What do you guys use to formulate your flight routes for the PMDG FMC for the 747-400 and 737 NG from airport to airport? Is there a website or a program that will automatically give you the route names? I used to use a program that did it and put it into the PMDG formate, and you just had to open saved flight plans and there it was. I lost all my data, and that program as well! any suggestions? Thanks so muchGrant

Hi I read on PMDG's website that if your have the 737 it has to instaled before the 747. My question is that I have the 737 (600/700 base pack)already installed in FS2K2 and I want/need to put the 747 in my FS9 installation. Will this work ok ?MTIASteve

I have a question, in my flightplan for the 747-400 there is a change in speed and altitude that happens at a certain way point. I have both LNAV and VNAV set to on but the aircraft will not change its speed or increase its altitude to that stated in the FMC, but instead remains at its original alititude from the waypoint before. For example at waypoint 2321N the aircraft is supposed to be at .855/FL390, but instead it remains at .844/FL350. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Rob & PMDG Team - I saw the announcement on the AVSIM Main page regarding the boxed release of the Queen. The last item listed states "- Printed manual". When I review the listed features on the Aerosoft site it states - "This unique product comes currently with an extensive electronic manual in the form of pdf files on harddisk after installation with detailed information about flying an airliner. "Is there a printed manual in the boxed version?Regards,Bob Lyddy

Is anyone else having a case of vanishing drop down menu when flying in Windows mode (with Map, PMDG, Options, etc... visable)? Alt/Enter doesn't bring them up again and where they used to be is now black. It's an odd problem, has anyone else seen this? Thanks,

Hello All,I've often seen contrails emanating from the tail of an aircraft;http://www.airliners.net/open.file/981369/L/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/590207/L/I've seen particularly large ones once or twice usually coming out of Airbus aircraft. Is it cabin air or maybe a running APU?Many Thanks for any information.Paul :-)

Hello to all of you fellow simmers and a very happy new year (first of all)! While I was flying my 747 yesterday, I thought I'd take a walk through the VC, to check on my passengers ;-), and came across with the idea, to try to compile a list with ALL clickable spots in the Virtual cockpit and cabin. The AOM PMDG has refers to some clickspots, but there are way more than just these. So, here is a small list with the clickspots I found in the VC:2x rudder pedal adjust, behind the joke1x ACARS printer button, on the bottom right of the pedestral4x lumbar adjust, on each seat4x sun shade, two on each side of the cockpit3x adjust lamp, the little red ones1x the little thing, t…

I've seen several postings about the possible use of shift+E, 2 to open rear and cargo doors. Like many of you I can't get this to work. Imagine my delight to find that the FSCrew FO opened them for me. Unfortuanetly this was in flight. Seems to be linked to one of the check lists.I have found a suggested fix (guage on main panel) in the forum, which hopefully the PMDG team will take on board.Meanwhile has any one found a way of controlling the rear and cargo doors?Andy

After a great landing and all looks and sounds OK I find that in "replay" the reverse thrust does not display. The "buckets" and forward slats just slightly pulse but do not open and there is no sound of the reverse thrust at all.(??) The rest, including speedbrakes, displays ok.Any hints? Thanks! Dave

I've looked thru the manual and searched the board but I don't see any reference to this. I was doing a long haul YSSY to KLAX, with 1000lbs left in the center tank I switched the pump off. I noticed that even with the center tank pump switched off it continued to drain. Is the center tank gravity drained, or is this an FS limitation? Thanks in advance!!

First paragraph, right column says: "Additionally, in level flight, 30REF+100 provides minimum drag and best fuel economy for a non-cruise environment." Maybe this is a misprint or I'm missing something, but to me level flight is a cruise environment, regardless of time length. Or, if 30REF+30 is best drag/fuel ratio in level flight, then it is also the same in a cruise environment. ??Thankslouross.

I think that it would be nice if PMDG looked at all airlines in the world and gave them relevent aircraft the correct livery, also they should look at military veriations (e.g. Air Force One) for the 747.also can anyone give me info on how to contact PMDG?

I've been flying the LDS 767-300 for quite some time now and think I have the 763 down pretty good. I recently purchased the 747-400. I have found 2 differences in behavior between the 767 & 747. The first difference I am having a problem with is as follows: if the 767 is climbing to cruise and ATC assigns a temporary altitude that is lower than the cruise alt, upon reaching the MCP (lower) alt, the 767 switches from VNAV to Alt Hold and the speed window pops open. When ATC assigns the higher altitude, I simply put the higher alt in the MCP and press VNAV & the speed window closes and the 76 climbs to the higher alt. I've noticed this is NOT the behavior on the 74…

Hi Guys,Happy New Year! I've been flying the -400 package quite lately. Good job! I've been taking it on short to medium hauls lately and last night (while waiting for the clock to strike 12) I took it on a long-haul flight from Manila to Los Angeles. As you all know, one major factor on these flights is the winds aloft which greatly reduce the total NAM flown - decreasing ETE and more importantly Fuel-Burnoff. After making all calculations for the flight and loading the fuel, the FMC still displays "insufficient fuel" because I was unable to input the winds aloft data on the LEGS page. (Winds that day were a sustained 150kt tailwind). Anyway, I loaded a bit more fuel …

The Auto Throttle switch on the MCP of the 737NG series will not respond to the button on my CH Productd yoke dedicated to the A/T keybord assignment of Shift+R....this button arms and disarms the A/T switch on the default Boeing 737. It's a little awkward when landing not having the use of the button on the yoke respond to disarming the A/T. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? Thanks,Irv Strongin

HI, Is anyone here a talented FS aircraft painter? I have the 737-800/900 and would really like an Air New Zealand livery like the one shown below for the 737-800/900.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/137652.jpgThere isn't an Air New Zealand livery in the PMDG's downloads section, and if any painters could have a go at reproducing this 737-200 livery onto the 737-800/900, i would be delighted to hear from you.
