Contrarily to what I have writen on a thread down this message board I have made several tests with the 1.10 version of QOS and indeed it takes the autoland logic (including engine-out scenarios) in an impecable way. It's perfect, and it only fails when the aircraft touches the rw and is subject to MSFS's internal sh*** regarding sideways friction scalars in SIM1.DLL.A few months ago I (I believe, most of us...) played around with hexa editing of that file, and while we can get acceptable results with rolling friction, sideways friction modifications tend to cause CTDs.I am really (although being an unconditional PS1 supporter and user...) very well impressed with this an…

Well I finally give up. I have had minor problems since the 'update' but now the plane doesn't do half what it is supposed to do. There has been no changes made to my system and no addons. IF THERE IS SO MANY PEOPLE WITH SO MANY PROBLEMS THEN PERHAPS THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CODE. I really don't think we should have to uninstall and reinstall and follow a series of steps to make the software run the way it did originally with some 'enhancements.'I am getting overspeeds with exactly the same flightplan I have used before. Vnav doesn't work. Lnav and APP ignored the airport totally. The plane stalled with A/T on and speed set above Vref for landing.I will fly the…

Dear All, good day.I could not find this using forum's search function, but I recall that somewhere I've seen someone posting about this. After installing 1.1 the Queen's battery sound in the cockpit does not react on changing volume or unchecking 'ambient cockpit battery sound' checkbox in the PMDG menu. It is still audible whether the box is checked or not and the volume cannot be controlled.I have latest version of 1.1 patch and I've uninstalled everything and installed the Queen from scratch. If anyone encountered similar problem, please advise whether it's a bug or am I doing something wrong. (FSUIPC is 3.50, registered, volume control worked before 1.1)Thank you very …

Apologies if this has been covered previously.I searched the forum and tried finding a reference in the manual.I must have missed something, but when I taxi out using the rudder keys, then centre the rudder to straighten out, SPOT view shows the nosewheel still turned to one side. Ie., the rudder centres but the nosewheel doesn't.I have a feeling this is going to be a DOH! situation, but I 'm asking anyway.:-hahThanks.

Ciao to all,I've made the BPA livery for the PMDG 737 series,All work fine...the only thing is that I get to see the lights in the cabin "on" only if i switch on the "LANDIG LIGHTS" on the overhead pannel...WHY..????I must say that I had to move a window and erase one from both the FUSE.bmp that are in the texture folder of the PMDG 737...PAco

Hi guys,From recent discussions I am aware that the aircraft needs to perform an autoland once every 30 days for certification requirements. What other features of the aircraft must be operated at least once every to meet certification requirements?Would be cool to have a list of things that I can then schedule for testing. Also, how frequently do pilots attend simulator refreshers? How long do they generally last and what procedures are generally practiced on these flights?CheersMark

HiI have searched though the forum and come accross a couple of instances where my query was raised previously but I was hoping someone might be able to update me on the latest advice re a solution.I absolutely love the PMDG 744 and it is now firmly established as my aircaft of choice however whenever I attempt a long haul route - usually, but not always over an ocean - 1/3 to 1/2 way through the flight the aircraft will start to gradually bleed airspeed. After a short while when the IAS has reduced below something like 190 knots I start losing altitude and then get into an almost irrecoverable nose high attitude.I am using ASVE and having looked on their forum have unc…

Hi chaps, Might sound like a dumb question, but, when flying the 747 i used to have a little plane appear while flying on AP and selecting plan mode on the MCP. The 737 is fine. After all the updates, i now dont have that. IS this accurate or is this a bug requiring some remedy?Any help appreciated guysThanksDoug

Hi Firstly, many congrats on an awesome product. I have seen the Queen on a work mates PC and bought it myself. Regretably I have run into a problem with the installer. My situation is that I have 2 installations of FSCOF on my PC; one is setup to fly golden wings back in the 1930'sThe other is the main installation that I fly current timeframe aircraft. As per the instructions, I change the instal path from C:program filesfs9 etc etc (golden wings)To.. d:fs9 ( current time)However, as the install engine fires up it installs to the c drive.I have uninstalled, then reinstalled to double check I had altered the path on my first attempt. This second install also went str…

Hi everyone, I need some help (again haha). yesterday I was on finals with the 744 PW, at 500 feet I disconnected AP via the white switch, and AT via the small switch on the MCP. I landed, spoilers deployed, but I could not apply reverse thrust, it woul engage for less than a second, and idle again, so I had to come to a stop just with the brakes. Again, what am I doing wrong? :DJavier Alfonso

I have a easy question, that I never knew the answer to...When someone says "landing should be 3 degrees pitch with flap xx." Or "takeoff should be x degrees pitch". Where do I see the degree of the nose in the flight deck? I have never known this and am curious. Thanks!Brad

Hi everyone!Very happy with the 737NG in general, but flying online yesterday I noticed a strange thing (which is maybe! correct...don't know)...I was cleared for a high-speed descend with restriction of 240kts at FL100 as usual. Descending in VNAV PTH from FL330, only slight winds, speed is close to the target of ~300kts.Because being cleared for high-speed, I engage SPD intervention and set SPD to the current 300kts.Now, approaching FL110, the window goes blank and speed cursor down to 240kts, I re-select SPD-intervention (think now in VNAV SPD-mode) and still, the window goes blank again and speed cursor down to 240kts.Is this real behaviour? I thought with SPD-interve…

I've been flying the 737 and seem to remember a sound when the A/T was disconnected. Is there not a sound for this switch getting turned off or not? I don't have an A/T disco sound, just AP.

Hi,I got my TrackIR3 just 3 or 4 days before the TrackIR4 was officially announced by eDimensional Inc., bad luck.My question: is there anybody that compared both products (TrackIR3 vs TrackIR4) and can tell me if it is worth to upgrade to the TrackIR4? The factsheet-comparison on eDimensional was not that convincing.Right now I use the TRACKIR 3 PRO with VectorExpansion and reflective Trackhat...of cause for flying the 744.greets,Volker

I understand that if I change the altitude on the MCP while in VNAV cruise, the plane will start it's descent to the new altitude at the TOD.However...Since I'm using FS ATC, they usually start my descent 50 miles before TOD. What I do now is dial the new altitude in the MCP, and click the center of the ALT knob to start the VNAV descent. What I'm finding is that the engines retard quickly, and when the 747 starts it's descent, it begins very steeply to makeup for the speed it's trying to catch up to (like FLCHG).What's the proper procedure to initiate a VNAV descent when starting before the TOD?Thanks in advance,John

Hello all,Awahile back I just purchased the PMDG B1900D and have been flying it for a while now. I am a virtual cockpit user and I was really upset when I couldn't turn off the panel lights in the virtual cockpit. I can turn the panel lights on and off in the 2D cockpit, but the panel lights switch has no effect in the virtual cockpit. This is the only thing that I dislike about this product. The panel lighting is an ugly bluish light which really distracts from the view out of the windows. It's like trying to look out the window at night from a brightly lit room. Is there anyone out there who has this product who is experiencing this problem? If so, did you solve it and…

Does anyone have or can anyone let me know where I can obtain the so called correct procedures to follow when doing a GA in the Queen..?I've checked the manuels and so far I can only find info on the screw button, N1 thrust etc, but nothing on what to do step by step and keeping it as real as we can!Previous info in the forum appears a little grey and foggy.I'm now progressing to really testing myself and my skills with the Queen, but when I tried my 1st GA all #### broke loose and I headed almost vertical in pitch until the stick-shacker sounded and I had to revert to a manuel recovery, go-around and land.Any help from you lot of talented flyers would be great..?Regards.…
