  1. I've used the iFly 747-400 and it sounds like the AP system is similar. The problem is that with the AP engaged, it didn't dampen the affects of turbulence to my joystick. (I use a force feedback control.) As a result, it would begin to swing in just about all directions if I took my hands off for more than two seconds literally. This in turn caused the aircraft to loose control dispite being under autopilot control. The only way I could prevent that from happening was to disconnect my joystick for the entire flight which also meant panning around the cockpit was out of the question.     HiAnyone know how to assign the 4 fuel cutoff switches on the 744 to the switches on the CH Throttle Quadrant via FSUIPC.I have searched these forums yet cant find an answer.On the FSUIPC forum it was suggested to use the mixture lean and rich yet though this works for the default 747 it doesnt work for the PMDG versionthanksGraham

    I'm getting this on the 747-400 FMC when I'm entering legitmate airports for the depatures and destinations. In fact, I flew this bird only a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine with all the FMC infomation.What could have happened?

    Hi fellow Pro simmers-I'm not new in flight simulation. I've been flying the old 742 in Ready for Pushback, and now I'm trying the PMDG 744 Queen of the skies. I have read the entire manual and I can complete all the steps until takeoff. I have created a route from ESSA to EKCH and everything is working just fine.     Hello forum readers,I have a technical question about the 747-400:Is it allowed to make a derated (TO1 or TO2) in combination with an assumed temperature take-off.I know Airbus does not allow a derated/assumed combination. I don't know if Boeing does.Any clues?

    After months of serious flying around with the B737NG, I thought I knew every surface feature by heart.Then I noticed something strange... The landing gear.When the wheels are retracted, they go into the aircraft belly. But unlike other commercial jets (PSS Airbus 319 for example),here the wheels remain visible. There is no round plate to cover them.I don't get it. If the aircraft skin is not continuous and flush smooth, isn't this going to create a lot of drag?What about the -60C temps at FL350.     Hi captains,I use naturalpoint's TRACK-IR. Should try this!On my main 19''-LCD there is just the VC(virtual cockpit). All other tools like flight plan, load manager, fuel calculations, trackir-sw, active-weather und some tools for online-flying are on the second CRT-monitor. It works fine that way. But when in flight most of them are not needed anylonge. So are there any suggestions how to improve my setup to get a even better feeling of realflying?     Hi guys, i'm posting this here to see if other PMDG and Radar Contact users have had this problem. I bought and installed RC4.01 a few days ago and have flown 2 full flights on my PMDG 747-400. Both time, when on final using autoland and almost at the runway threshhold at about 80 feet, the autoland disconnects (first time i recovered and landed manually...second time, i bit the dust after an 8 hour flight). Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, any fixes or do i have to throw out the RC4.Anthony

    Hi,I have a really annoying problem. Whenever I try and change the fuel loadings in the FS fuel menu they just go back to the preset values!The values start as thus:Left Aux 9.5%Left 13.9%Centre 1 0%Centre 2 0%Center 3 97.9%Right 13.9%Right Aux 9.5%Left Tip 0.1%Right Tip 0.1%I will change them to whatever I want, and this will be accepted. I will then go back into the sim, wereby the fuel values go back to how they were before!!!Anyone?

    I am interested in finding an appropriate VA for flying the PMDG 744. Ideally this would be a VA dedicated to the product with a high level of structure, and which is serious about realistic procedure, scheduling and routing. For example, there is such a VA dedicated to the Ready for Pushback 742 product, called Globe Cargo. Has anyone heard of something comparable, or at least compatible, with PMDG's 744?Andrew

    Hi, I have the magnificent Queen from about one month and, until now with some problems, now I am able to file a plan, to takeoff and to climb.When I try to land I follow FS ATC instructions, but I am not able to intercept the localizer, even if I am at the reqired altitude, ref speeed and with flaps as I write on FMC Arrival page. I even put on fmc radio page the ils-dme rw frequency and course, overwriting the existing ones. I push APP and in FMC I can see it in white, but nothing seems to happenP.S. Thanks for answers at my FMC problems. Everything is ok now and I learned how to close a plan in FMC.Thanks,Maurizio Balvetti

    Hi all,2 questions are bugging me. Picture say's it all.No1I am flying at FL350, I think. The queen is reporting FL350 level. FS9 is reporting FL339, the wonderfull pilot reply to ATC thinks he is at FL343 and ATC is telling me to descend to FL350 as I am 600 above assigned.No2I have searched the manuals and can not find the answer so - What is the ND TDZ flag in the lower right of the PFD, jst under the climb indicator??All help is very much needed!!!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/142112.jpg

    First of all I understand that the FMC does not retain the flight plan after you save the flight in Radar Contact and then come back later to resume your flight. I'm looking for some suggestions on how people handle this. Do you reload the FMC with the Flight Plan after you reload the saved flight from Radar Contact? That doesn't seem to work. Do you program the FMC from your current location?Thanks in advance to all who reply.Regards.Bill
