Yesterday i flew my first IFR flight on VATSIM in my PMDG 747-400. However i have two issues about the flight.I flew from EGPG to EGLL using route DCS UN615 HONI entered the route into the FMC and then i was given the DCS1C departure by EGPH tower. Thereofre i entered the sid into the FMC and the flight ran smoothly up until the approach. I was switched to the EGLL approach frequency and the controller told me to fly direct to BNN. However, there was now a 'no active route' FMC message but i now needed to fly to BNN. 1) how would i now enter the BNN waypoint into the FMC so that the autoplito would fly me to BNN?2) For example, if i manually took off and flew to 10,000ft …

I often see "NO TDZ" in yellow in the PFD (just below the altimeter tape). What does that mean? Is it related to the approach / landing phase of flight?Andy Scholes.

I get this error or shut down message rather and the MCI both processes will not shut down properly, Yes i do have the latest V1.1 747 version? EDIT Also only happens with the 747 flights and when i use the save features!Any advice?

just wondering if the update will enable me to use my go flight throttle units flap lever...the original 747 did not

Does the fuel loader follow the AD for the 744 center fuel tank? I noticed in the AD that the stab tank in no longer used also. I forget the amount of fuel to be left in the center tank but on the 737 it is about 3,000 lbs.Ray

maybe this has been discussed b4 but i didnt find so sry if am repeating an old topic but...when to use flap 25 and when flap 30 postion on an approach? I read that flap 25 is the normal postion and 30 is used under certain condition but what are these conditions? btw u guys made a marvellous plane its a really pleasure to fly it cuz its so #### realistic!

Hi, after following Precisionmanual instructions on FMC programming I am not able to reach a 'pre-flt complete' situation on FMC.I remain in a pre-flt situation and even if I read both tutorial (in french and the other one listed many times in this forum I can't understand where is my error.POS ok, ZFW, reserves ok, cost index ok, trip/crz-alt ok, ref airpt ok, route ok with no discont.. all valdate and exec, v1-vr-v2 confirmed, flaps ok, rw and sid ok, perf-init page seems ok, n1 limit page ok, takeoff page okLNAV doesn't engageThanks in advance,Maurizio Balvetti

Flying along in the Queen down the western U.S. this afternoon, I observed that at some point when it was approaching sunset, the terrain in FS spontaenously decided to reload just like that, out of the blue. It was most bizarre. Suddenly after the re-load, which took about 5 seconds, I found myself flying along the same heading in twilight, the sky textures having changed by about half an hour forwards in the process toward night. I had observed once or twice long ago in the PMDG NG that a strange thing like this occurred with textures or terrain. HI! I remember seeing a post right after the V1.1 release of the PMDG 747, about the manual being updated to include the new changes made.The answer was suggested that it would be worked on but it would be awhile.I would like to know if the manual has been updated yet? Or if not is there an idea when that would be completed.The reason I ask this, is I just ordered the PMDG 747 from PC aviator and look forward to flying the QOS, and I don't want to print out the manual just yet till it's updated.I know the CD version comes with a manual but I guess it's not as detailed as the online manual, but I can use this in the mean time.Any info on this would be appreciated.Thanks,Sc…

Hey guys,I'm kinda lost as to when the SID/STAR files are updated and also where would I find the latest updates. I used the link for the SID/STAR's on the PMDG page but it's still the same one I have installed already. I know that the date is not corrected like it mentioned in the readme file but I think I'm lost.Can someone let me know when the files are updated and where to get them. I read the notice about the AIRAC cycles not being updated for awhile. If that information is not public anymore, how are the new AIRAC's going to be done.I appreciate the help and replies. Thanks for the update Robert. Looking forward to seeing what PMDG has in store for us in regards to the future. I personally (so don't flame me anyone) would love to see you guys give the A320 with both the IAE and CFM variants a go even though I know Airbus will not help.About the MD11, thats great to hear about the pax and cargo versions. Hopefully you guys will paint up some previous MD11 users such as Delta.

HelloCan anyone please tell me how I can save the FMC data that I have input when I save the flight using MSFS2004? The flight is saved and when loaded places the plane at the end of the runway where it was saved. However, the FMC contains no data and it has all to be re-inputted. As I tend to make a lot of flying errors and need to start over and over again this is driving me crazy. Thank you in advanceSkylark

Hello. I bought ASV6 recently and learned that I can import .pln-based flight plans into it to have the weather processed all along the planned route. Unfortunately, I can't import any of the PMDG flight plans into ASV6 because they are .rte2 formatted.Does anyone know an efficient way to copy/convert those plans to FS9 native .pln so I can get AS to "see" them for importing? That way I can get the flight plan route's weather processed AND upload the same route into the 744's FMC.I guess a related question/issue I have is whether there is a repository of extra .rte plans I can download somewhere for use in the 744. HelloCan someone please tell me how I can save the FMC entries when I save a flight using the PMDG 737NG in MS2004? The flight location etc is saved and the plane is set up at the end of the runway but there is no data in the FMC. Having to load the data each time I mess things up - which is often - is driving me crazy. Help.ThanksSkylark

I have to ask for some help. Usually you folks here are so mean here that I cant get an understandable answer, but here goes anyway since I did pay for a product and this is where I am directed for support. Just a simple question. I understand that to use the FMC to its best advantage, I should update the nav info. The links from the PMDG website take me to a Navdata site and really just dump me there without an explanation of what to do next. I have a two monitor set-up and with the PMDG 747 I am able to open and close the overhead panel on the second monitor after assigning the function to a keystroke (apologies if my terminolgy is incorrect) but I cannot close the overhead panel on the 737 in the same way. I have to use the mouse in order to do it.Does anyone know of a clever workaround for this problem usinf FSUIpc or otherwise.ThanksRenzo

Just wondering, are there not going to be auto anti-ice switches? I would think that the models that have digital MCPs also would have auto-anti ice switches.No big deal, just hoping this is an option for the freighter.Looking forward to its release whenever it is ready.Thank you
