I really don't know how I would have managed to sort out all my problems and questions without this forun.May I humbly suggest however, that the forum be split by aircraft type.I really have to look very carefully to see if the post relates to the 747-400 or to the 737, and as the forum grows, this will become even more confusung.Just a suggestion.

How do you set trim, apply speedbrakes and arm speedbrakes for landing in the 744 without using the keyboard? What I mean is, I know the keyboard shortcuts but I want to actual flick a switch in the throttle panel or wherever these controls are just like a real pilot would. Thanks in advance, JTH :)

Sorry if this has been posted before but after a seach here I couldn't find anything on it.Could the animated winglets from the update have anything to do with the fact that no matter what model I use now has no Nav lights on the wing tips?Love the idea of deleteing them for use as a Domestic 744 but I would also like to see the nav lights working aswell.Currently on a flight from EDDF-WSSS somewhere over the Ukraine in total darkness and only strobes, beacon and logo light to guide the way. LOLGreat work on the update guys and I hope I'm not being too picky on details. This is the only problem I've had so far apart from my own stupidity.

Hello,after reading many threads here in the PMDG support forum that say the 747 should perform even better and should deliver a better framerate than the 737NG, I now ask myself why I can't say this for my setup. I compared the fps both planes deliver in exactly the same situation. I created a flight with the C172, loaded that flight, loaded the 747, turned on battery and stdby power to auto, watched the fps, shut down FS, started FS again, loaded that flight again, this time I loaded the 737, turned on battery and stdby power to auto and again watchted the fps counter.I have my FS configured with the extended FPS-Counter so that it shows lowest, highest and average FPS.…

Hi!I have a FMC Problem. While flying with programmed FMC route, the autopilot follows till the next routepoint so far so good. then the FMC doesn't switch over to the next route point. all the autopilot does is turning wild left an right without any sense. FSUIPC is the actual version. This problem occurs only with the PMDG747, the 737 works fine! I have reinstalled the 747 it didnt solve the problem. Does anyone else have had the same Problem?Sasi :()

I recently got the Virgin Air 744 DVD so tried to simulate the same trip with the PMDG744. Flight plan imported from the newly acquired FSBuild (nice tool).It was amazing to be able to fly the 744 on the computer, just like the real thing. FS9 ATC vectored me east of KSFO for landing on 28L (not via golden4) but it was really awsome. TCAS going off with all the traffic around the bay area is neat. Step climbing and seeing traffic fly by with contrails is something to be hold, especially with TrackIR with 6DoF.I started this hobby with the original BAO FS and it's amazing what we are able to do now. Developers like PMDG took FS and aircraft modeling to the next level.…

I have installed the release version of the 744 plus the patch. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it again. I have messed with the sound volumes, reduced the wind sound in the sound.cfg as someone suggested but no matter what I do I have to reduce the sounds of the cockpit and engines so much that when I go to spot view the sound is the pits!In addition, half the time I get this loud static to where I can't hear any sounds anyway, get disgusted and turn the flight off. :-fumeI don't have any other problems like this with any other addons including PMDG 737s and 1900C so I don't believe it is my system.This problem is totally ruining the otherwise excellent 744 for me.…

Hi,Recently re-installed FS2004 and various add ons etc heres my problem.1) I press the overhead panel as example and the main panel disappears completely ?2) The displays are totally blank only on B737NG ie PFD,ND,EICAS.MCP ?I have got fsuipc 3.51 which isnt registered but this has never happened before know. I have just re-installed the B777 pss aircraft wheather it's that I don't know but could anybody help me please.The B747 is fine all displays are ok and show relevant info etcThanksJason Thompson

Hi Guys,I'm having a recurring problem with the 747 SP1.1 on takeoff. I've never had the same problem before the official patch, only post-patch.On seemingly random takeoff events I'll get an alarm sounding right after unstick and positive rate of climb. I don't get any warnings or advisories on any displays, just a resounding "WHOOP WHOOP WHOOP". After this there is nothing I can do to silence this mystery alarm except restart the flight.I have the FMC properly programmed with all correct Vspeeds selected and displaying, flaps and stab trim set correctly, V2+10 set on the MCP speed window, FD's on, autothrottle armed, brakes RTO, pax signs on, PACK 1 on, PACK 2 +3 …

Let me start by apologising if this has already been answered, I havn't been able to find it with a search or in the documentation.If I modify LEGS by, for example, adding a STAR, I expect to be able to STEP through the modified legs (with the ND in PLAN view) before I EXEC the change. This obviously allows me to verify the new route before it is activated.Am I missing something, or is this not implemented in the PMDG 744?ThanksJohn

(1) I have an external hard drive and recently installed FS2004 and PMDG 737-6/700 onto this device. When I load the panel the fonts are bold and bigger than they were when they were on my internal drive which I suppose is because that is where my fonts folder is located in (WINDOWS file). See attached picture: For example, you can see on the FMC perf init page that "GW/CRZ CG" and "TRIP/CRUZ ALT" are bumped together because of this. What should I do? I just purchased the 737NG and the framerates are so low that it is unplayable.My system:MSI Neo2 PlatinumAMD Athlon 3200+ 641GB Corsair PC3200 RAMNvidia 256mb 6600 AGPI installed the PMDG right after a fresh install of FS2004 along with Active Camera and FSPassengers.I've tried both the 2D and VC. All settings are at default except for resolution which is bumped up to 1280x1024(have tried 1024x768 with no change in performance).When I say unplayable I'm talking about 1 frame every 5 seconds. Switching views takes at least 3-5 seconds. Haven't been able to even taxi.My system may not be the greatest these days but it's no slouch. FS2004 runs fine normally without PMDG…

Dear PMDG Team,I am just asking out of pure interest, would it be possible to add the fantastic pushback instrumentation from the the Queen of the Skies to The Next Generation 737, in a sort of an update? Before anyone starts moaning, I am aware that the 737NG is a finished chapter at PMDG right now and I know that there are at least two different freeware options to add this feature to the 737NG. But I like the way, pushback was implemented in the 747 and would like to see it on the 737NG too.I am not a programmer so I cannot estimate the workload which would go into this but look at other programmed parts from PMDG, I consider it as a possible thing :D.Maybe there is a …

Two issues after the update and approach to MDSD with the queen.- Different ToD on ND (to close) and FMC (correct). About 6o nm difference! Forecast winds doesn't move the ToD on the ND- After save and reload scenery and panel state first a 360

PMDG let me just start with saying your software is great!i also want to ask you for a problem i get latley when entring ALL data in the fmc including flap config when i push the Vspeeds to be entered at the T/O page they just dont apear and if i try to insert them by the charts i got it wont work eiter i got some other problems as well like flap retraction form 1 to 0 at 307 kts!what heapped ? i already tried to reinstall the simulator and ther PMDG and tried to foramt the pc, after the formatting it worked for one flight and then again...also i need to mention it heappends to a few friends of mine to.thanks

Hi all many questions that i am looking for answers to please!1. When at the gate with the engines off, how much of the equipment is turned on, like lights, A/T, FD, ?? 2. How do I work out wind component, say I am cruising FL350 and the wind is directly at the side of me, as it is normally not a total headwind, this is for fuel planning purposes.3.
