Gents,I myself have posted this topic before (just two answers), and have seen many more. The trouble is that it is getting annoying...Flying from Stockholm to Paris CHG. Clear skies, real weather from FS9.After leveling at FL 360, exactly over Denmark, it started: speed (through VNAV)and ALT could not be kept, at all. Speed would jump to .988 MACH(!), than drop to .620, and the stick started that terrible noise. After very slowly returning to proper speed, the same would happen. Is the G/A switch on the 737 600-800 located on the throttle quandrant? And is it activated by pushing it or clicking it with your mouse control? Is there any other was to activate it? Simple question I know but cannot seem to find the answer in the manuals.TksRichard Churchill

I know this has probably been asked a hundred or more times but perhaps someone can explain to me is how do you fly the 747/737's with ATC? I've always flown with flightplans made within FS9 and communicated with ATC following takeoff and approach instructions. I have CD versions of both the 600/700 and 800/900 ng.After numerous attempts to install them together, I am having real problems.I got it to work once but it was by fluke and I can't get it to work again.I have tried to install the 6 first then the 8 and vice versa but I still have problems with crashes and black gauges.Removing the FSUIPC.DLL worked once but doesn't work anymore.None of the updates will install so I don't think this has anything to do with it.Sometimes, the gauges work and then, when I change view, they go back to being black again.Any ideas?Thanks a lot.

My son has recently bought PMDG 737-800, but he is frustrated because he can't get to see the GPS. There isn't an icon for it in the cockpit.Isn't there a FS9 command to get straight to the GPS ? I have looked in FS9 help but can't see it.

Hi all,I am hoping there is a real world pilot or anyone that can help me with the full procedure to planning for the 737-700 or 737 series from arriving at the airport going through the whole procedure, ie what charts do you check for this type and select? I think it is called the reference handbook for derates, rwy lengths etc etc, fuel planning etc......... weather etc...I have no found anywhere where a pilot has gone through this in detail for this type?!!ThanksMark

Im very excited about the new RR/PW engine indications, opens up alot of my favorite airlines. im pretty sure of the answer to this question, because knowing PMDG, they do something either all the way or not at all. but just to make sure, did you guys make seperate engine performance models for the RB211 and PW4000? or did you just make it that when you pick a RR or PW plane it will still use the GE engine model and display EPR? once again, im pretty sure of the answer, but i just want to make sure. thanksadam

I just had a flight sim crash of weather.dll using the 747. This is the first time I have gotten such an error, and the first time for an fs crash in about a year and a half. I was flying over the Hudson Bay in Norther Canada, about 7 hours into the flight when this happened. This error occured recently after installing a patch for ASV6. Logically I thought this would be the culprit, I E-mailed the company and was told ASV6 has nothing to do with weather.dll. So my question is, Could PMDG have anything to do with this problem? Hello everybody,after many good flights in the PMDG 737 I have bought the PMDG 747 boxed version. But now I have a big problem.After Cockpit-preperation and FMC-preperation (Flightplan with FSNavigator)I make the takeoff with armd VNAV, LNAV, FD on, both AT. I pressed the screw TO/GA. But after aktivate the AP, the plane climb with 4000 ft or more, the speed goes near STALL, after passing the altitude, the plane climbs higher. Pressing the Altitude-Hold-button - no reaktion. I am not that (visually) impressed by the PSS 777 and although Feelthere's 777 looks very promising visually, the systems will probably not be as accurately modeled as the PMDG 747. I wonder though whether PMDG will develop a 777 in the near future, given the fact that already 2 other developers have produced one. Btw, did anyone notice what happened to the 767 from Captain Sim? I used to be in the preview section, but it's gone now. I wonder whether they abondoned the project due to the great success of Level-D 767.Dirk

Hi All,I am having an issue with my 747-400 which I cannot seem to cure, I had'nt flown it for a while, it used to perform fine, but now this problem keep recurring, I hope its just a simple configuration, user issue, but I have search all the docs, and the forum too.After taking off, at about 5000ft, all of a sudden I will get an yellow EICAS warning saying autothrottle disconect for a brief second, then the fmc message warning, I look on the FMC which states "MAX ALT FL243", after this has happened, the AT wont re-engage.The PFD shows no AT mode, the AT switch or related buttons, THR or SPD have no effect, the AT just wont engage, when you turn the AT switch off you get…

There is a lot of talk about RNAV/GPS approaches and how they are more precise and independent than ILS approaches. Therefore I was wondering to what extent the PMDG 737 and 747 do model this. If it is modeled, how do I fly them? Assuming that I have my flightplan including the STAR and all the speed and altitude constraints properly programmed in the FMC, do I just leave LNAV and VNAV on until I touch down? Since I am really not ready to starting making and flying complex flightplans with the fmc, I want to start by just travelling to whereever I want without the help of flight plan creating in fmc so I merged the GPS into the 747 panel and I started the whole plane perfectly, took off without any problems other than not engaging a flight plan, then I turned on the AP to the plane can steadily climb itself to 10000 feet. When turning autopilot on, I am not able to properly turn the plane, with it off, there is no problem.This works in others planes but why not in the pmdg 747? Please help

Is there texture error fixed? :-hmmm The right stabilizer should load Wing_T.bmp. But this small part load the "PMDG_VC_TWO_T.bmp"It's interrupt me for a while. Hi:I've been through all my different PMDG 737 tutorials/manuals (stacks) and have not found the answer I was looking for. I know this has been discussed numerous times in the past but I cannot find it anywhere so please don't ball me out for it.I have no problem setting up the FMC for a flight. I can get everything to operate as it should except that crazy A/T switch. Just before I taxi on to the active runway, I try to "arm" the A/T and the light below just flashes red (meaning disengaed...right?).I know this means that I have not set something up right or definitely doing something wrong. Everytime, I'm at the hold-short line, engines are at idle but no matter what…
