I was recently thinking about the 744F and I was wondering if someone with some knowledge about this aircrafts operations might be able to answer a question. I was wondering what the passenger cabin on the freighter is typically used for? Do they bring along attendants for the pilots? Does a second crew come along to keep the pilots refreshed? Are there any cargo airlines that have no seats installed and the space is used for other reasons? Just wondering? Any knowledge would be appreciated, thanks.

Hello guysi set up a a flight today. when i was on the ground and set up the FMC, i put Fl350 for CRZ, everything was good untill about Fl180 i check FMCand OPT ALT=Fl360 and MAX ALT = Fl404, if i remember correctly, so i changed the CRZ level to FL370, the suddenly had a message on FMC saying MAX ALT 293!!!! tried it second time 2 seconds later FMC message MAX ALT 335, tried it for 3rd time and it was all alright, changed FL350 to FL370...Any ideas guys?thanks very much in advance.

I just purchased the 747-400. I mostly use FSBuild 2.2 to make my flightplans, because FSBuild exports them wherever you want...or almost like FSNav, Squawkbox3, LEVEL-D. It also exports into the PMDG 737, 777 and 757.I suppose that FSBuild does not yet support the PMDG 747-400. Is there another possibility or program to import Flightplans into the 744 FMC? Does any of the other PMDG Planes ( 737,777.757 ) have a different FMC as the Queens one?Thanks

G'day all wll firstly 747-400 is agreat plane i'm buying the freighter as soon as it comes out however i'm gettin a few fuel issues, i've flown afew flights from sydney hong kong and singapore etc, 4500nm flights and i'm only landing with 5000pounds of fuel left, i can't understand it, i set fuel to max, and also pax lightest, flyin at 390, i have downloaded latest patches also. any ideas with it, i'm always setting cost index on fmc to 5 and reserves to 5, that may be wrong also. and the above always happens wether flyin into the wind or downind. there'd be no chance of me getting to honolulu without a stop and that's only 6000nm. reason i ask is in the manual specs sa…

OK.. Now that I have learned to fly the 747... I am thinking.. I should dust off my PMDG 737NG that was sent to the hanger since I bought it a while ago.But I hate to uninstall the 747 and reinstall it, just to install the 737NG.What options do I have? Is that the only option?thanks.Manny

I have a question on the AA livery available for download on your site. I thought AA prohibited commercial developers to include it's liveries in their commercial products, without formal AA permission and license to use it. That is why developers have left it up to the freeware community to provide them. Some sites, have gone as far as hosting user repaints of it, but until I saw it on your site, I haven't seen one by the commercial developer provided. (The download does say it's from PMDG). Do you have this license? If not, how are you getting around this restriction, without the potential legal problem AA has brung in the past? Has their position changed on this?? I o…

Twice now I've had the samme problem. I'm setup for final, A/T set with SPEED, APP, and three AP'S ON. as I try to reduce speed to VREF I've got 144 set in the speed window. Then the speed tape goes haywire, it drops all the way to 30kts then pops back to normal. Hi guys, if you are an owner of the QOS and the NG, should you re-install the NG over the QOS for proper functionality??I ask coz my NG has been behaving wierd lately. One small question is.... (I cant remember this before I had the queen) If you set your autobrakes on the NG to RTO, should it not reset itself to the off position once you are airbourne or is that indeed a manual task??ThanksJason

There is a shiny new -400F icon on the front page replacing the old world tour logo from before. Could this be a sign that the F is getting ready to launch? Who knows, but you can't help but wonder, or at least I can't.Anyway, I was just wondering if there is any chance that the airstairs might be compatible with the -400 pax version as well, for those rare occasion when you land in an airport without a compatible gate? Weird thing happened to me twice!I have a brand new PC and have not flown more than those two times.I have how ever looked at scenery and so on.I flew yesterday from Tel Aviv to Frankfurt, and had a go around while on manual approach, then on my second and instrument approach it crashed.It crashed when I went to spot view, to take screenshots, then the aircraft kinda blinked, then disapeared and I got a end program note...The error seems to be caused by a "d3d9.dll" which I found out, could indicate somekind of problem with DirectX...I am quite puzzled by this, but also a bit irritated, as I today had been flying for 8 hours...I do not blame PMDG, but maybe it is somethin…

Have a problem with the 747 at cruise.Speed keeps increasing. Everything looks ok and I don't know why it's doing it.To fix the problem, I have to disconnect the autothrottle, reduce power to idle, then re engage the autothrottle.Any ideas?Goran

Hi GuysI recently purchased the Ch Flight Yoke and Pedals and I am very happy with this product. I have been trying to assign the TOGA button to one of the flight yoke buttons using FS key assignment option as well as PMDG key assignment options but with no success. I do have a registered copy of FSUIPC as well. I have searched the forum but could not find any postings relating to TOGA and the CH Flight Yoke. Can anyone help with a procedure or best method of achieving this??:)

Hi all! I bought in the very early January this year the NG 800-900 enchancement and have been enjoying flying with it..Today I bought Active Sky6 and of course installed it.. I did not trigger with it too much and tested it with F1 Cessna.. ok.Then I tried 3 times to fly with Boeing 737 from PMDG. Every try ended in the end of the loading the flight with that beloved black screen.. and in every case the error message named a file "737ng-main.gau" (or sth like that) to be the guilty. After this I rebooted my machine and did a good flight with your 738 without running my brand new AS (as I was in hurry to be in scheduled time in VATSIM). Now.. I had AS6 running before star…

Hi I am new and I have a problem. When I try to increase the heading,speed,altitude,etc., I cannot get the "hand" shaped mouse with the +&- signs instead I get to arrows pointing in opposite directions and whenever I click it I can never get it to go up! All help is welcomed:-newbie
