Supports FS2004 and Squaqbox file export too!It might be old news, but i think this sitehttp://www.fsroute.com/is very handy to easily generate flightplans for the PMDG FMC and FS2004 at the same time. So you can fly with the FMC route, but the FS2004 ATC is informed about your flightplan.In comination with this sitehttp://rfinder.asalink.net/free/its even more usefull, just select your depart and approach airports and it finds the best route. Then Copy&paste the nav points into fsroute.com and your done.

HEllo to everyone. Im new to the PMDG 747, about a month or so. Im loving it. Im fairly familiar with the operation and the FMC as far as routes and such etc. Though there is one issue I consistently have problems with though . Namely missed apporaches. I understand the basic procedures as in charts and flying the hold etc. HOwever I cannot seem to use the FMC at that point to assign a new approach and attempt to land at the airport I just missed approach on using the autopilot and FD. It seems the FMC simply does not want to allow me to reprogram a new route while in the hold or in general after the missed approach.IM sure Im missing something here, and am wondering if a…

Captains,Happy New Year to all!We need some info from anyone that is having the "crackling" issue with the sounds for the 747:1. Are you experiencing this, and if so, what sound card are you using?2. If you are hearing the issue, try the following:Go to Start/Run and type dxdiag and hit enterGo to the Sound tab and lower the slider for "Sound Hardware Acceleration Level" to the minimum (full left) and retest the plane to see if the problem is gone.We're trying to get a handle on which cards and onboard sound chipsets are exhibiting this problem, as it appears to be driver/acceleration related, rather than something in the actual sounds themselves.Thanks!

I noted the HOLD key in the FMC of the PMDG 737NG 600/700.The purpose of this key is to establish and control the addition of a holding pattern to the flight plan.Can anyone supply me with a tutoral on how to establish a holding pattern using the HOLD key?Thanks.Stanner:P

I used Filemon to troubleshoot FS tonight. For those who don't know about filemon, it's a small application that tracks file system activities real time. When I use it with FS, I can see in real time what files FS9.EXE tries to access. It helped me detect a couple of missing effect files that FS9.EXE infinitely tried to locate, hence causing significant FPS drop. After I fixed the problem I happened to load up PMDG737 and I noticed when I am in 737 VC, FS9.EXE uses over 50% of the time accessing two font files over and over and over again. they are LUCON.TTF and QUARTZ.TTF. FS9.EXE just keeps opening, quering and closing those files. I then tried about every other …

I'm new to PMDG 747-400 flying but before I was using PS1 with cirrus II PFC controls and aerosoft Mcp. I would like to know if you are able to use the MCP yet with PMDG 747-400, if not is someone working on a program to get it to work. Thank You Dwane

Hi All, I have the Beech 1900C and D and only use the D version, reading in the manual ,in the VC you can remove the yoke by clicking on the black base of it in the C version but i cannot see anything about removing it in the D version and clicking on it does not remove it, neither does the overhead light work or the armrest, so is all this only for the C version. Any help would be appreciated ,thanks Roger.

Since installing the Queen from CD-ROM almost 3 weeks ago, I have had a number of situations where I loaded the a/c to find engines 2,3,and/or 4 all out, with only No. 1 running. This has often occurred where I loaded the default Cessna initially when I launched FS9. But it does not always happen now since a huge FS9 crash I had using the Queen that wrecked all of my GoFlight hardware settings. Absurdly, since restoring the GF software, I find the Queen acts more normally on loading!Anyway, here is what I believe is a foolproof method to load your Queen on the ground or in the air, using standard saved MSFS files, to find that all 4 engines are working normally:Load an…

Hello All,Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. I decided to invest in an Athlon 64 bit CPU. All I can say is WOW! Flying from the Virtual Cockpit there are no stutters. For example I hadn't realised how long it took to move the MCP Heading/Altitude/Speed bugs, now they're silky smooth.If you can afford it, I highly recommend the investment especially (if like me) you only fly the Queen, although that might change if an Airbus ever left the PMDG hanger. ;-)Having read the NTSB MD-10 report this morning I'm now off to practice my crosswind landing techinque. :-)Regards,PaulP.S. I have downloaded the latest SIDS/STARS from the PMDG web site. However, there are no Sids or Stars for the Geneva airport LSGG.This airport has two major runways, rwy #05 and rwy 23. Both of these runways have SIDS and STARS in real life. Is there anywhere that I can get this data for downloading and inclusion in my PMDG SIDS/STARS data [email protected]

