HiI only have 'sad band' net access at home. I can d/l at work on a dsl connection, do I just need to copy the d/l to a cd before opening and copy this to my home pc and then run with my internet connection on ?Please advise procedure, as I wan't to get this right first time.MTIASteve

Hi Gang.I have noticed that a lot of the livery's are not Mipped, is there any particular reason for this.I don't want to get shouted at or anything, I was just curious,this seems to be a very touchy subject, some say it's better, some say it causes blurriness etc.and yet, ALL the MS FS aircraft are Mip Mapped, have a look using the MS tool from the MS FS site, you will see for yourself, every single plane is Mipped.thanks for any info,PS, if we don't Mip the A/C, isn't our graphics card not constantly trying to Mip them, as we have the Mips enabled on our graphic card settings anyway !(Moderator Edit: Title. I set up my FMC to fly YSSY (Sydney) - NZCH (Christchurch). The only choice of arrivals on the Dep/Arr page for NZCH was DME, VOR or visual - no ILS for runway 02 or 20.yet when I called up the Approach Page as I neared my destination, the ILS details including the frequency for runway 02 was listed. So I tuned the radios and duly made an ILS approach and landing. my question is, why wasn't the ILS approach listed on the Dep/Arr page ?

I have a couple questions before I consider buying this series. 1. Do these planes have any kind of FMC (default MSFS Garmin GPS etc.) ? 2. Being a turbo-prop, whats the max ceiling height that ATC allows this plane to opperate at? (Going to use it on Vatsim)

I purchased the 1900C a week ago, it's a pretty good plane for the money. My one complaint has to do with the sounds, specifically the flaps, gear up/down and runway roll. I can just barely hear them at all. I checked the cfg file and all seems to be okay for the min and max levels. The sound files I believe are compressed so I can't adjust the sound. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.Curt

Hi! I'm running TrackIR 4 with PMDG 744 and would like to hear other people's experiences of how best to use these together. I thought that I would be able to spend most of my time flying in the 3D view but with this sim, alot of time is spent managing the aircraft systems, so I'm finding that I spend most of my time in 2D views. For example, pushing buttons, etc. in the overhead panel is pretty tough in 3D mode with Track IR. Another thing I haven't found an easy way to deal with is programming the FMC in 3D view.You know... what I'd really like is a hot key that I could press in 3D view that would pan the view from where you are currently looking to the overhead panel a…

Hi everybody, I took the plunge and bought the fantastic 747. Just like the 737 series I want to use my Go-Flight equipment with this new plane. So far it goes quite well, most functions can be assigned to keystrokes via the PMDG drop-down menu, and the throttle quadrant works perfect, including flap lever and speedbrakes.My main problem are the light switches on the overhead panel. In the 737 series I have assigned 7 Go-flight toggle switches to panel/landing/taxi/nav/strobe/beacon/wing lights, with aid of the GF-config program. In the 737 this works flawlessly, however in the 747 I can't get these toggle switches to work. Also the lights can't be mapped to a keystroke, …

Can someone explain to me why it is necessary to update Airac and Sid and Star files for the PMDGNG 737 since the FS9 environment is static?Thanks,Irv Strongin

Hi guys and girls, First off i would like to say thanks to the pmdg team for a wonderfull aircraft it truly makes flightsim "AS REAL AS IT GETS".My problem is with the autopilot when selecting a desired altitude in the autopilot box and a good vertical speed the autopilot completely ignores the command to capture an altitude with the disered vertical speed and goes past the altitude with erratic vert speed commands.Its alomst like the autopilot is turned off, check my screen shot of the problem note the red boxes.Apart from that i havent tested anything else so will post anmore problems if i find any.PaulNew Zealand

Dear Sirs,I've been getting a bizzare anomaly with the 744:Upon landing at my destination airport, with a/c perfectly trimmed, for landing, and upon touchdown, I receive an FMC message displaying - "END OF ROUTE" but I also get "FUEL DISAGREE-PROG2". I check page 2, and there it is, a large discrepancy from the TOTALIZER and the CALCULATED fuel numbers. During flight, TOTALIZER and CALCULATED are well within the acceptable parameters of (I think) under 5 percent. BUT, upon landing, the discrepancy is huge.Can anyone help? This is happening on most of my flights.Thanks anyone!Tom-Jim

I am not alone in this I am sure, but in the 73 series, at night, I find reading and operating the 2d panel very difficult. When the panel lights are on, only the numbers in the guages light up and not the panel itself. Perhaps there is a way to lighten the textures? Has anyone done this already? I have tried searching avsim without success.

I have a question about the chronograph...I scoured the manual but couldn't find reference to it anywhere and I was wondering if it's possible to change the time and date? I accidentally found out it can pause the sim by clicking madly on all the switches....I doubt that is the preferred method, it's just the one that worked for me...

I was wondering how to enter waypoint coordinates on the 747 FMC.What I mean by waypoint coordinates is not the actual location of a waypoint, but using an actual coordinate as a waypoint, like on trans-oceanic flights. Like how would I enter N56* 0.00' W20* 0.00'?Thanks in advance. :D

Hello.The flight is from EDDF to VRMM. After Waypoint GOLEM near to ESMIT (westbound) suddenly the altimeter take me to FL690 and above! It take a moment to stabilice the flight (crash and other detection has take to off). If I have a look at the map in FS9 it shows me: Altitude 34589. Hm? Maybe this is helping the programmers: Real weather (one time) is ON. When i choose 'Normal weather' at this circumstances --> 10sec. to FL340 and trying to stabilice!Thank youPatrick

Dear All:Is there a way to actually control the cabin altitude in the 737 NG? If so, what specifically do I "turn" or "push" to change the value of the cabin Altitude? Also, can I get this value to actually appear on the lower EICAS?Thanks.Chris Catalano

Is there a way to display information on the lower EICAS in the 737 NG. I thought I used to be able to do this, but ever since I switched styles in the drop down menu to the "stacked" style, I can't seem to get any info to display on the lower EICAS. Currently, I have ALL the info on the upper - N1, EGT, N2, HYD & Oil Pressure, Vibration, etc. Can I still display info on the lower EICAS? If so, how? Also, what can I get to display on the lower EICAS that is DIFFERENT from the info I currently have on the upper EICAS?Thanks.Chris Catalano

Yesterday, I finished a 4 hour real simulator training event in the 737NG-700. Previously, I had 3 hours last month in the same simulator and it was again an awesome adventure. This was all made possible by the PMDG 737NG software development team and the beta testers who have spent an enormous amount of time in it's development. I can assure all of you after the 4 hour episode that this software is as close to the real aircraft and it's systems as possible. This time I mostly flew manually using the FD instead of the A/P & A/T which I did back in November, to get more of the real feel for the aircraft. Greetings:Having a little trouble getting the 1900C to rotate on takeoff. I pull back at around 105 knots but it takes several seconds of heavy back pressure before the nose will come off the ground. Everything else seems normal.Thanks,crf

Looks like it's been stuck in LAX since December 12'th. All the good boys and girls didn't get their present delivery for XMas.Not much of a Polar freighter, is it? :)Maybe it will get a repaint and become the SOLAR Express and release for summer?
