PMDG General Forum

So I've had this thing a few weeks now and after installing the latest patch I've had a few issues that went away. Now a new one has come up. With any or all engines started, I can't get the generators to turn on. This has only happened since I installed the newest patch. The generator drives won't connect either. They are all pushed in and turned "on" but there is still the amber warning on each switch. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.-Ryan

I have a very strange problem here with the 747. I tried making a flight from LIRF to EDDF. First waypoint would be BOL and the next IXUSI. When programming the FMC I can add "BOL", but the same moment I hit "I" (starting to type IXUSI) I end up outside the plane. I can see the cockpit, and the nose of my plane. Everything runs, but I can't change views at all. I used my keyboard to try this, and it happens again and again if I do this.My own little "solution" to the problem was to go to VITER and then DENAL instead of BOL and IXUSI and then continue on to the other waypoints.And just to make sure: I have a fully legal copy!!! Hi,Anyone else using FsPassengers with B1900 in here? I have a problem where I can't choose between the 2D and the VC models since FsPassengers belives that are two different aircrafts and hence forces me to buy the same a/c twice to be able to shift between the 2D and the VC model.Anyone with the same problem or even better a solution to it? Would very much appreciate any help!

There was a series of posts on the PMDG Forum while it was over at their site on improved Engine Sounds. It had text to paste into config file and the names of sounds sets to get from AVSIM Library. There were three of the posts, one for each engine type.I had to reinstall Windows XP after a a serious problem (hardisk) and I have got everything back to where I had it except for a few little things. I would like to ge these sound setups going again. Is the post here and I can't find it?Or can someone send me a copy of the post?Or can someone repost?Thanks Dennis [email protected]

This may be very silly, but still...I've been messing with the mixture control of my B1900C engine and accidently cut the fuel to the left engine. The torque went to zero, but the RPM stayed high and the prop animation continued. Is this normal? I had to restart the engine to get torque up again.Amit

I see on the homepage that the MD-11 is upcoming, any idea when we can expect that? Also what other planes do you plan to release in the future? It would be great to see a top quality 757 or A340.Anyway, keep up the good work!

Hello, I have an issue where the capt. PFD/ND in the VC freezes, usually on approach. The standby instruments do not freeze nor does anything else. The last time this happened was on approach to KDTW, I was at 3000 and inbound to intercept the localizer for 04R. Just as the a/c started to turn right to intercept the displays froze. The autopilot held the a/c in a 15 degree right bank and began to climb. I disconnected the ap and a few seconds after leveling off the displays returned to normal. The entire incident was approx 25-30 seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks, Steve Marsh

Hi all,Is it possible to assign all the different light commands of the Queen to joystick or GoFlight buttons?By that I mean the seperate taxi beacon strobe nav logo lights?Maybe there are special keystroke combinations ?If possible then maybe how?Little explanation maybe;I'm not so savvy you see.Regards...Marc G

Whilst I realise that both GS and TAS are functions of the prevailing winds and Altitude respectively. I have noticed that neither seem to indicate unless or until a prevailing wind is sensed.So in still air conditions when airborne I get no GS or TAS indication. Is this me ? Trying to reinstall PMDG 747 queen of the skies I get " can not continue installation flight simulator is not installed. I have it installed on my D drive and have 737-600-700 installed there.Rich

I bought the pmdg 737 600/700 version and installed it as soon as I did it. I opened flight simulator 2004 and it said FSUIPC has a problem the build is 9.01.40901 and should be 9.00.30612 it says the program will be disabled and you may run flight simulator 2004 when I click ok the program shuts off I have tried many times to get it working please help :(

I just got the PMDG 737 a few days ago and I have to say its brilliant, I am very happy with it. But now I am trying to make my first full flight with the flight tutorial after messing around with the plane after a few days. I am having problems with the panel, when I hover my cursor over a button or switch, the cursor flickers a lot, and this stops me from using the help text to identify the switch, it is also gettting quite annoying, how do I fix it?I have another problem with the FMC. I can't seem to get my SIDS for my chosen journey. I entered KDEN into the origin airport section, but when I do, i recieve an error within the FMC screen. So I try to press clear and ent…

Hey guys.I am not extremly caught up on the 744 material, but I have owned it for a while and I understand most of the key components that are needed for a goood flight :DFor the first time I started using the load manager to give me some correct loads. Then I started up the plane (ready to go, not cold and dark) and got underway. Departed and let RC4 control the comms from then on. I glanced at my screen while watchign TV and noticed 3 contrails, rather then 4. Then 2 contrails.
