Yesterday I did a flight from KMIA to EGLL and found an anomoly when entering the waypoints for the NAT track.All the co-ordinates entered correctly except that when I entered N55W040 the FMC changed it to N54W039.I have just rebooted and restarted and got the same.To replicate:Start the 747 at Seattle.Open FMC.Enter KSEA as Start and EGLL as destination.Goto legs page and enter N55W040 in the legs page. On my unit it changes to N54W039.Also, I can't enter these waypoints on the route page. I note that this is the same with the PSS unit. Is this normal? There are alot of pilots that would really like to see the BA World Cargo Chelsea Rose paint. Please. Yes im aware that they are Global Supply now, bought from Atlas and still doing BA's contract work. I know for a fact there is a large demand for this as you already have the Global paint done.

Greetings all,IIRC a while back Capt. Randazzo described part of a "round the world" trip he was flying with the QOTS. At the time I was on the final legs of a similar trip, going east-bound from EDDF with a goal of ending at my home airport of KMHT. The goal was simply to get some seat time (familiarity) in the Queen and to visit parts of the FS9 world I hadn't seen. I made no attempt to create realistic (RL carrier) flight plans, rather to plan legs that could be comfortably flown and would visit interesting places. When I am trying to land after a great flight, I have began to experience a horrible noise just before touchdown. This noise will interupt the autolanding causing the approach mode to disengage and the localizer light to come on. Needless to say the smooth landing turns into a crash. I have tried re-installing the software, but the same thing keeps happening. I am at my whit's end on this one. Anyone? Any help? Thanks.Gelowims

Happy New Year Everyone~I was wondering If PMDG Team is going to add Korean Air Cargo 747-400F in your livery list.Korean Air Cargo has won Best Cargo Airliner in 2005.So many S. I've got the official Fedex 737 Winglets repaint and was wonderingif the large Cargo door does open. If so how? I already have the cargo gauge installed but all it does is openthe rear left and 2 lower cargo doors on the right.Thanks

I want to create the most realistic hold but I'm not sure about some of the things and need some professional help.Below is an example of a hold at BIGGIN (BIG) at Heathrow I've input the hold and correct me but of INBD CRS/DIR would be 123/R. I've tinkered around with the colour settings in the 747-400 with the PMDG options menu, and when I set the colours back to default I get white on the FMC instead of the "FMC green".I tried renaming 747400gauges.ini to see if the file would be autogenerated, but I got 737 style NDs and I restored the file.Now, could anyone tell me the default colours settings?

Using FS Build v2.2, I built a flightplan from EINN to EGLL (flight time of about 50 mins in a 744) and exported it as an MS Flight Planner file and a PMDG FMC file.Anyways, I loaded the plane in Flight Planner, entered "EINNEGLL" into co-route on the FMC and it seemed to load the route okay. I took off, engaged the A/P and it followed all the waypoints and took me to the right destination as it should. But the problem was that it never descended when I was approaching my destination and I was still at my cruise altitude of FL270 when I was over the airport.I set the altitude dial to 0 well in advance to "allow" the 744 FMC to descend at the correct time, so that's not th…

HelloI have a problem wiht the 747 FMC. It does follow the active flight plan using the autopilot corretly set with lnav etc. but after passing the 1rst waypoint the FMC does not switch the 2nd waypoint,increasing the distance fron the first waypoint.Please help.Best regards and happy new year !ECONINO

Hello,** Touchdown/Landing **The AT system will not automatically retard throttles during manual (AP disengaged) or non-ILS landings.The question is, during manual or non-ILS landings with AT armed and SPD mode active, Why the AT SPD mode remain on after touchdown? Do real pilots have to press the AT disconnect button just right after touchdown? What is the correct procedure? Is the 747 different from the 737/767 in this case?Thanks,Regards,Sergio

I believe these series of questions can actually help, not only me, but other PMDG744 flight simmers, as well:(1) Why is it that some routes that are automatically generated by MSFS are not valid in the FMC's database? Such as the KSEA-PANC route that is automatically generated by MSFS... Routes, NOT Waypoints: TR19, J804R for example can't be entered. (2) During instant re-play (I use Active Camera) why is it that all of the aircraft's EICAS system enunciation's go off including the TCAS system for no apparent reason.... Just when re-playing a video. Also, when press escape, to return to the aircraft position I was previously at MSFS enunciates "CRASH" and I have to end …

Granted I am as dumb as a sack of rocks, but that aside I need help with the FMC...I seem to be able to muddle through loading a flight plan but the airplane does not do what is in the flight plan...how does the FMC communicate with the aircraft to tell it where it needs to go? Autopilot on? VNAV selected? RNAV selected? In the real world I am a single engine land private pilot and have had very little (none) experience with such technicalities....I have tried reading the manual until I am a lightly colored blue in the face but I am just not getting it apparently....if anyone can steer me in the right direction (pun intended) I would greatly appreciate it....thank you

I'm real excited about the info. and pics of the freighter version of the 747. I'm just not so excited about the pax version of the 747, is the freighter version only going to be offered as an upgrade to the pax version, or will we be able to buy just the freighter version?Dumb question I know, but I thought I'd ask.

Hi,One quick question, having never sat in a 747-400 cockpit I wondered which is the best eye point to use. I had to use the fuel dump facility the other day and wondered if i was leaving a trail of fuel in the sky so quickly went to spot view.Well nothing :-lol I was just wondering if it would be possible for a simple effect to be created so you could see it leaving the wings.Very cool facility all the same!James

I see a TCAS switch on the overhead.. is TCAS available on the 600/700, or is this just a default panel shared with the 800/900 that has TCAS available.
