Dear Technical Support, 18 months ago, I upgraded to Girlfriend1.0 from DrinkingMates4.2, which I had used for years without any trouble. However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off. To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is incompatible with several other applications, such as LadsNightOut 3.1, Football 4.5, and Playboy 6.9. Successive versions of GirlFriend proved no better. I tried a shareware program, Slapper 2.1, but it had many bugs and left a virus in my system, forcing me to shut down completely for several weeks. Eventually, I tried to run GirlF…

Hi guys,All these great companies like PMDG, and gates.to are bringing FS to its max possible simulation. Myself and a friend have worked FSNET and PMDG744 together for a long time now, and have found that it works :) Yes it works, there might be minor glitches, but it works!!Information as follows:Both pilots MUST be in the VIRTUAL cockpit soo all the switches work, and both of you can see and operate the switches at the same time. If one is in the 2D panel, and the other in the 3D, the person in the 2D can change things, but without the other person seeing it, although - anything the person in the 3D panel does, it wil be seen. My greetings to all Captains!As far as I understand I can use PMDG and LDS load managers to add both passengers and cargo to the aircraft. Thanks to Internet and AVSIM's Flight Plan forum I can get hundreds of real-world flight plans and load them into FMC to provide more realistic flighting environment.I often use flight data and track logs from FlightAware.com. Sometimes I can see that initial cruise altitudes differ from those I have, i.e. after I'd use load manager and make necessary take-off calculations. I understand this difference as an influence of preflight conditions such as winds, weather conditions and most importantly the PAYLOAD on aircraft's planned flight…

As a newbie on the PMDG 747-400, I want to share the following thoughts with both the developers and other users at large.First, a little bit about my FS experience. I have been using computers for around 25 years, and know my way around PCs pretty well. I have been simming on & off since around 1990 (previously on my Amigas, but on PCs with MSFS since about 1998), so I think I have a good understanding of various aspect of simming. Flew it on a delivery flight from KBFI to KJFK and I have to say it's well worth it. The best payware addon for FS9!First when I got it installed, I went to KBFI and loaded the aircraft, then I started up the APU, checked everything out and I proceed to attempt to start the #1 engine. Pulled the starter switch and no N1 response. I looked to see if I forgot to engage the APU Bleed air valve or similar to that, nope. Back to the manuals and found out the fuel valve must be turned on before pulling the starter. When selecting an approach on the arrivals page there are several choices such as ILS and RNAV's. My question is, what the differance is between ILS and RNAV approaches? I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this.Thanks,Irv Strongin

Hi there, I have had this problem a few times now and not sure wot causes it. Sometimes the 2 CRT screens on the main panel show up mostly black, the left one doesn't have the artificial horizon and when on map mode on the second one nothing shows.It does say IRS align time +7?Is this just a thing that happens and will be ok after a while.I hope I don't have to unistall and reinstall again, I have done this 3 times already!Kind RegardsGavin Moss

Fellow Captains,This was supposed to be just a routine flight. Here is the report:- CYEG to KSEA. Regular weight, 90X1000 lbs fuel.- Head winds 16, gusting to 21.- Targetted altitude, FL 360; VNAV page two stated OPT 367/MAX 409.- At beginning of climb, the whale was "bouncing" up and down most of the time (wind?).- After getting to FL 220 using VNAV, the VS rate was minimum. No way I could climb faster. ATC started complaining...- Worst, speed did not increase: stayed around 280 (target 315).- After a while, I tried VS at 1200 ft/m and disconnect VNAV. Climb finally started and reached FL 320, but speed decreased to a point of danger. Level at FL 320 hoping to pick up sp…

hi all, i have some little problems with my autolandings. when i create a flightplan and choose an airport runway with ils, the fms tells my "invalid entry" or similar when i want to push the apr-knob on final approach. i only can activate the loc. in a tutorial flight, everything worked fine. what did i do wrong? also, could someone tell my how to reset the fms after ending a flight pls. nevertheless, the 747 is the greatest and most realistic addon ever made for flightsim. i love it even when i got problem s with it. i also would like to know how to programm a flightplan with fsnavigator WITH sids and stars (where can i choose them in fs navigator???) and export it to t…

Fsnet is working for me now with the PMDG 744. A friend and I have found that when both in the Virtual cockpit (you must use the virtual cockpit, not the 2d cockpit) everything works except for the FMC. Great fun!

Now that I am becoming adept at programming the PMDG B737NG-800 FMC, I thought I would try a 'pilot entered' waypoint. However, all I got for my pains was a blunt message in the Scratchpad thus "Not in Database"? I tried a couple of variations, thay failed as well. The Lat/Lon Reference is = N51 28,74/W000 06, 09; in order to fit the FMC User's Manual Instructions, I actually entered = N512874/W000609 - is this correct? On the other hand, using PPPPPBBB/DDD with an existing navigation waypoint, worked fine. All help would be greatly appreciated.KenSomerset, England

I am having trouble with the IRS.Going through the tutorial by Jared Smith, it says you have to align the IRS system.Procedure:1. Turn the 3 IRS knobs to NAV from Off2. (Optional) Turn the knob to ALIGN, although you could leave it on NAV3. Go to FMC and set IRS POS by clicking LSK 4R then LSK 5R (copying GPS POS to IRS POS)The problem I am having is that when I do that, instead of copying the GPS POS to IRS POS, the IRS POS simply goes blank, that is, completely black with boxes disappeared and no coordinates which should math GPS POS.When I first tried the tutorial it worked, but it doesn't work anymore. My PMDG 747 installation was corrupted by a trojan and I need to completely uninstall it and then of course reinstall, however, the shortcut for uninstall is not working from the add/remove programs list in control panel. It flashes for a second and never uninstalls. The size of it also is continuously increasing when I try to remove it...Very strange.Anyway, I've serached for it through the registry and deleted all 747 entries I could find and also deleted all related files from the FS9 folder that I could find, but when I try to install my original setup file, it tells me that a newer version is installed and it exits the installation. When i load the pmdg a/c and start a flight it freezes the sim and the keyboard doesnt work at all. This is very strange to me because ive had the pmdg 737s for a while now and havent had any problems until now. However i did recently install ultimate traffic last week because I was flying offline while internet was unplugged for a day. But that shouldnt affect the pmdg 737s. Whats the problem.

Hi PMDG Captains, i've have a couple of questions..When Descending below 10.000ft i really challange to slow down the aircraft especially if i'm descending manually with vertical speed instead of VNAV.even with full speedbrakes, if descent rate is more than 1100fps, aircraft starts to gain speed.
