Cant seem to find anywhere on the net at how to go about making Rnav landings (cockpit settings etc.) and how to read the IAP (understanding what Im reading on the IAP's. Not sure if this can be easily explained here in the forumn, and if so, could someone direct me to a website that can explain this? Thanks.-Adam Harmon

I am just curious if I am the only one who has noticed this. Most other major flightsim sites and magazines have given the Queen a great deal of coverage. Yet for some reason this site, still has yet to put up a reveiw or even an announcement of its release. Is there some kind of funky politics going on here, or is it just a major oversite on their part? Just curious.Andrew

Hi everyone.Firstly, apologies as I am sure this problem has already been posted but I am having a problem with the two PMDG add-ons for Flight Sim 2004 (FS9).Basically what is happening is when I try to run any of the aircraft in the 737-600/700 range, no instruments work. When I try to flick between the main cockpit and the overhead panel views, half the screen disappears.I have followed the instructions of first installing 737NG and then 737-800/900, followed by running the model update. I get the DOS windows as it copies the various files around but it doesn't seem to make any difference.On their own (i.e. when one is installed and not the other), both the addons work…

Hi there everyoneWell, STOPS is impossible to search for anywhere!!! Is there anyone here that can explain to me what it stands for? I was also wondering what sort of time limits a 747 has with these sorts of operations? I gather for stops it is 120 minutes, I don't know about EROPS? Does it differ?Sorry if these questions seem very general/silly, they have been bugging me for quite some time!Does anyone know?CheersRudy

I have owned the "Queen" since it was released but had not taken it up into the air until today.I was one of the people who experienced the CTD when the battery switch was pressed, and I am happy to say that the deletion of the engine state seemed to cure the problem..Well, I today embarked on the 1st leg of the IVAO Tour for 2006, so I thought this would be an ideal opportunity to finally test it out after wading through the manuals last night I was pretty set up for this morning. Dear PMDG, I wonder if you could help............. I bought your product on the 16th sept last year and have enjoyed using it. However, it has recently been causing FS2004 to crash and now will not even start, freezing on the bootup screen. Having checked under my computer/manage/event viewer it seems that the problem began with a PMDG_Connector.dll was not found and a MCP747.EXE unable to locate component. I have downloaded the update to no effect and would like to completely reinstall the software, but somehow have lost my original install package downloaded from you. Is there a way to adjust the "speed" at which the radio altimeter knob adjusts the Decision Height in the 737? It seems that dialing in the correct DH takes FOREVER in the 737 (while in the 747, it goes so quickly). At a time where the workload is high, I don't want to take a year and a half to adjust this value - I have other things to accomplish in the meantime!Thanks.Chris Catalano

Hi everyone,Last night I purchased the 800/900 version to go along with the NG version. I downloaded 2 COA liveries (one for 800, the other 900). To my bewilderment, when I load up my 737-700(already had a COA livery for that), the cockpit is that of the 800/900, even in VC mode...and the sounds (engines, cockpit sounds and all) are also from the 800/900 variant. Basically, the only thing that shows me it's a 737-700 is the model, everything else from cockpit to sounds is the other variants. I've deleted them out and resintalled them and each time I've done that, the same thing happens. Any ideas on how to remedy this? And why no panel bright? Thank you for the hel…

Hi,It's had me baffled for some time why the 737NG's seem to have weird payload configuration. I only really fly the -700 and -800 variants. The -800 has 4 payload points (in the Edit Payload Dialog) and the -700 only has 1. My VA gives me a loadout for about 6 different sections. It further perplexes me that the PMDG load editor has provision for a forward and aft (2) load station, which matches neither of the configurations.Can someone recommend a way to patch the aircraft.cfg to add load stations without screwing up the dynamics?Thanks

This evening I was on an ILS approach into KMDW on Runway 31C. The winds were calm but it was hazzy and visibility was 5 nm. I wanted to bring the aircraft in all the way and pull the throttle back when the PFD depicted RETARD. When I did the nose just dipped straight down when above 30 AGL. I would appreciate some input. I was not using a weather add-on package. I was using the standard Jeppeson weather DATA. Thank you,Abe

Is there a 747 load editor? if so I cannot find it...I purchased the 737-600-737-900 and then the 747... i loaded the 737 exe first and then the 747 exe....I have a load editor for all the 737 models but none for the 747....??? Thanks for any help you can offerRick Ryan

