Folks,I'm in the preliminary stages of writing up a VERY detailed flight tutorial that will hopefully provide a good way for new users to get comfy in the day-to-day use of the aircraft. I'm doing this to provide a step up for users who have mastered the very basics already using existing resources.The idea is that it will be a sort of mix of the forum knowledge and an actual flight. I hope to get some of the 'older/wiser heads' on the forum involved too, I will be in touch with those people soon.-----------------------So far I've settled on a few things.- It will be a return sector over the Atlantic. Hello,on every T/O after having retracted the gear, i get aGPWS warning "don't think, don't think".I admit that, yes, when this warning comes on, I startthinking about the cause instead of stop thinking, butI cannot help....How can I get rid off that. Would someone explain to me the procedure for dumping fuel ,with the possibility of screen shots please.<747Next question IE. If you where flying the 737/700 from yssy to ymhb & had to divert to melbourne for example,,how do you delete the existing flight plan ?,,i understand you cannot add another flight plan mid flight.I just want to be able to get access to melbournes arrival "stars & runways". Anyone know the Cost Index used by Delta in their 738s?Also, I've noticed on my last few flight with the NG, I don't have any rudder authority. I have to turn the Yaw Damper off, which isn't realistic, to x-wind land. Any ideas?Thanks

Does anyone know if the B1900D has a to/ga button to push after activating the flight director? I can't seem to find it. I suspected it would operate as some other AC bringing the artifical wings up to the rotation angle to be met.Thanks!Roger

I have read most of the guides about the FMC. I was doing a flight the other night from Reno to Las Vegas. Everything was well until I got a intercept course from departure. ATC made me miss my first waypoint to intercept my route. I tried to intercept using the LNAV but the aircraft kept wanting to do a 180 to intercept the first waypoint. I was fored to use the hdg select to fly to LAS. How do I tell the aircraft to cycle to the next aswell as the autotune feature on the radios? ThanksWilliam E.

Hi all,I have read the forum notes on the 747 CTD problems. Not sure if this one will help or if you can solve it. I have only just bought this aircraft so I think I have the lastest installer.Here we go,I start FS, load FS standard 747-400 (awfull) load my flight plan, weather (real world (NOT static)) and hit fly now. Once all is up and running, I then change to the Queen. During the setting up, my PC will freeze and the only option is it hit the reset button, re-booting and starting again.Now I think I have solved the above. I changed the real world weather settings to STATIC, and no more problems...... Until now.I have just compleated a short flight from Dublin to Bir…

The last 3 flights with the PMDG 737-700 that I did all had the same problem. At 200 AGL the aircraft would go nose up and will not come back down making me miss the RWY everytime. This happens on ILS and on Vis with the autopilot on. Everything is set right on the NAV radios and FMC and I am not hitting the GA button but thats what it seems like it's doing, going around. Anyone have any solutions? Everything worked fine before and then I had to reinstall it and every since then I have had this problem. Thanks for the help!

Hi,Can't wait for the 744F and I have a quick question regarding flap extension times. I've noticed that going to flap 5 takes a long time (ages) however this time does not match that of PS1. In fact there's a reasonable/noticeable difference. My question is why? Perhaps a PS1 user knows the answer?Thanks,Paul

I have the 1900C and fly it occasionally. Is there a benefit in getting the 1900D; is it an upgrade to the PMDG 1900C? What's the PMDG difference? Thanks!

since the bleedsystem usage is not described well enough in the manual I though why not asking the 744 community so here are my questions: 1. Pack reset - what is that good for? and when to use it?2. same with Zone reset3. Recirculation fans - when to use?4. gasper /humidifier - when to use?5. x-bleed - I saw this message in magenta on the lower EICAS after an engine failure next to the respective N2 bar. I know if this message is displayed u need to pull the engine-start switch of the respective engine to execute an in-flight engine start but what does x-bleed exactly mean?I will be much appreciated for answering

When I am in the FMC Rte or Legs page,I dont always see the with STEP thingi next to the legs like here. When in VC mode in the 747 the throttle handles jerk backward and forward even when no power changes are being applied.This movement has no effect on the normal smooth power changes and it certainly has no effect on the way the aircraft handles.What's the reason for the discrepancy beween the movement of the handles and the actual power applied?Cliff

HI GUIS FIRST OF ALL THANK YOU FOR THE AMAZING QUEEN:-ukliam I WOULD LIKE TO ASK YOU ABOUT FEW THINGS:IS IT POSSIBLE TO KEYMAP THE ALT KNOB PRESS & THE SPD KNOB PRESS ?AS THEY DON'T EXIST IN THE KEYBOARD COMMANDS LIST,WILL YOU CONSIDER ADDING THEM PLEASE?ALSO KEYMAPPING OF THE OVERHEAD & PIEDESTAL?:-hmmm I HAVE MORE THAN 10 GOFLIGHT MODULES, AND I USE THEM FOR DOORS OPERATION.REGARDING THE VECTORS COMMAND IN THE SIDS, IS IT PLANED TO BE FIXED IN THE NEW UPDATE, AS MOST OF THE SIDS HAVE VECTORS COMMAND & THEY WORK VERY GOOD WITH THE 737 NG, I TRYED TO DO THE WORK-AROUND METHOD DISCRIBED IN THE MANUAL BUT STILL THE BEHAVIOR IS NOT GOOD.THANK YOU AGAIN PMDG.NICOL…
