    1. I note a button at the top left panel labled "FPV". When I press on it a circle with crosshairs appears on the FDS panel near the FD crosshairs. What is this FPV for?Stanner2.     After shelving this for awile because of time constraints vs. the learning curve, I'm back at it and determined to learn this thing once and for all!Now the basic problem is, I get the craft powered up seeemingly ok, but once going to the FMC, it accepts no inputs, shows no displays or responds in any shape or fashion to any inputs/mouse clicks. It's dead as the proverbial doornail. I have a rudimentary FS9 flight plan built at the time...I've imported the AIRACs data as well as the SIDS/STARs properly according to the manual - as far as I know. But the the FMC stays completely blank no matter what button I push under any circumstances.I know I must be missing something…

    Hi,I have ver. 1.1 and a couple of questions:1. I am cruising say at 39000 ft: I open the doors and I don't get a cabin altitude warning, and the cabin rate of climb remains zero! How is that possible??2. I don't see any oxygen quantity indication on the EICAS. Where are they??Thank you,James

    I have got two CTD's with PMDG 747-400 in exactly same kind of situations. When decending to given altitude at approach with AP on (HDG and V/S guidance) I select DEP/ARR in FMC and there ARR from sidebuttons and the correct (given) runway to land on. When I press the sidebutton for the rwy I get CTD. Or more specifically the screen goes black and stays there until I tap ctrl-alt-del to get task manager open. That shows that the MS FS does not respond anymore.My settings are: MS FS (Upd 9.1) + PMDG 737-800/900 (1.10) + PMDG 747-400 (with latest update) + MyTraffic2006 + Updated SID/STAR's from PMDG.The first time it did this the MyTraffic2006 wasn't installed.System specs…

    Hello,I realized that PMDG 747-400 have some problem to follow SID speed restriction introduced in FMC.I set the SID speed and altitude restrictions for two waypoints in FMC LEG page (in this case, the maximum speed in two waypoints just after departure is 190 kts).The bird, instead of follow this restriction rule, it went up directly to 250 kts, the 10000 ft general speed restriction.Interesting, checking the VNAV page (ACT ECON CLB), I noted that the speed restriction was set correctly in FMC (the 1R line inform correctly the speed restriction for the next waypoint, that is, 190 kts).The LNAV, VNAV and A/P was properly set just after the departure.A snapshot of the FMC …

    G'day all:I have just recently got hold of the 744. I have read the manuals which came with it, and specially the fuel planning stage of the Flight planning. I could never get enought fuel for a long hual flight. It always starts off fine but after 3 or 4 hours the FMC displays "Insufficient Fuel" and if I refer back to one of the charts, it does support the FMC's warning... This happens to me everytime in a long haul flight (Over 10 hour flight which I have only really completed 2).Could someone please tell me why this happens and what I could do to resolve it please, thank you, any help would be great thanks.Brendan

    Hi All -I've been flying the NG for a few years now (since it came out), but I just started testing out the failures. Tonight, I tried the engine failure option. Set it at 2 minutes.. Waited, and waited... no engine failure. However, when I went back to the failures menu, it said that the failure occured. So, I cleared the failure and tried again with a different time. 30 seconds.. Same problem, no engine failure. However, the engine finally failed during the rollout on the landing... I tried again, same result. Shouldn't the engine fail in-flight?Thanks for the help!Kevin

    Just wondering if others have experienced this and if there's a "no-brainer" solution involved: When lined up on the runway with FD, Autothrottle, and LNAV/VNAV armed, heading bugged for the runway course, I power up throttles and then hit TO/GA. Plane starts to roll, but then begins to veer to the left, I try correcting with my yoke, turning to the right a tad. It corrects but then starts to veer left again. After doing all this, I tend to lift off off-runway course or take off centered but with my right wing dipped.There's no noticeable cross-wind and this happens whether I start up on the active runway or if I taxi out to it.     Hi guys,First off, the PMDG 747 is amazing..fantastic purchase.Im having a problem at the moment though. Whenever I load up the 'Queen', MSFS tells me that the fuel tanks are critically low, despite them being filled to the brim. This flashes up every few minutes.     Hi, To try and resolve an LNAV problem i had(on a suggestion from a forum post) i uninstalled the 744 through the addremove programs path as instructed in the readme.I then re-installed the program via the setup.exe.But when i went to fly the panel briefly(1 second) appeared then i got an error message saying - FATAL ERROR MODNAME:- pmdg_747400_main.gau , i guess it may have become corrupted somehow? I decided to re-install over the already installed plane but a message came up saying i would have to uninstall the update 1.1 first as the installation was only for the original 744 install,how do you uninstall SU1 update? I then decided to uninstall the 744 and re-install…

    HiIIRC on the 737 you can change the speed via the spd entry on the vnav page in the fmc. I dont seem to be able to do this in the 747. Anyone know if it's supposed to be this way? - I can change spd ok via the mcp, maybe that's the correct way for this type ?MTIASteve

On the overhead panel (I'm refering to the PMDG 737-600/700, although I would guess most planes have the same type of lights), there's a row of lights you need to turn on/off during certain phases of the flight.     Hi,I have made a repaint of the 737-800 for my VA with no problems. Now I would like to make the 737-800 with winglets but I have some doubts. I noticed there are two file .psd into the winglet paintkit: PMDG_WingL_T.psd and PMDG_Wing_T.psd Which is the difference? Right and left? And how to repaint the winglets? I noticed into other repaints the .bmp files of the wings are not visible like the others.I'm able to see them only with dxtbmp.May you told me which is the correct procedure to paint the winglets?Thanksin advanceAndrea
