Does anyone know if there are any main panel alternate bitmaps available is a color that's not so dark ?

I have downloaded some textures from the PMDG website and they are not loading. I am getting an error message saying the airstair.bmp could not be loaded. Please assist me in figuring out how to install the textures.Thank you,Kevin

An interesting question has been brought up and it might be fun to get some feed back on this topic. This is all about how the airplane's Present Position is maintained for navigation. Exactly how does this occur? Gotta do a bit of setup first. The FMS provides the function of providing navigation calculations. The main piece of information it needs to provide this function is the airplane's present position. From this, all other information is derived. It doesn't know where London is. Wehn flying today with all the latest files installed from KJFK to EGLL the fmc would not load any data for EGLL, the decent page was blank and the arrival page for EGLL was empty. Everything worked as normal when I deviated to EGKK however. Any ideas?

Dear PMDG,Please help..a month ago, I still saw PMDG 744 have an effect rain drop on wind shield. But yesterday, I start up 744 with rainy day setting, I didn't found any rain drop effect anymore. But, I still able to get aneffect from default MSFS aircraft. VC cockpit is okay.B/Regards...Alex Ooi

Hi Guys!I'm new in pmdg 747 also i've installed the 737. But since i've installed the 747 I have a bug that I don't know if is related with the pmdg 747, with my graphic card or even is not a bug!the problem is:I start the FS2004 and I create a flight with the pmdg 747. When all is loaded, in the 2D or 3D view I see the PFD and ND working fine but, a minute later all this screens become black and I can't turn on. Is it normal? or is some bug related to something?I've a ati radeon 256MB 9550 AGP X8, pentium 4 at 2.4Ghz.thanks in advanced!

I have been spending the better part of a week learning the PMDG 737.Tonight I was logged onto VATSIM, spent a little over an hour fiddling with the aircraft, initializing the FMC, etc. and when the time came to taxi to the runway I experienced a swerve condition. i.e. I had control over either the right or left engine but never both at one time. I pressed e+1+2 numerous times without success.Because the swerve would constitute an unsafe flight condition for takeoff I had to cancel my flight plan on VATSIM. I am told this is a known issue with either the PMDG or Flight simulator. Is there a fix for this anywhere?Sam

Can somebody please explain how to load the supplied PMDG flight plans into the FMC. Do I need to extract these files to another folder in the Flight Sim directorys, or do I need to invest in FSBuild. Starting to pull my hair out, any guidance will be gratefully appreciated.ThanksShug.

I need to reinstall FS9. I know there have been some installation issues with various addons. After installing FS9.1, here is what I would like to install. hi,I'd like to know on what the selecting of the autopilot depends: L, C or R. I know they are backed up by different systems, but I always see on picutres that mostly either the C or the L autopilot is engaged. Which one is used normally on the 747?cheers!Rob

I had the ELEC GEN OFF 1 signal displayed during flight. I followed the abnormal procedures and pressed the Drive DISC button for engine 1. Is that all to the procedure? i also noticed that the N1 value of engine 1 doesn't go up to the autothrottle commanded value (see pic) Also the oil temperature on the STAT page is -150C?? . Could anyone provide me with the full procedure for such a failure? ThanksEien Carter

Hi,What is the correct way to temporarily change from VNAV -> SPEED in the 747? I tried this on a flight yesterday and no matter what I did I didn't manage to extinguish the VNAV button and instead light the SPEED button.Haven't had that much time to invest in the 747 yet and I'm sure this is in the manual somewhere, just thought if there is a quick and simple explanation to my question?

Just flew into KBOS (using new freeware boston v2 scenery by George Grimshaw) on the 744. ~0.5mi visibility right now up in Boston, and as aways, perfect ILS LAND3 landing. B747-400 QOTS.Having powered up the plane (battery, standby power, EXT or APU power) I swithch the IRS selectors from OFF to Nav and then back to ALIGN. Setting is for this to be realistic (circa ten minutes).NOW, once the countdown timers reach about 2 I get an FMC message telling me to enter IRS position. If I do this immediately and then change IRS selectors to NAV once countdown is complete then the process starts afresh with 7+ to align.I have tried waiting until the countdown timers reach 0 and dissappear then EITHER enter IRS position BEFORE IRS to NAV and also the reverse procedure (IRS to NAV then enter Position in FMC.There appears to be no consistency as to whi…

I purchased the 737ng with 800/900 a few days ago and so far love it. I would also enjoy in the future buying the 747. However, on the product page, it says I need a 64mb graphics card. I have 32. The 737 produces fairly decent framerates, and I was wondering if it was at all possible to run the 747 on it. :-hmmm

I'm having a problem manually setting a nav frequency on the NAV/RAD page of the FMC. Example: I'm trying to fly into ORD on 27R and set the ILS Frequency to 110.50, but i would get a message saying it was INVALID. I would be able to set the ORD nav frequency to 113.90, but not the ILS. Any ideas of what im doing wrong?thanks,Alexei

Hi all!I bought only yesterday the add-on package NG800/900 to Boeing 737NG.I started my first flight with a 737-900 from Reno to KSFO..
