Hi I put a flight plan in the 747 FMC and selected plan view on the EFIS, the FMC shows STEP but clicking it didnt step through the flightplan. ( to check it )Does this work or does the 747 have a different method for this function from the 737 ?MTIASteve

Hi there guys - I have a few technical questions about reserve fuel:- Does anyone know the ICAO contingency fuel requirements - is it 5% or 10% (assuming no re-release) or the total trip fuel. I like to fly for Qantas, and I can't seem to find andy info. on Australian regulations anywhere. I purchased the 747-400 a couple of days ago and so far have been really pleased with the overall package, at the moment I am still getting to grips with the manuals and procedures. Unfortunately I have yet to manage to complete a flight successfully without either crashing or suffering some other problem.The most immediate problem is when I descend using the FMC it gives out this incredibly loud continous grinding sound, much like a cat purring magnified and replayed over and over, forcing me to turn off the speakers before I go crazy. Okay, all, Question on walking the interior of the 747 . . .I have Active Camera Pro - the latest version (I just bought it) and i keep seeing screenshots around the net looking like this:http://library.avsim.net/sendfile.php?Loca...&ImageID=119205Yet when I use the SHIFT + ENTER to lower my viewpoint in the PMDG 747, there is no cabin down there on my model. Hi,I'm able to get the 737 cold & dark, but not all switches are as I would like them.For example: The STANDBY POWER Switch is off (should be auto), the ENG HYDR Switches are ON (should be off), the ENG BLEED Switches are ON (should also be OFF) and so on.Any idea how to get a really cold & dark cockpit? An odd problem I'm having after reinstalling FS9. I've reinstalled a number of add-on sceneries and aircraft, including starting with the PMDG 737 series, and then the 747 with the latest patch, and the 747 seems to be crashing the sim after a few minutes of using it. Not crashing to desktop, but either causing an application error and asking to restart FS9, or simply freezing entirely. Only the 747 seems to be causing this problem, all other aircraft work fine. As I start firing up systems from a cold and dark setup, the fps start dropping, like it's chewing up memory. Just wondering if the FMS database has GPS approaches, I have flown the 737-800 into several airports that have GPS approaches but they were not listed on the dep/arrival page ? I have the current approaches and sid/stars.Thanks in advancePhil

HiIf I have understood the manual correctly, I should be able to mouse over the mins (text on the efis)and click to change it to radio. This dosn't seem to work, nothing happens. If I click reset I can a get a radio mins above the PFD. Please could somebody help me with understanding this ?MTIASteve

Hi guys,Can anyone point me to the file that has the waypoint data for PMDG 737.The AIRIC is not being updated for a while and I'd like to manually add a couple of points that are critical for my airspace. Can I just add some points into the file?I know how to do a manual FIX on the front end of the FMC. But I'd like to add the waypoints in the actual data file.Sean

hello i have no sids or stars on my pmdg 737or 747...they were ther up to a few days ago but have vanished...the folder is still in fs9/pmdg/sid stars how can i get them back on the fmcs?????

rather simple question from someone quite new to all this so please excuse my ignorance guys :-)how do you get into the Passenger cabin on the 747?
