Hi !I've heard that it should be possible to get Wingviews on the 747 with Active Camera.Can somebody please describe exactly how to get those Views? Or has anybody a saved view Configuration in Active Camera for me?I would Appreciate that.Thanks in Advance.Chris

I've just received my Aerosoft CD with the Beech 1900C and D and installed both models.On the D some gauges are missing from both the 2D and VC panels and on the C all gauges are missing from both panels.I've uninstalled and reinstalled the aircraft 3 or 4 times with the same result. I would manually install the gauges but the CD has everything bundled in an autoinstaller.Anybody else had this problem or got any ideas? Anybody from PMDG want to ring in on this?ThanksBill

Hi allI bought 747-400 , it is great but i have a problem, when i lunch FS and select fly now the PFD and NV and EICAS appear only for ten seconds and then go for good , how can solve this problem?Alex

Yesterday when flying the 744, I instructed the plane to climb to FL320 but I kept getting an error in my FMC saying something like "MAX ALT FL246", and the plane wouldn't climb above that. Is this something to do with the fact that I forgot to arm autothrottle?Thanks...

On the LEGS page the Flight Plan shows a cruising altitude of 29,000 ft.While ascending towards that height a message is received on the FMC that the maximum altitude should be 24,000 ft.I normally then input the new Flight Level at each waypoint. On a long flight with numerous waypoints this can take some considerable time.Is there a way of entering the 24,000 ft just once of some other page?Cliff

I've just installed a very nice repaint of the Qantas "Yananyi Dreaming"but when I went to fly it there was no VC.Can I add VC through the Aircraft.cfg and if so how, or is there more to it than that?Thanks in Anticipation,

Hey guys, question? Do I still need to match the AIRAC and SID/STAR numbers for the FMC to work EG: AIRAC 13...PMDG SID/STAR 13. If so I cannot find any new SID/STAR Pro for the PMDG 737. I looked all over. It used to be updated on the PMDG download site, the most current SID/STAR is 0510 on the(PMDG)web site...what am i missing? And I've got a couple of queries... firstly, I followed the instructions in the manual and set up the suggested key combination for the stairs... but nothing happens... am I missing anything? At the gate, door open, engines off, apu running with power on..? Also, I'm toying with the idea of converting the fuel preparation/planning bits in the manual into a spreadsheet to do my fuel planning - but I'm missing a vital bit of info - what would be a reasonably accurate basic operating weight to start with? Alternatively, can anyone suggets a rady-made fuel planner for this aircraft? I've not had it long but have to say it's looking good.Ian

Hi folks.I tried saving a situation with dark/cold cockpit and fuel cutoff levers down; but when loading that saved flight levers are still on and i have to cutoff fuel as a part of the cockpit preparation routine. Is that normal?I had same problem with 600/700 early release but after v1.3 the problem was solved. Now again.......Thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)

Couple of questions here!IS it true for fuel planning purposes you do not need to put an alternate airport in if your flight is less than 6hrs??If not then how many alternates do you need? One that is a descent distance from the arrival airport as fog or whatever maybe in that whole area? How do people normally calculate this?In the 737-700 how much fuel at low altitudes does the 737 burn per hour? Any real world pilots know this one? Just trying to do some planning you see!!What cruise speed does the 700 series cruise at in TAS/ KIAS??I think that is it for now!!Thanks in advanceMark P

I was just planning a flt from KDTW 2 KSEA and wanted to use the PMM SID using 3L.I am unsure how to program this SID in the FMC.When goto DEP/ARR there are no SIDS for KDTW.I went to the sid/star folder under pmdg and saw a slew of files I think they are the AIRAC 0513 for the PMDG737/NG.So my question is how do I get the SIDS to display in the FMC.If I select ARR for KDTW or KSEA the STARS are there.I want to program 2 fix points which are part of the PMM SID using 3L.If there is another way to program this please let me know.ThanksAndy

hi!shouldn't be a message generated like in the subject if I re-select the flap configuration for takeoff? today I've selected 20 and clicked on all the v-speeds. after that I corrected the flap config to 10, new speeds were generated but no message that the "old" speeds were deleted.is it normal?cheers and a happy new year!Rob

Hello!!Happy New Year to begin with...I couldn't find this problem/question with the 737 NG anywhere so here I go...When I touch the airbrakes by accident they do not go retract back again completely with the result I have to descent e.g. from FL350 till FL310 otherwise my indicated speed drops dramatically. (to 210)If I have a look outside the aircraft, I indeed see the airbrakes are extracted just a little. When I extract and retrack them the result is unchanged. Good Day,I am having trouble with the sounds supplied with the 737-600 series. I cannot hear the engines on startup,landing gear retraction, etc. All I hear in all views is the sound of the recirc fan and electrics on the overhead.Can anyone out there please help. It would be most appreciated.Cheers

Hi, and thanks for your great 737 series.I noticed a strange thing using your 737 800/900 aircraft.I set up all preflight with route, weight, flaps config and i get the 3 VSpeeds by pressing the right buttons on the FMC.All is set properly but... When i start run for takeoff (with TO/GA as always) i reach V1 and VR... try to pull up the nose but the plane just doesn't takeoff! I have to wait about 4/5 more seconds from VR to let it get airborne... at almost the end of the runway.This happens with 737 800/900 only, no problem at all with 737NG.Am i the only one with this annoying problem? :(Thanks in advance.

When I pull my joystick in 747-400, the big sound start, like as crash or demage a struture, I don't know, but the plane no warning light, nothing.The big continuos crash sound, only appear when I pull or push the plane.Help

Currently on a flight, upto the stage of reaching equivalence in the tanks, got the upper EICAS tank/eng message, so did the usual. Was fine.About 10 mins later up pops a Caution and X FEED CONFIG. I look at the EICAS shows that I have 9.1, 9.1, 9.3, 9.1 in the tanks, feeding tank to engine. I switched back on the x-feeds, and overide pumps and I get the TANK/ENG message again, so I go back to tank/eng config and get an alert with X FEED CONFIG again.Any ideas?First flight with the patch, its amazing btw, really smooth now and just awesome.

Sorry for the ignorance, but what does HEAVY mean when refering to a plane? Just wondering because I hear other pilots on Vatsim calling this out when they give their callsigns. Was just wondering what determines whether or not a plane is deamed a "heavy". Thanks.-Adam Harmon

Whenever I try o start the PMDG 747-400 I get the message:"can't find file GaugesPMDG_747400_Main.gau but when I check in the gauges file, there i is! Upon getting this message, my computer is totally frozen and I have to use the reset button to restart it. Any theories?I did post this question on 2 Jan 2oo5, A.L.