Hello,can anybody help me? I use multiple monitors for my PMDG. I want to permanently move the chronograph-popup from the main monitor to a secondary monitor, like I did with throttle etc. I undock the chronograph-panel and drag it to the secondary monitor. I save the flight. When I re-open the saved flight, the chronograph-panel is on the main monitor again. I have been successful with throttle and all other panels, but not with the chronograph-panel.Any idea?ThxThomas

Hi all,Does anyone know if there is a 747-400 performance chart that I can use to calcutate the actual GTOW and assumed weight so that I can calculate an assumed temperature to enter into the FMC. I think there would be two chart for this. The charts I'm referring to are used to determine an assumed temperature to enter into the FMC. I don't see these charts in any of the PMDG manuals. Ken.

Hi all, from a recent 744 cockpit visit (Qantas Flight 29 SYD-HKG, VH-OJR), I got a few questions answered by a really great and friendly flight crew kind enough to allow me to visit after landing (got moved to upper deck in Business class for landing!):From what the flight crew of said, some stanard procedures:- Engines started with Packs 1 & 3 off- Take-off performed with all packs on- No engines shut down upon taxi-in- Assumed temp. derate used (I am pretty sure, although, not completely sure, that no fixed derate, like the TO1 or TO2 settings are used)- V-Speeds: V1 calculated manually from performance manual, FMC's VR and V2 speeds used- APU switched on just bef…

Hi all,I have both the 737-800/900 & 747-400 packages (retail CD version) and with both I notice that the engine sounds don't seem quite right. hi guys,first i want to say that the 747 is the greatest and most detailed addon ever made for fs9. but there is the problem. my mashine is not strong enough for this one. because i mostly have not much time spending on flightsim, i would be happy to use only the GREAT exterior model... cold anyone tell me what i have to do when i only want to use the model without the panel? when i try to replace the original with the default 747-panel, the exterior model doesn`t have any of it`s great animations anymore. for example, the frontgear is turned about 90 degrees and no control surfaces move anymore. i know, using the full product would be great, but with about 5-7 fps it`s n…

When descending from a low level crz alt(8000ft msl) flying from PHNL to PHOG the "air cond" warning goes on in the caution and warning panel.Also, occasionally , occurs on other flights with high crz altitudes. As far as I can see, the pneumatic system is properly set up....the L and R packs are set on auto, the recirculation switch is on auto , and both bleed air switches are on. Hi there,just baught FSP and everything is fine...everything except one issue with the PMDG 736Since i installed FSP and buyed that Aicraft I cannot use any keyshortcut for the PMDG. No F-Keys for Flaps, no G for Gear nothing... i have to do everything by clicking in the 2D-Pits... That's not very nice... I already asked at the FSP Forum but no real help there. Just before installing FSP I reinstalled the P737. I already reseted the FS keybindings to default and deleted all FSP Keybindings...no effect. Every other aircraft works fine, no matter if free or payware.Any help on this one?MfGJohann (Don't look at my nickname...don't know when or why i choose that one)

i have difficulties to tune directly an ils frequency on the fmc page NAV RADIO in the ILS-MLS field. the PARK indicator is alway on, i cannot delete is, i cannot replace it by a frequency or a ils-identifier. what is wrong? the vor field do not accept thes codes or frequencies either.can someone help me or tell me what to do? Hi,after installing the update 1.10 I still can open the doors with SHIFT+E, but in the FS keyboard settings SHIFT+E stands now for END simulation, which not happens.So the green band (Main entrance open) doesn´t occur when pushing SHIFT+E which is no prob at first because the door opens, BUT if you use FSPassengers this programm don´t recognized that the door 1L is open which is important for boarding/deboarding.Someone else with this problem? Hello,I just fly from Frankfurt to HongKong. The Destination on the PROG Page is a different from the first Page at the RTE-Page in the FMC. RTE Page says that the Original Airport is EDDF and the Destination VHHH. But when I click on the PROG Page, the Destination is UAUU. Why ? I do not fly there, and I didn't it entered it as alternativ airport.GreetingsBodo
