PMDG General Forum

Hi,After searching, I found many wind issues, but none like I see intermittantly. Has anyone seen this?Some set up statements first:I'm not necessarily assuming this is a PMDG issue!!! (if anyone has seen this on other aircraft or has a remedy, please let me know)But since I almost always use the PMDG 737 and 747, this is where I see it. And since it happens once in every 7 or so flights, I haven't caught it in other aircraft. (also, not all aircraft display wind information)It originally happened with FS9 real weather. From the load manager I selected 200,000 pounds of fuel, yet when the aircraft loaded I only had 9,000 LBS. I used the FS fuel loader to load the correct fuel amount yet when I returned to the aircraft I still had only 9,000 LBS. Can I use the FS fuel planner with the 744?Dave F

Hi All,Beside the planning to the destination I allways plan (from the destination airport) a route to the alternate. This I save then as a PMDG .rte.However when I need to divert I seem not to be able to "reset" or delete the current flightplan and load the flightplan to alternate. I notice in the FMC an option "alternate" but that is greyed out.Who can explain to me how to clear (during flight) the current flightplan and loading a new one?Best regards,

Well here is my problem... Im doing the CANUK2 STAR into ATL. I need to cross DBN at FL240, i put that into the FMC as a constraint. The T/D doesn't start until after DBN, and im at FL380. Anyone know how I find these things, everytime I try to programme the FMC, it just staes no SIDS. For the life of me I don't seem to be able to find them:-zhelp :-zhelp

. . . there is a gauge just in front of the throttle on the 737 NG Series. It is a screen. I never even noticed it until after a while of flying the 747 and using the lower screen in roughly the same location.Yesterday, after 6 months of my 737 laying dormant, I reinstalled her to do some Southwest Airlines flights and I actually could not remembe the function of that gauge on the NG. The part that embarrasses me about having to ask this is that I cannot seem to find any reference to this screen at all in the PMDG Manuals. I can click on it, and it even has a pop-up screen whilst in the VC, but it's always black. What is this screen and how do i use it?I also have FS…

I'm new to this kinda thing... Can someone that is kind enough point me in the right direction?I downloaded the Template, But I dont know how to convert the textures into DXT3. The repaint I wanna do, or have someone do is really simple, and wouldn't take long at all. It's a old Air Canada 744 retired aircraft without any distinctive makes other then the registration. I know there have been other posts for problems with LNAV and the 744, but none of them specific to my problem. I purchased the Queen at the end of december. i made one quick flight but encountered a problem with LNav right away. I would engage it and it would fly its course to the waypoint. but once there it woudl circle and circle it until i entered the next waypoint(or deleted the current waypoint). so i figured this error to me not reading the manual fully. so here i am a month later and now the problem has "escalated". i've since read the manual several times. now LNAV will not even engage or arm. that is, when i click on LNAV, it does not stay lit, nor does the whit…

I seem to have a slight texture problem with the 1900C. The left prop lights up white from behind when the landing lights are on. It seems like the prop becomes opaque from the back. What are the chances that FSNet will also be compatible for use with PMDG?To have 2 of you connected within the same aircraft cockpit at the same time, one as pilot, the other as co-pilot, as is real world, must be a dream come true (well, the next level of dream after the PMDG747 that is :))I have posted on the FSNet forum and they say without the PMDG SDK or some help from PMDG, it will not be possible to fully integrate the two.As nearly everyone I fly with has bought the PMDG, what an excellent addon it would be to share cockpits.Wils

Can anyone suggest a good web hosting company? I'm looking to set up a PMDG flying club (I had posted about this a week or so back) and I want to do it properly. Ideally I want the costs of this to come in under $100US a year otherwise I'll have to look at financing the site at least partly through Donations.Bravenet seems a good option at this stage, can anyone comment?

Hi,Just regarding eye candy, (that we all love) will the 744F see any new features (apart from the cargo loading equipment already previewed?) I particularly like the rudder reacting to the wind when parked.Will we see engine fans that also react to wind when parked? (I believe the latest Ariane37 has this.) Also will the stab trim move in the exterior model with the 744F?Finally would such new features also be rolled on top of the 744Pax when we buy the 744F?Cheers,PaulCan't be much longer now? :-)

Hello guys sorry if it has been discussed beforeOPT ALT Fl344MAX ALT FL368im flying Fl340, 744 is on Lnav and Vnav, i have 3 hours to T/D and suddenly Vnav changes to FL CH and descends a couple of thousands of feets or even more and climbs slowly back up again for no obvious reason, ALSO, 744 leaves the course and turns right.Please help as i cant do Long Hauls anymore.Thanks

hi,is it realistic that the autobrake switch has to be turned to "off" from "RTO" manually? The manual says that it dismarms automatically after liftoff, BUT as I have noticed it remains in RTO position.thanks!Rob

I just downloaded the Beech 1900C after really enjoying flying the "D" for a year or so. One reason I got the 'C' was that I had heard that the issue with the VC lites was improved. It 'seems' to be the problem is still there.. but...could be me so I want to check in on itHere's what seems to happen--1-There is still that dusk/dawn period, and 'attitude relative to the sun' where it's impossible to turn the VC lites on at all.. Can't fly by the VC.2- If it IS dark enough to get the VC lites on---then if ANY of the exterior lites are on-, beacon, strobe, tail, taxi or landing,-then I can not turn the VS blue lites off, Of interest is that when I turn everything on with 'sh…

Greetings all:I'm a new user of the PMDG 737-600/700 and I have a few questions. Actually, I have about 30,000 questions, but I'll start with these.There are 2 autopilots available. I'm still not sure when to use one, let alone 2 of them. I guess I'll need to use it when I'm not in VNAV/LNAV mode, and am using the speed/heading/altitude buttons. But why is the 2nd one there? (CMD :(Also, when is the function of the CWS buttons? I thought I read somewhere about "control wheel steering" or something like that, but how does that work? Is it used for taxiing?Appreciate your helpRon
