I have noticed the T/D location on the ND and the T/D in the FMC are differant. I will be 20 - 30 nms from the T/D postion on the ND in the map mode when the FMC says I am at T/DRay

I was in CRZ at FL380 in a flight from MIA to ORD. I was north of ATL in VNAV and LNAV and got up to get a drink. 30 seconds later I hear the stick shaker. I quickly returned to the cockpit and find the aircraft 10 degrees down and 30 degress in a right turn and speed at around 0.6 mach. I took manual control of the aircraft but could not maintain wings level flight. Speed was impossible to maintain unless in a dive. The aircraft would not respond to flight director input only manual control and little of that. Finally I discovered my rudder was hardover to the right. I cycled the rudder pedals and regained normal flight control. After I manaully returned to CRZ speed of …

I posted this at the end of a long thread elsewhere but am putting it here for better visibility.After installing mcp747.exe and the PMDG_747connector.dll files as the instructions specify to install the driver for the Aerosoft Australia MCP, I am getting an error message from mcp747.exe whenever I select the PMDG 737 or 747. It says "Invalid license. Check that you haven't renamed the application from it's installation name." The error message window has the title "PMDG_Connector.DLL".I have not changed any names. My installation was done using default folder and file names and my PMDG 737 and 747 software is legitimate purchased software that runs fine without the MCP …

hi, i just purchased the disc version of pmdg 747. have installed product which worked but, on 2d cockpit view when i try to alter a lots of the switches i do not get the hand with the extended finger which allows the switch to operate, i get a black line with an arrow head on each end, when clicked it only allows the switch to go in one direction only, and if you use say the efis display switches they rotate in an anticlockwise direction only. also the sids and stars do not work, i have looked in the file sids & stars and they are there. i have the pmdg 737 800/900 installed on my pc and have no problems with this, my pc is less than a year old and is a high spec sys…

Gentlemen,Before any of you flame me, allow me to say I'm a novice when it comes to PMDG's B-747-400 software. I've loaded Jared Smith's KLAX-KEDW training scenario and have a problem with the -400's autopilot going offline once cruise is established at FL150. I'm no stranger to the -400's FMC and cannot think of anything I'm doing incorrectly to cause this problem. There is no predicting when/where the AP failures are occuring, only that they occur in cruise flight 2-3 minutes after establishing s&l flight.I'd very much appreciate your "expert" input on this matter. I cannot think of any reason for this anomaly, except to suggest it's so realistic it actually mimics …

Helo Pilots!I have 2 questoins for he PMDG 747.Yesterday i did a fliht from EGLL to KBOS.First problem: when i enter the NAT waypoints the FMC changed some of the waypoints.The waypoints were 5320N, 5430N, 5440N, 5450N.The FMC stored this: 5319N, 5429N, 5440N, 5450.It changed the first two.Second problem: at KBOS the wind was 300/8kts, so i choose 33L for landing.I selected it in the ARR page.The FMC tuned it near Boston, but in the pfd was IMDC 151

Good day,Let me preface this with pilot error was no doubt involved but as I haven't had the time to go through the process again I wanted to ask those out there more experience with this airframe.Autoland at HECA. A/T on, FD on, and autobrakes were still on at the time. Plane slows to 0kts. ((Super impressed as I watched my maiden landing in the SPOTTER view.)) I push up on the throttles to taxi forward and to vacate the runway. Plane on its on turns to the right over 90 degrees and moves forward. Hi people!I have been flying only the -800 for quite a time always together with fs2crew. Then i started again with the -700 for the first time the app mode disconnected when becoming active. This means HDG select or VNAV and ALT hold is enabled before to intercept and the APP mode armed. Now when the APP mode should become active the A/P disconnects, the disconnect warning sound, A/T goes to N1 G/A and the FMC deletes the route. Now you are unable to reengage the APP mode, even if you cycle the F/D. Furthermore the F/D cannot be disengaged at all for continuing raw data. I then reinstalled both the PMDG 737-600/700 + -800/900 with the latest servicepack and fs2crew (lat…

i have always used the simple autopilot provided by microsoft planes. but now there like tons of buttons for it! all i want is VOR navigation with altitude selction and vor route selection. PLEASE HELP i have no clue wat to do!!!

Good morning all wonderful people at PMDG, I recently have had the unfortunate problem of serious error on my computer hard drive and I have had replace the hard drive and re-install windows. So this means I have lost my recent purchase of the 747. I have tried twice to receive answers from pmdg team through the [email protected] once on the 2nd of Jan and again on the 18th both times including all the information they require, and I still have not heard anything. I am desperate to get back to some serious flying with the queen, and I really would like to have it in time for the release of 400F... I do hope you can help me as I feel lost without this superb 7…

Hi,I'm having some problems with the Auto Throttle on a long haul.The AP Mode Display, does the following:- My AT Toggle Switch is On (Glareshield)- IAS/Mach Indicator on the Glareshield, is blank- SPD, THR, FL CH Off- VNAV On- PFD Shows "SPD"Out of the blue, the aircraft will just increase throttles, pick up speed, and the PFD will show a blank in the AT Display on the PFD.The only way I get get it back:- Disenage AT (Toggle switch off, and on) on the Glareshield- Select FL CH on Glareshield- Select SPD on Glareshield- Push SPD selector knob on the Glareshield- PFD shows "SPD" again, and the AT reduces throttles so that the plane goes back to the commanded speed in the F…

ok my pmdg 744 CD finally came and now when i load the cold dark flight the frames are messed up. Dont give me the same replies you tell everyone else because my PMDG 737s work awesome. When i start the flight after i input route in FMC it ask to enter IRS posistion again when i enter it the course comes up fine in IRS screen but then the frames drop from 19.8 to 11.3 this is weird. Hello PMDG People,The PMDG 747 manual details that the 747-400 pressurization system (with PACKS on AUTO), begins to pressurize the cabin when a sensor detects groundspeed at 60+ knots on takeoff roll. I know that the pneumatic systems on some other fleet type aircraft pressurize the cabin as soon as the PACKS are set after engine start.Question: Do later models of aircraft have the groundspeed sensor system for better fuel economy or is this system incorporated for enhanced safety in the event of emergency evacuation (I.E., the aircraft wouldn't have to be de-pressurized on the ground so the flight attendants could more easily open the passenger doors). I fly using the FS2Crew in my 737. The method they recommend is to start the default Cessna. Turn off the engine, avionics, and the master switches. then load the PMDG 737 of your choice. this will place the cockpit cold and dark. I do not use a saved panel state. I start in the default Cessna at the departure gate, shut down as listed above, start my weather engine, get my weather route set, get my weather briefing, do any last minute routing, and then start my flight aircraft(PMDG, LDS, CS, etc) This gives me a cold and dark aircraft ready for aircraft recept checklist.Ray

The FMC does'nt reflect accurate GrWt in the perf init page. For instance, when loading the NG737 700 Northwest Livery the GrWt that appears in the FMC is 69.5( 69,500 lbs )....this wt apprears irrespective of the weights reprsented in the load manager or FS9.If another livery is loaded such as Southwest there could be another value for GrWt such as 134,000 lbs. If I manually change the GrWt the v speeds can't be entered. Is this a known issue with this product, and if so, is there a work around?Thanks,Irv Strongin
