When approaching some airports, I like to be able to plan ahead and assign 1 possible approach that I may be given by ATC to Route 1 in the FMS and also program in a second possible approach into Route 2 of the FMS.I like to be able to use the plan mode on the nav display and step through the legs page on the fms and check through the approaches that I have assigned to both routes 1 and 2.Unfortunately, I am finding that its not possible to step through the legs page of route 2 (secondary flight plan) even when it is the active route. using the "step" feature of the legs page only seems to work for route 1.Is this a bug or is this how it is on the real aircraft ?RegardsFe…

Hello is there anyway to correct the strange gear animation on touch down?. The wheels stay on an angle just after main gear touchdown when they are fully on the ground then quickly snap to a flat angle without any animation smoothing when the front gear touches down. Is there no way to use the XML code found in some other aircraft to smoothen the gear touchdown animation?.John.

Hello,I have bumped into this problem:I created a FSBuild 2.2 route from EHAM to LEBL.The route shows two seperate waypoints BUT on the same airway.UB31-LARASUB31-WOODYI First entered VIA-UB31 LARAS but after that I dideced to test if I could enter WOODY instead of LARAS because they are on the same airway.I deleted LARAS and a route-disc appeared on the route page.(I wanted to add the SID with the DEPP/ARR page for 36L-LEKKO2Y SID).After that I deleted the route-disc so my FMC read:DIRECT LEKKOVIA: UB31 WOODYBut from here the FMC did not accept any input with airways without any error... the changes were simply not made!(The next was: VIA: UN872 NIK) What happened here?…

Hi to everybody, I've flown the big and great 747-400 on a friend's computer and we're looking for a more compact checklist, just like that made by Boyd Barker for Dreamfleet 737-400 months ago.I've found on AVSIM several checklists but we don't like them... hoping that someone is working hard with MS Word on this!Hint for PMDG: a landing view could be much appreciated!

Having a little trouble with the PMDG 737, specifically when initialising the FMC during preflight.Firstly, not really a PMDG problem, I remember seeing numerical CoG info in FS2004. It is requested by the FMC, but I am no longer seeing the CoG info in the load manager. Does anybody have any ideas how regain the CoG ?Secondly, SIDs/STARs - I have the devils own job flight planning even simple routes, that actually join up. ok, using the charts, going from kdtw to rjaa(Detroit to Tokyo) about 5700 nm i figure that i need about 300,000lbs of fuel. That includes a little extra. when i put the route in the box it says insuffcient fuel.why?I want to know if i'm missing something before i edit the fuel_flow_scalar

Hi,Encountered 744-v1r10 VC slowdown events recently:1) start w/good FPS (2D, VC, ext)2) RJAA to KLAX (and EGLL to KSFO) trips using ASv6 3) fly at econ alt according to FMC, 4x sim rate on/off for in a while4) around Alaska, VC FPS droped to around 8, stable at 85) 2D and ext FPS still high and stable (>40)6) cut sound, windowed or full screen, VC FPS stays low7) AP/AT on/off, quit ASv6, clear weather (using FSIUPC)--no change8) save flight9) resume saved flight--VC FPS back up to normal10) no issues until landingI don't know if it's the new weather or something, but it's weird. Hi folks,I have some questions about long range pacific flights. I am trying to duplicate Qantas fligth QF12 which services YSSY from KLAX but I am running into a few problems. I am trying to use FS Build 2 to do the fuel calculations for me but it keeps providing a fuel load that is greater than the capacity of the 744. It is requesting 408603 lbs of fuel. Hi folks,yesterday I used a CI of 80 ...well I was a little bit behind my schedule so I used the speed intervention knob to bring the speed up to M086 with VNAV left engaged. About 30nm before T/D at FL380 ATC instructed me to descend to FL240 so I went to the FMC desc page and activated desc now. I expected a 1200fpm descend but what I got was >3000fpm so I had to use vert spd and forgot about VNAV. I think the VNAV spd for the CI of 80 was about M0844.Now my question: Is this behaviour correct or did I do something wrong? I assumed that when I use spd intervention that this value is given to FMC and used for the VNAV desc calculation.Or do I first have to cancel the …

Well I am now having a problem with my 737 V speeds. They will not appear. I have followed loading a flight plan as I always did. Even started from scratch and placed the route very carefully exactly as it should. Still nothing. I did a search and founs somone had a problem awhile back but no resolution was offered. Can anyone think why this might be happening? The only thing I have done recently was update terminal procedures and Navdata to 0513.Thanks for any assistance

Hi folks,(Sorry if this has been asked before-couldn't find anything through a forum search)Does anyone know if you still have to do the online validation of the QOTS CD version. I may not have internet for several months and if I have to reinstall flight sim, which is highly like given my previous track record, I would be up a creek. I currently have the download version but thought maybe if the CD version is like my 800/900 from Aerosoft I could still use the QOTS without an internet connection.Which brings me to my second question. In the 737 NG, during an RNAV (GPS) approach, is there a way to program the GPS unit to automatically lock onto to the "artificial" glideslope and track it by pressing "Approach" on the MCP? (In other words, make it behave exactly like an ILS approach when "Approach" is pushed on the MCP.)ThanksChris Catalano

Does the TCAS control swtich on the 744 also work the transponder? so if i set it to TA/RA will the transponder turn on? because a few days ago when i got into the cockpit of a plane on the ground the mx guys turned the swtich to TA/RA to show us the traffic around the airport. and i was curious because in the PMDG 744 i assumed that switch also turns the transponder on, and thus thought that it might clutter the display for ATC.adam

1. I know that a complete idiot could find a solution to this problem but I am very new to this product. And I am trying to get the correct displays on the Attitude indicator screen and the other navigation screen right now, they look different to how they should look. This is not the first time this happened, it happened yesterday when I was following a tutorial, but then I somehow changed it to the original display appearance (I really can't remember how).
