I've installed all of the SWA liveries for the 737 series, and since they have a lot of 737-700 routes that is what I fly. All exterior lights work off of the appropriate overhead panel switch except for the vertical stabilizer lighting (the brand recognition light).I've noticed in my real world flying that they don't seem to leave it on all the time. I assume it gets turned off with the other stuff above 10,000 or whatever.The PMDG liveries lightup the tail at night regardless of the switch position.Does anyone know how to turn it off or fix the problem?Thank you,

Hi, I am new on 737NG 600/700.On a tutorial on 737NG i red that must operate on the following items but i wasn't able to identify them on the overhead panel.I look at the manual but I can't see them.The items are:L PACKR PACKENGINE BLEEDand also PACKS ON (L+R)?Thanks a lot,Maurizio Balvetti

Dear PMDG,As an avid fan of the QOTS I was looking forward to the 744F enhancement. That is until I found out about what happens to you when you start hauling freight. Strange things happen to a man when he stops flying people and starts hauling boxes around the world. I don't understand this I have posted twice about this problem and still no way for me to get it working again. I put my flight plan into the FMC and I take off just fine and put LNav on. LNav engages fine most of the time. The problem I am having is when I get to a waypoint the plane passes over it without realizing it has reached the waypoint so it flies past it, realizes it has past the waypoint and starts turning back to get it and starts doing circles while trying to get this waypoint. I have tried even doing another flight and it still does this same thing yet I never had a problem with this before. What can I do to correct this?Thank You~Matt Sorce

I recently installed 737NG and after reading most of the manuals I could find, I tried the Introductory flight. I ran into two problems, possibly related, that I was hoping some smart person here could help with.In the section "Cockpit Preparations", when I first fire up the FMC, the instructions say to click on LSK 1L and then LSK 6R POS INIT, and that of course went fine. The next lines says to click on LSK 1L again to copy the actual position into the FMC. Nothing happens when I click on 1L and it's not clear to me what's supposed to happen anyway. Hello all, Let me first start off by saying that Im new, and appreciate any help that any of you may give. Im not a pilot by any means, but more just an enthusiast that enjoys this great product. I downloaded the 737-NG last week, and have been learning all the ins and outs of this much more detialed version of the 737, and as you all know its wonderful. Im ok with the electronics, startup, and the FMC for the most part, but the problem that I can't seem to understand is successfully operating the LNAV. If I plot a simple course, say direct from Salt Lake City to LAX, and engage the LNAV, my plane won't hold course. It starts to track it, and then in a short whil…

Worked for awhile now... When I am setting up EFIS for basic flight the AT ARM switch will not stay in the arm position. Below the MCP is a three light panel with A/T P/RST blinking. I press it and it goes out. Reappears when I try to select AT ARM. I read the Auto Throttle Care and Feeding but it is much to confusing for me. Any help wp=ould be appreciated.

Stupid question 1.All of a sudden when I change from Forward view to overhead it works fine, but when I click on any of the MZALFOTRI letters on the overhead nothing happens, I have to right mouse click on the view, close it and bingo the forward view appears. Any ideas why I can't just click M and get the main view back ?Stupid question 2.Since I fiddled about with graphics settings the other day, my rotating aircraft in the 'Select aircraft' drop down box is black any idea why no aircraft are showing although it all loads up OK.PS Both of these may have happened at the same time I suppose.

In the 747 all the VOR and Localizer tunings are done by enteringthem in the FMC NAV/RAD page. After using the 747 a couple oftimes I notice that the automated VOR tunings are incorrect and that a manual enter doens't help either. This is the same for the localizers.What is here to be done?

Hey Guys. I am having a problem when programming the FMC in the 737. I get a message saying "err at TRANSITION, line 157", on the scratchpad. It doesn't bring up any runways, sids, or stars, in the FMC. I downloaded the SID/STAR database. Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Hey guys. From your previouse releases I always see that you make it so that if you have an add on to one of your previous products that the previous product must be installed. I know I am only one person but would it be possible for you to make it so that people could purchase only the freighter version of the 747 when it comes out. I would really like to buy this add on and I don't really have the funds to buy both. I also ask you this as I would most likely use just the freighter version. I am sure I am not the only one who feels like this. I understand if you can't do this for me and other customers, but I do appreciate you taking it into consideration.Kevin

I have the 737NG, but I imagine these could be asked of the 747 too.Q1) Is it possible for me to remove the VC cockpit reflections effect? I was wondering if doing this might improve my FPS, but I'd just like to know anyway.Q2) Is it possible for me to edit a cfg file so that I can change my default VC view position (I want my eyepoint to be higher up by default rather than manually changing it).

Can anybody tell me where & what I should be looking for in purchasing a good 21" or 23" Widescreen monitor? I'm concerned because I don't know if the FS2004 & PMDG software will fill out the whole screen and what the definition will be...and becuase some games do not accuratey support wide-screen displays you might be flustered if the image looks abnormally stretched.. I assume that FS2004 supports the wide aspect ratios and if so, what is that ratio? Do you have to have 16 or can you get away with 16:10?If this is the wrong forum to discuss this, please accept my apologies and direct it accordingly.Regards & thanks for any inputs.jack

Ok so here it is. Purchased PMDG 747 Yesterday off the web site - was keen to get it going so downloaded there and then, upon validation the setup box just dissapears, I sent an e-mail to support who said it was a firewall problem, however have double, triple and quadtriple checked all are of while trying to validate, have seen a few posts on this topic in the forum but no real answer.Has anyone else had the issue and had it resolved?Cheers

Alright... I'm having issues with the numbers in the Autopilot displays. The numbers themselves are very tight and the 0's and 8's show up as solid blocks. While the other numbers are distorted as well those are most significant.Now... I have scanned and scanned these forums and I have found 3 common solutions and NONE of them work.A.) I have ensure my Text size is set to 96DPIB.) My screen resolution is 1024x768x32 (I could have higher if I wanted but when I change resolution... even down to 800x600 there is no visual difference to me. Am I supposed to see a difference??)C.) Hi to all of you!!!I have a question, I have a route stored in my FMC, and I'm planning to make the flight, but in reversal way. Example I have the route stored from KLAX to KMIA and the name is KLAXKMIA01. I start the FMC, I loaded all the info, including the route, but if I'm planning to do the flight in oposite way, How can I do that?, there's any way to do into the FMC?, 'cause in the PMDG B737 there is a way.Ok, i just read all the manual, but i can't find that.Thanks in advance.Emilio.
