-400 FMC will have more capabilities than the NG one did. I know it will have the IRS system operational, but will features such as cost indexing and step changes work with this model. Also what about ACARS, will there be more functionality to this or will it remain the same just showing event times?Finally with this being my first post and not being able to keep my excitement quite any longer i just want to say to the PMDG team that this project just looks amazing!