So I regularly use FlightSim manager to go through and check my scenery.cfg and aircraft dependancies etc...Has anyone with the 737-6/7/8/9 and the 744 ever done this?In the 737 the panel.cfg referenced two .bmp's that were not present in all of the folders. It was the 737NGFMC.bmp and the Radio_nbackground.bmp. In the 744, it pointed out that window17 in the panel.cfg references a .bmp called 747400_MiscPanel.bmp This file is non-existent on my install of the latest version 1.10. Similarly the panel.cfg references a 747CDU.bmp. In checking the panel directory, that particular files is actually named 747400CDU.bmp, NOT 747CDU as the panel.cfg references.I am not sure …

I have a SAITEK DASH2 key pad. When I programme the key pad some keystroke combinations do not work although the key combinations work on from the normal keyboard. The keypad works fine with the default planes.eg CMDL = ctrl+Q (default TAB+Q but I have changed it).Hitting CTRL & Q on the keyboard activates CMDL. However after I programme a button on the key pad to ctrl+Q, when I hit this button nothing happens.Any ideas anybody?RegardsJohn Earl

Ok following on from MDA's DA's and DH's.I don't think it is possible to tune in a DA on the Baro instrument and also a DH on the Radio Altimeter?? I can only have one visible at at time on the PFD??IS this correct you have to use one or the other??ThanksMark

Hello,Suppose a (wonderful) NDB approach on rwy 08 that involves flying to the outer marker of rwy 26 first (desc to 3000ft), then continue rwy heading 259 and overfly rwy 26 (desc to 2000ft), then when crossing the middle marker of rwy 08 make a right turn 28 degrees, and eventually after about 4nm make a large left turn 208 degrees (desc 1400ft) to get in heading 079 on a final path towards the NDB (or compass locator) and rwy 08 (see attached picture).I let the autopilot with VNAV and LNAV armed fly the first part of the approach (until I'm aligned with rwy 08). I was flying KSEAKSFO at FL350 using Radar Contact 4, Ultimate Traffic, FSUIPC 3.53, AdvDisp 4.14 and FSGenesis scenery. The copilot had the comm. We were in a normal descent mode, approaching FL140 about 50 miles north of KSFO. Both times, immediately after the copilot asked to leave frequency for weather, I had a CTD (black screen with AdvDisp box showing). The module identified in the error report was atc.dll. Hello allI am just getting used to the 737-800/900 and what a great a/c it is.I tried to set an failure yesterday and neither the "fail in x minutes", nor the "already failed" functions worked? This was after setting from the PMDG menu at the top of the screen.I then tried using the FS9 failures menu and it worked first time. Am I missing something ?Peter

Hi all,On average for say a 1hr 30min flight would they take as extra in flying terms??I used FSB last night to plan from EGCC-EDDF - which is about 1hr 30mins.The fuel it worked out for me gave me enough flying time for 3hrs?? Is that way to much or??ThanksMark

Hi allI hope you can answer my question. I can't find what I'm looking for in the supplied documentation.Is the FMC supposed to automatically tune ILS frequencies? I know that in the approach performance page, the ILS freq and runway QDM are provided, but I find that I must manually tune ILS frequencies.Is this correct or am I maybe missing something in my relative inexperience with this aircraft?Thanks in advance for any helpGordon

Hi all. I need help re my V speeds for takeoff on the pmdg 737 700, the FMC calculates the takeoff speeds but when I reach the v1 speed i cant get airbourne, the same with vr and v2, in fact, most times I run out of runway!! can anyone help? Many Thanks, Jared

Hey guys, I was just wondering where the FMC gets the data for predicting the fuel estimate on arrival. Does it read the fuel burnoff "base" from the aircraft.cfg file under "fuel flow scalar" of the general engine data? Or is it hard coded into the gauge itself?I just want to test a few things. I'd appreciate any help you can give me on this.thanks, guys!mike

I continue to have problems with FSNAV and PMDG. After I update my FSNAV scenery database, the PMDG aircraft (only PMDG, not any others) will not track the correct LNAV route. It is always off by 10degrees or less. Normally about 5-10degrees. Additionaly, when making an ILS appraoch, I am always off by 5 degrees. It is if the airport in in the wrong place.I have tried everything including reinstalling FS9 and the PMDG. Reinstalling FS9 will solve the problem, but it makes no sense to do this on a regular basis. Has anyone experienced a similar problem or does anyone have a clue what might be going on?
