I posted a few days ago about a problem i was having with the 747 LNav and I still can't get it to work. Here is a screenshot of my panel and I was clicking LNav from a bit before that point up to that point. My plane is right near the waypoint so there is no reason why it shouldn't engage LNav: http://mattsorce.com/panel.bmpWhy is LNav not engaging? There is no message in the FMC either so I don't have a clue why it doesn't work.

Hello there,I have been getting to grips with the PMDG 737 aircraft and i have to say it is awesome. Through all the various tutorials and such i have just about got to grips with the fmc too.My question is concerning SID/STARS. I'm unsure as to which one to choose on the fmc. When i pick a runway to depart from i get a list of different SIDS. Which one is best to choose? Is there anywhere to view them?Same goes for STARS? Which one do i choose? I also get the extra option of a transition? Whats that?Thanks.

Hi!For me, sound is a very important element for realism in FS. Although the original PMDG sounds for 737NG sounds are acceptable, I am looking for better sounds.The ARIANA sound package looks promising, from the desription of the seller and some rumours I heard regarding it. Hi again,How do you get the work VNAV button,i make a flight plan then take off but when i click on VNAV does not work FMC says VNAV Disconnect, am i missing something? LNAV works fine it will engage.

I have the boxed version of the PMDG 737 800/900 and I would like to now if I also get two printed manuals with the Queen as I did for the 737NG? One of them was a FMC manual. Maybe the Queen has identical FMC to the 737NG and therefore an identical printed manual?If not how much does the 737NG and Queen FMC differs? Can I use what I have learnt about the 737NG FMC in the Queen?Jan Friberg

First of all, is this allowed?Okay, since PMDG made the 736/737/738/739 I thought they should make the 731/732/733/734/735 ! I would like it so PMDG has all the 737s. I don't like Wilco.

Had a question about the 747...it seems to take off like a rocket down the runway....I'm reaching 80 knots in just a few seconds, maybe 3 or 4....that doesn't seem right, it feels like it's entirely too quick...has anyone else been experiencing this? I have it fully loaded by the way...thanksRick Ryan

I am using the PMDG 747-400 I want to do an IFR flight from EGPH (Edinburgh) to EGLL (Heathrow). I have found a route on http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ and it was "EGPH SID DCS UN615 HON STAR EGLL". I then found the 'TLA 5G' SID - http://www.ais.org.uk/aes/pubs/aip/pdf/aer...es/32PH0602.PDF and the 'BNN 3A STAR - http://www.ais.org.uk/aes/pubs/aip/pdf/aer...es/32LL0702.PDF 1) I then entered DCS UN615 HON into the FMC and chose the SID from the Dep/Arr page and i flew the SID fine. However after the SID, the route discontinued and i don't know why. Anyone know why, am i entered the route wrong? 2) Also, i was wondering if you enter the STAR into the FMC or whether you fl…

Hi all, just a quick question.. how do i change to QNH on the B373 600/700, I have clicked on the EFIS control panel and tried to change it but I can't, it's a nitemare when flying using sb3! Any suggestions?When I'm asking... i wonder if anyone knows whether it's worth me uprading to the PMDG B737 800/900? Hi Guys having been away from the Virtual flt seen for 2yrs Im retraining off line on the new (Great )PMGD 747 planes. In 1998 I bought EFIS98 which showed you how to load a flt plan into the FMC.Question.. can any one point me in the right direction for a manual as I have long forgotten how, and the demo flt from KLAX Cold & Darkdoes not explain how one can change runways from the original flt planLOL... ATC always picks a different run way, to the one in my flt plan I can create a plan in fsnav and Export it to PMGD's FMC but I cant edit the speeds or ILS settings..PS>> I read VATSIM ATC still having problems with pilots that dont behave like they should....…

I am extremely satisfied with the 747-400 product. I would love to see a 747 classic version with full steam guage cockpit. Hopefully I'm not the only one who has asked for this.Kevin

In my experience the 744 crashes EVERYTIME I attempt to land OR takeoff off from Innsbruck (LOWI). Im not sure if its the surface of the runway thats the problem, but I cannot get the big bird to over 100kts without a "CRASH" occuring.It happens in all three engine variants and only in the PMDG747-400.Just wondered if it was a universal problem or just me?Thanks to anyone who can help. Its not like I plan on flying to LOWI everyday I just wonder why it wont let me land or takeoff?ThanksPaul.

If I shut down all four engines in flight or otherwise disable all hydraulic sources, the hydraulic pressure does drop to ~40psi. The flight controlls seem to be unaffected by this. Is this intentional?Edit: The control surface animations stop moving, and the controls get a little sluggish, but they still work quite well.I thought they would be completely dead?- Kevin

Hi,Since Robert stated in the 30JAN news flash about -400F specific options. Does the FMC has the capability to enter Ballast fuel?Is the STAB TANK removed? Do we have temp. controllers for all the individual cargo decks/compartments? These are pretty much the question I had on my mind.

Hello,it occured to me that the logic behind aircraft performance as published in its manual, and my understanding of aircraft performance are inconsistent, and am asking for anyone knowledgeable in this area to explain, here is the issue:1. According to the manual, V1 increases as TOGW increases. This contradicts my understanding that the runway distance for accelerate-stop would increase with increasing TOGW, thereby, for a finite runway, V1 should decrease with increasing TOGW.2. Exactly the same with altitude and ambient temperature.I would appreciate any input.

Finally I press LSK1R to LSK3R to get v1,vr and v2 (eg. 141kn) in bold letters. So, do I enter the displayed v2 (141kn)into the MCP IAS/MACH or do I enter the "v2+10" (151kn)?2. Is there a "secret" way to enter data into the CDU-scratchpad by using the keyboard.
