Hi all, I just read that PMDG is working on a driver to make the engravity 747 CDU directly compatible with the PMDG 747-400.Is it correct to assume that it will become possible to use this CDU without project Magenta? Are there any plans to do the same for the 737 CDU of Engravity, if so I'm the next in line for one. What withheld me until now was that it would only function in conjunction with project Magenta.Finally, will the 737 unit be compatible with the 747 and vice-versa, this should be possible despite the slightly different keyboard lay-outs.Can anybody shed some light on these issues?Regards,Arjen Nederstigt

Hi all Captains,I'm flying with no problem the latest update of the QOS (no CTD, no performance issues, lucky ?), and I've noticed some weird behaviour with the Autopilot ONLY when using the QOS with Radar Contact V4 (an amazing add-on, IMHO). Tried several times, with same wx/loading settings, and I came up with the following issues:- when using just the QOS (and ASV and other add-on that are NOT using the ADV display), the plane flies very well, the autopilot works as per the manuals, attitude and speed very stable/realistic in any pitch/roll mode of the AFDS- when using Radar Contact (which uses ADV display), while generally the plane still flies beautifully, expecial…

Last night, I was taxing around KPIE airport in Clearwater , Florida, a quite small airport for a B747, and I noticed a strange aircraft behavior issue. Of course, since the airport is so tight, I needed to use differential braking to be able to maneuver around the airport. When I applied RIGHT braking, the aircraft turned beautifully. However, when I tried to use LEFT braking, the aircraft came to a stop. After a few minutes of testing, I was sure something was not right, so I went to the aircraft.cfg file to see what was going on... Sure enough, I found an error. hi,i have a question regarding the trim (not only of the 747) in flight. when at cruising alt, the nose of the plane is still up and not parallel to the ground or horizon. i have this problem on most planes but how can i trim aircraft with autopilot engaged? it will always set the trim as before. i also used the random load in the load manager, so i have not loaded too much in the back belly. please help me solving this problem. is there any autotrim function or similar?thxphil

Hi.I love the 747 very much. But there is One thing that I miss very much on it. And that is a good 2d-panel view for landing. I have a pretty good, but not high end system but the 3d-cockpit takes the fps down pretty much. Especially if I also have scenery for the airport I use at the time.Now on the 737NG

I have been having a lot of trouble with the 747 lately (since applying the service update). I can not maintain the requested airspeed while flying level at cruise altitude. For example, I am currently flying at FL380. FMC indicates that Max Altitude is FL393. But, I started loosing airspeed and now am stuck just above stall speed.This has happened several flights in a row over the past couple of weeks.I used the 744 Load Manager (2/3 full) just prior to the flight and I used the PMDG Fuel menu to load the fuel (190,000lbs).What am I doing wrong?Thanks,Jason

How many of you have come back to your PC to find that you missed the point of the flight where you should have gone tank-to-engine, thus leaving you with an improper fuel balance?Here's a solution: Note your fuel load in the EICAS then go into the PMDG fuel menu and load that same amount. Click on apply and when you go back in the fuel has been redistributed correctly and the appropriate pumps are on, cross-feeds off etc.Handy!

Hi:Yeah, it's me again ;-) Anyway, what I wanted to know is if there is a way to "add" gauges/switches to the 737NG panel? I have some separate switches that I used on other panels that were for things like "safety briefing", and "pax boarding/taking" sound effects.I used to use FS Panel Studio for the others but I get all kinds of errors when trying to load the panel for the NG.Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated :-beerchugFletcher R.P.S. First off, the freighter is looking amazing. you guys never cease to amaze me at the quality of the work you guys make. my question is, if i get the freighter, will i also get the RR and PW engine data and indications on the pax version? and also, will each engine have its own respective soundset? im not much into freight(that may change) and probably the only reason i will buy the freighter is get the engine data for the RR and PW since im a realism freak and dont fly the RR and PW model. getting the RR and PW engines would open up a lot more airlines. thanksadam

HiI am in the 737-700 flying the star, when ATC changes the arrival r/w, so I select dep/arr on the fmc and switch to the new one and exec, which seem to work ok. But it wiped out the rest of the waypoints on the star, I tries to enter the star again but that would not work, perhaps because I was already past the first waypoint. Did I do this wrong or should/does this happen?MTIASteve

Is it possible to make an update for the B747 panel so you can use Wing Views.I have all the available models and the Wing Views I downloaded from Avsim work great.But they tell me that the B747 has no support for Wing Views.

I am 500K lbs ZFW with 17K of fuel. The FMC says Gross Weight is 492K and the "Dual" in small font says 517K. I tried to delete the 492K Gr. Wt. fig but it keeps re-appearing; same in APPROACH page.I had landed previously and taken off again in this a/c for a local hand flight to practice approaches, and wonder if this has something to do with the weight display diff. Or am I doing something wrong? Any advice, etc. welcome, thanks!Jonathan
