After intstalling and test flying for a little while i switch aircaft to the level-d 767 and notice that gauges were missing in the lower display of the 767 when you click on status what happened here do you guys know how i can fix this thanks.

HiI am new to the PMDG 747. I got a detailed startup manual from smith planet (http://smithplanet.com/fs2004/pmdg/ ). My problem is that when doing a cold start after I get half way through it and program the POS INIT for the IRS there is still no showing display in the main panel (no Navigation Display) in any of the black boxes. I have changed the IRS option to immediately so time shouldn't be an issue.Even if I load the plane to an airport after 30 sec or so the screens go black and all sorts of buzzers start flashing.Please help,DallasSWA4564

Hi, what's the best climb rate in FPM for the B1900D? When I tell the AP to climb to a certain altitude, it defaults to 500FPM. But, using the optimum power settings for climb given in the manual, the plane takes FOREVER to reach cruise. In fact yesterday ATC told me to descend for approach before I even got to cruise at all!So obviously a 500FPM isn't cutting it. But at the same time I don't want to go for a climb that would be completely fuel uneconomical. So some advice on this issue would be great!Thanks, JTH :)

Ok.. I have the CH Throttle set for a twin.. Left 2 for throttle, then 2 for prop and 2 for mixture.I have FSUIPC. Can I configure it for 4 engines only for the PMDG 747 using FSUIPC? How? I tried..by selecting only for a specific airplane...but the Throttle 3 and Throttle 4 doesn't seem to accept my Prop lever.Manny

OK.. for now, I don't want to do a cold start and fill fuel etc... I want to start with the 747 engines running preferable with full/more than70% fuel.After I installed the PMDG 747, I started FS9 with the default 172 and then changed the airplane and I got a hot 747 with full fuel. (I should have saved the state then).But now, when I do that, I am getting almost empty fuel (I don't know how to add fuel outside FS9). and I am also having my second engine with issues.. its not running.At this stage of my learning curve, I don't want to get into those things.How do I get a clean plane from start of FS9?Manny

I've read alot about planes like the 737 and 747 pax version possibly never being updated, here is my question what happens when a new flight sim comes around example fs X will PMDG do everything they can to try to make it compatible or is the whole plane redesigned for the new sim thus another year before actually flying it again.Of course i beleive making it compatible will be the way to go, but i am just really curious on if I can carry over such an amazing plane to a new MS flight simulator, along with the 737.Thanks on any input.Happy flying!

I was planning a flight from EGLL to CYYZ but when I tied to insert the takeoff runway in the DEP/ARR page there were no runways for EGLL displayed. There were also no Stars for CYYZ. Hello,I'm new to the forum and have purchased the 747-400 "Queen of the Skies" and I'm have trouble with the "mouse click" areas of these switches.Computer Infor:Athlon AMD 64 3200+ processor3D 128 MB Video Card2GB RAM160 GB HDWindows XP Pro O/SFS9 Patch installedIn "2D" mode I can turn the switches off, but not back on.As of now with "cold and dark" used for my panel configuration...cannot turn battery on nor start the APU or adjust lighting. Any suggestions would be most helpful at this point.Cheers!Rich

Hello, I'm having a problem. No colors display on PFD. I have no blue or brown although all the info is there-speedtape etc. IRS is aligned and still no colors. They are set at default and I have latest version. Any ideas? Thanks, Joe

The PFD and the NAV screen, There is a Pop up available, (The INBD FO CRT Popup and OUTBD CRT POPUP.) But I would like to undock and movie to another monitor. Another thing, when I change the CTR from MAP to VOR, it doesn't change in those popups... neither does the FD appear on the PFD.Is that the way it is..or am I messing up something?Manny

I've recently purchased the PMDG 1900D and I want to create my own livery for it. Are there any tutorials out there on what is needed? I know what paint program I'm using but is there any other programs needed to make the images compatable with FS9?Thanks...Jason

Hi everyone, I took the B1900D up for a spin today in a flight from London Stansted (EGSS) to Manchester (EGCC). The flight was successful but I do have a few questions.1) In the compass-type instrument with the heading bug to instruct the A/P where to fly, there is also a moveable green arrow. A little knob to the left of the heading bug knob controls it. Can anyone shed some light as to what it does/how it works?2) In the manual, it says for landing to cross the treshold at 35ft above the runway at VREF. Firstly, the treshold is the part of the runway with the white lines and the number of the runway in big writing (e.g. 24L) right? Secondly, what's VREF? Is this 123kts…

The newest package of SIDSTARS doesn't contain SIDS for EHAM, Schiphol, Amsterdam, and because I live in The Netherlands I now there are about 7 SIDS for EHAM, why are they not included in the package?Toto Marchand

Hi,Today I did a flight from Amsterdam to Paris with the 747 and when I was about halfway my suddently the VNAV disengaged and my FMC displayed the message: Unable crz alt, wich I think it means Unable cruize altitude. Does enybody knows how to enable the VNAV again and get that FMC message away.Toto Marchand.

Hi Installed the PMDG 747.I downloaded the Navdata and extracted into the the folder mentioned in the readme file.I searched the forum and found the tutorial and was following it. to do the flight from KLAX to KEDWExcept.. I did not do the cold start. I started with the warm start..Engine running from the same l1 spot at LAX.I click the FMS and on the first step to update the flight computer woith my current location,I see the Last POS and the GPS pos.. but when I click on either of them to move the coordinates into the word area and then when I click on SET IRS POS. It does nothing.. it does not take the coordinates from the work area.and then If skip that and try to mov…

Hi guysWhen flying the PMDG series, i like to use LNAV. Thing is, if i have strayed from the flight path using HDG select for some reason, every time i press the LNAV key i keep getitng the above message. I fly to the next waypoint mentioned in the FMC but keep getting the above when i press LNAV again.I know your wondering why, well sometimes ATC directs you from the flight path for verying reasons. How do i prevent the above message from occuring and how do i get back on track to use LNAV again?Thanks guys and hope that makes sense!Doug

Hi,I was wondering if there is a way to change the thrust for this plane, so that that FMS shows 27.3k instead of 26. On Boeing's site, they say generally that 737-800's have 27 or 27.3k lbs thrust. I was wondering if I can change this or not.Yes, I do realize that some airlines require and have different thrust settings for their planes :)Thanks for any help!
