Hello all,I am having some problems with the PMDG 747-400 at the moment. One thing that i have noticed is that the radio panel looks "dead", literally, none of the displays show so its hard to enter the squawk code and radio frequencies.Another problem that sometimes occurs is when i am flying and suddenly the screen flickers with fs2004 and pmdg 747 normally cruising and it starts acting really strange (barrel rolling) really slowly and then the graphics going really awful like in safe mode.Really want to try and fix these problems if possible. Ive spoken to Mesh Computers and they seem to think it might be a hardware failure on the graphics card. Im reluctant to send it…

When FS10 comes out next year, will it be possible to still fly the Queen? Perhaps they would introduce an FS10 version with more features i.e wing views or lower cabin but with a price tag. I wouldn't mind paying. I know it's still a fare way off, but I'm headed overseas in about six weeks for 12 months and by the time I'm able to do some flight simming again FS10 would probably be realeased. Thats why I'm uninstalling all my add-ons before I leave so I can register overseas if I need to. CheersTristan

Have downloaded mega. frankfurt i have tried several times to do an ils landing R27. Have the latest aric and sid stars it will not capture the glidescope.I have done a lot of landings with the 800 so am familiar with procedures .Any body else have a problem with this airport EHAM.............robin

Hello everyone, I could not find a useful previous post regarding this topic. Take a look at the picture of the PMDG 737-600. Like if I am at FL180 on the PFD in would say 8000.....fonts too big to show the 1 in 18000. And on the FMC words a crunched together as well. I operate the PMDG744 as well and it does the same. I was flying in somewhat windy weather from SFO to LAX tonight, climbing to 30,000ft in VNAV and LNAV, changed the altitude indicator on the MCP from 33k to 37k, pressed the button on the knob, and suddenly the aircraft started climbing, all the way up to 9k feet a second! the speed dropped but it finally came back down to normal climbing rate.Did I just do something wrong or is this a known issue?

I understand that you all are not planning to do an update to the 737. Im curious what it would take for you to make the VC gauges as smooth as the Queen? Would you have to re program the entire VC gauges? Thanks for the info.BrianCYOW

PMDG manual states the the WINDS page is for interactive reference only. However the FMC displays different calculations for remaining fuel at destination dependent on if I enter the winds aloft data. Does anyone know if FMC in the 747 is actually taking enroute winds data into it's fuel calculations?Note: I am using the same weather profile in both instances as well as the same date and time.hankaaron.

Let me start by saying I am totally happy with the 744 in its current state. Brilliant aircraft, very stable and bug-free on my machine.However it would be interesting to get a run down from PMDG on:-Remaining fixes to be implemented-Remaining additional functionality (say a TOGA screw on the VC MCP!)This is distinct from the new features we'll be seeing in the 744 Freighter. I'm specifically referring to last little tidy-up jobs on the 744 Pax version.A list of these things would allow people who have issues to CHECK to see if they are known or not.Just a thought!Cheers

I had the same loss of altitude as reported in various other POST. The 747-400 would begin to stall during cruise on westbound flights. The stalls occurred as the aircraft attempted to retain altitude by increasing the degree of nose up attitude.I found that verifying the the CG Trim in the FMC prevents the stalls from occurring. The CG (Center of Gravity) is listed right under the takeoff refs. See if this helps...Aaron Morris.

Ok, I have been playing with PMDG aircraft for sometime and finally got around to posting this. There is this noise, a constant clicking. It is very fast and does not stop... ever. When I press alt to bring up the file menu etc, it is still going. I believe it still is goin when paused, and it is definatly still going in a cold and dark 744 at the ramp ??!!!This is non existant in other aircraft. It seems to be a backround noise, but I cannot eliminate it!any ideas?thanksdan h

Dear All,When trying to run the sim, pmdg 747, downloaded a week ago, assuming the latest version, the primary displays are all black, switched off. If selected during a flight, it is on for a minute, then off after that.Went through several tutorials, but the screens never turn on again !Any help is apprecited.Regards,

Can anyone explain simply how to do an autoland in the 747, well how to input the course and ILS freq - when i went to tune it in the FMC at the ILS bit, it says park and i couldnt input 110.10 or delete the park bit, and at the CRS bit i couldnt tune course 054, can anyone help me?

It's the first time I write here and first of all I want to congratulate to the PMDG Team for the Excellents Job They did with the 747-400 Queen Of The Skies!!!!!I'm posting here because I've 3 small questions and i'm not sure if it's a simulation problem (unlikely) or my fault!!1) TO INTERCEPT A RADIAL (VOR): I set the frequency and the course on the FMC, and (while in HDG HOLD mode)I set LOC on the MCP.Then I see the radial moving from side to side on the VOR PAGE (ND)but the autopilot never captures it2) Abort T/Off: Brakes RTO, Power to 70%, then I press TOGA, THRUST REF then HOLD on the PFD, at 100Kt I move the Throttle back to idle but the brakes don'…

I have just finished and uploaded two queens to AVSIM library. They'll be ready for download soon. Well, I know there are some Korean Air & Asiana liveries for 744 are out there, yet none of them met my expectations. Hello, I am not usually one to complain and in many respects you'd be wrong to interpret this as another complaint, it isn't really. However, I am tired of crashes or this going wrong or that going wrong. I simply want to take off, enjoy the flight, land etc without the dreaded fear of that sudden crash.Since installing the PMDG update I have had nothing but trouble. Please can someone tell me why I get the following crash when running the PMDG 747(please see attachmnet for a JPG image of the error message)

This interim release addresses the issue of incorrect break down of wind vectors causing incorrect and mismatching FMC headwind readings for the current wind vector. This started with version 3.51. It is available via a link on the FSUIPC support forum under the topic Interim Releases:http://forums.simflight.com/viewforum.php?f=54at the first pinned topic.For those using Radar Contact this also fixes some off-course issues resulting in ATC warnings.As usual, back up your current FSUIPC.dll with a safe copy. This is the only file included in this update and should not affect your .ini or registration.

hi!first of all, the plane is just great. actually, I didn't have any problems with it without SU 1.1, everything was working fine.but now, with SU 1.1, fs9 always freezes when it tries to load the panel (by the way, the loading time was very long). the screen goes black, and the Microsoft window asks me if I'd like to restart fs and to send a problem report. you can click there on details, and it shows you some files which might be the reason. in my case, in the list there were 3 files if I remember correctly, one of them was the PMDG747_Main.gau (not sure if it's correct, I've deleted the Queen since the issue came first).Of course, I tried to re-install it completely (…
