    Havent had the above for long, but I have a few questions to ask.1: On an ILS approach,I get no marker beacon indication, either visually or in audio.2: When I tune into an NDB station I cant hear the morse identifier.3: On the Standby RMI, the right hand switch does not turn, even though the manual indicates that it does.Would appreciate some answers to the above, if possible.Cheers,Freo

I did not see any reason for taking it down , unless there was something in the last few posts that I don't know about. HiI remember in the past , someone pointed out a problem with the saved flight at KPAE airport which had the cold and dark cockpit for the 747, after the patch has this been fixed or one still needs to create its own cold and dark session and save it (panel and flight)?So for next time you can just load the scenario saved or the panel to initiate the next flight with it.Can anyone clarify this for me as I don't want to use MY cold and dark panel from the PRE patch????Thanks!

    Hi,I have been trying to fly the Queen, but I cannot seem to get the A/T and VNAV to Work. I was flying from Sydney to Changai. Everything seem prgrammed OK into the FMC. I took off on Take Off /GA A/T. At about 700 Ft ASL I engaged the VNAV; L NAV and the left hand A/P switch on the MCP. The EFIS displayed "THR REF LNAV VNAVSP". The aircarft seemd to catch the LNAV course fine, but it did not accelerate towards the speed set by the FMC or did it climb (in fact it sank). The FMC stated that it was in Clmb Spd 253 mode but it would not climd. When I tried to chage it to ordinary vspeed, it ignored this too and just climed at what ever rate the speed of the aircraft would a…

    Hi there guys, I am having a problem with the PMDG 747-400. When I want to do a longhaul flight say VHHH to EGLL, I load the 747 and from the PMDG menu in FS2004, I select Full fuel. I have noticed that when I do this, the aircraft finds it very hard to takeoff and barely leaves the ground.Does anyone have any suggestions to loadings and amount of fuel for a long flight like this?Look forward to repliesKind RegardsGavin Moss

    I cannot get the V speed LK buttons to work on my FMC, despite having the preflight status complete message.All the pre-requisites such as Perf Init are complete and flap settings done. Question if the flap settings are incorrect will this be the cause? Also having completed the route on going to Step through to check I find a deceleration icon moving back and forwards approx +/- miles along the route line.Altering the speed settings on the FMC does not appear to do anything to fix this, any ideas?

    Hi,Any news on the 744F features or are they still a state secret? ;-)Just a few things, firstly regarding engine fires. Will we able to close a thrust lever when there is an engine fire, with the A/T enabled? Also I don't think the fire handles should centre after rotating. Also how about the PFD speed tape, will the barber pole now display max speeds,etc according to actual flap position ?Anyway it seems like its getting close, can't wait.-Paul :-)

    I just had a look at the latest World Tour pictures...forgive me if I'm wrong about this (or if this has been mentioned before), but it seems that from the cockpit, you are looking at the inside of the nosecone?Surely, you should be seeing the top (outside) of the nosecone?Best,Martijn Pleines

    Hi all,From what I can see the only document we have with the PMDG737 is the N1 setting page, but this is for full power....What I am trying to work out is when we are climbing in LVL CHANGE with the autopilot that obviously puts it into N1 power which I belive is full power??I think maybe when I set a derate in the FMC and then I fly in LVL CHANGE mode as they do in the real world when lots of traffic around that is climbing in N1 so will not be following the derate from the FMC.... How can I make sure I fly with reduced takeoff thrust or reduced climb??Going on from there when we are climbing to 10,000ft we put it into lvl change and put speed window to 250knts as VNAV …

    I have purchased 747 for use with project Magenta. I use also an Aerosoft 747 MCP. The autopilot does not react to Magenta at all. Also when in PMDG mode the Aerosoft MMCP does not work with the 747. It did with the PMDG 737 serie.Anybody ideas on how to solve these?Rob

    Hi all,I am an owner and user of the MCP and EFIS/EICAS units developped by Aerosoft Australia. Until today I use this hardware with Aerowinx simulation. Recently I bought PMDG 747 addon for FS2004 and I want to use the units with the patch Andrew have developped. Unfortunatly I have lost the interface program (mcp747.exe)to use with FS2004. Since the Aerosoft Australia site is closed, I can't download it. May someone have the kindness to send me by mail or tell me where I can download it.Thank you in advance.Fran

    Hello everyone:I have been absolutely delighted with all the improvements that were made to the 747 and very much look forward to the -400F enhancements. I am left with but one very small item on my wish list.Soon after the initial release someone posted about this item, but I have not seen any mention of it since. I was wondering whether there were any plans to include an option to manually configure the boost pumps after loading fuel on the airplane.     It looks like the -400F is going to be a great enhancement to the 747-400. Reading the MD-11 Product page I see;PMDG Dispatch Center - Manage the airplane load, calculate fuel requirements and obtain important flight information such as takeoff speeds, trim settings and runway length requirementsWill the 744F see anything equivalent and what performance hit will the 744F make if any?     I'm thoroughly enjoying the 744, to say the least. Invariably, however, questions arise to which the AOM doesn't seem to give a clear answer or seems to be wrong (?).     First, it was great reading this morning that the AerosoftMCP drivers are now available for flying with the Queen.....but....I am finding a problem with this install.....I have placed the two new required files into the AerosoftMCP folder as instructed.But when trying to open the program I get the following message...=================================================The application failed to start because the file LVLDSDK.DLL not found=================================================Is there a workaround for this problem?Hope so!!Mel Ott

    Hi, I have a question about the excellent PMDG B737 800/900 simulator.Is it possible to move sub panels to another monitor? I have tow monitors and with the MAAM-SIM R4D /DC3 I can move any sub panel to the other monitor leaving the main instrument panel uncluttered on the left (main) monitor.Do you know if this is possible also with the PMDG B737 800/900? I can only slide the sub panels around on the same monitor as the main instrument panel. Regardslinroe
