I just purchased the 737NG and read in the manual and web site that PMDG is planning to update the 737NG/600/700 with an IRS. Since this product has been on the market for a while without the update having been initiated by PMDG I just wondered if the developers still planned to do this? It would be nice if it happened.Thanks,Irv

I just now received a Christmas gift from my son for the PMDG747-400 from Aerosoft North America Ltd. and was wandering if the latest changes to the software will be incorporated in this CD version that I UPS just delivered? I've been reading about all the updates and was just curious if I have to download any changes to it or just load it up and let er rip!!!Regards,noullet

I am still in my testing and familiarization phase with the Queen and hand flying quite a bit. I am experimenting with derated t/o and climbouts. I find that using the FMC to enter PERF INIT data and the THR LIM page for setting power, although I can depart normally and also with assumed temp, doing a TO1 or TO2 at light weights, when the time comes for climb thrust and I hit THR on the MCP, I always get CLB power. I never get CLB 1 or CLB 2 power even if I have selected such settings with the relevant LSK right clicks. As a result, the N1 will surge from, say, TO1 or TO2 to full CLB power which is not what I want.Does CLB1 or CLB2 only work when VNAV is engaged and a…

All, Just trying to help and post what got it working for me. I have been flying error free for days on a vanilla build of FS.1. Uninstall the 744 completely. Erase all 4 gauge files and the PMDGOptions.dll2.reboot3.Install V1.0 and reboot. Load FS and ensure the 744 loads properly.4. Exit FS5. Install INTERIM UPDATE, NOT V1.16. reboot7. Load FS and verify interim update works8. Exit FS.9. Delete PMDGOptions.Dll and all 4 PMDG 744 gauges10. Install V1.111. Reboot12. See if the 744 will now load without CTD. Hi there,Sorry to ask this again but how do I work out the wind component for flight planning purposes. This is mainly if I have a cross wind at the Cruise?? Maybe like working it out and taking an average? The other thing is in the 747-400 manual there is a section in the cruise and fuel planning document, the main bit i am looking for is the "Fuel required to reach planned alternate destination"I am told there is not a chart of this kind for the 737?? Can anyone point me in the direction of as much detail as possible to do the whole planning stage of the flight?What do BA use for cost index in the 737? Hi allI have stopped flying the PMDG 747 because--after installing the upgrade I get a grinding or scraping noise while I am flying the aircraft, and using Radar Contact--I really dont want to do any re-installs if I dont have to--that is like a three day job--and much good stuff is lost--we all know that--I am waiting for some patches--I love these PMDG Products--but for now the Queen is GroundedCheersDorn

This appears to be a new problem I cannot find an answer for.The problem may apply to the other PMDG 737 600-700 series as well, but I'm having the problem in particular with the 737NG 900s. Here's my issue: my PMDG 900s don't burn any fuel during flight! I start out with what the 737 fuel calculator dictates, but it never depletes. I have to manually reset the storage tank values for landing. Go figure? Anyone experience this phenomenon and have a solution? Thanks in advance for any help available.

I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly but I have made a few flights since owning the 747 and it seems that as I am approaching the threshold for landing the plane reacts violently sise to side and nose diving almost like severe wind shear or a wake vortex.These are on ILS approaches with flaps at 30 and a KIAS of ~ 156.I also noticed lastnight my flaps reseted to up during this strange event.My questions are am I too heavy with fuel (failed to look at my fuel status)for the KIAS,or am I approaching too slow for this size plane.I am using ASV,RC4 and UT.I own other heavies and have not encountered this issue b4.I the wake turbulence simulation on but the increased wake…

hi,i know this is off topic. but i feel so home in this forum... ;)when i download real world weather i will have surface winds, but no winds aloft. FS gives me a direction but the velocity is always zero. about a month ago i installed my new pc. i am not sure but i think i did have winds aloft at first back then, but like i said i am not sure. i don't clearly remember having winds aloft at all.do you guys get winds aloft with real world d/l weather these days? has anybody ever experienced that phenomena??regards

Dear All:I read that there is supposed to be a "lights check" switch on the forward panel of the 737 NG. I even have a cockpit poster of the NG showing same. Is this switch just not modeled or shown on the PMDG version? I can't seem to find one. (It tests the lights such as beacon, strobe, etc.)ThanksChris Catalano

I had to reinstall 737NG and since then I cant hold the localizer on ILS appr. I have the ILS freq set in both NAV 1 AND NAV 2.Even if I manually lign up and then switch to LOC hold it still wont stay on the loc course( and yes I do have the proper CRS hdg selected).Rich

Hi,I just bought the 737-600/700 and the -800/900 add-on a couple nights ago. The plane is really impressive and I think I am going to pick up the 747 too once I've mastered the 737.I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction or explain what I am doing wrong in programming the FMC. As an example, tonight I flew from Logan Int'l to Kennedy Int'l. I flew the ENE4 arrival, so I took off from KBOS, flew northwest to enter the arrival. ENE4 terminates at the JFK VOR. I was able to program in the slowdowns/descents along the arrival (250/12000 at CCC and then 9000 at ROBER. This brings you in at 276 degrees over JFK.The problem I'm having is I wanted to fly…

Good morning Captains, PMDG Staff and anybody else:-)just enroute from EDDT to LEMD at FL370 using real world weather/winds aloft (GetWeather 3.0) in FS2002, i had to realize some strange effects that i did several times ago:the altimeter jumps(!) - not moves - several hundreds of feet up/down as well as the speedtape, VNAV of course is lost. but the ND doesn't show any changes of windspeed/direction. So i thought there might by some turbulences/jetstreams and decided to change from FL370 to FL240 and restart VNAV after changing the CRZ ALT in FMC.But the story continues:-) Taking a close look at the ND i could see that obviously the weather information is lost for a few …
