HelloI have found a similar post about this argument but it didn't solve my doubt completely.I need to convert the COLOCATED expression in SID/STAR files to LATLON. I am using Vincenty's direct method, given point A, the azimuth and length of the geodetic I can find point B.I have also read through Terry Yingling's guide, which reads:Example: FIX DOPIE COLOCATED NRT 256 20This means you are defining a fix called DOPIE which is onthe navaid NRT radial 256 and is 20 miles from NRT.But is that 256 true or magnetic? In theory, if it is a radial, it should be magnetic. But this means that to find the correct location of DOPIE the PMDG FMC should know the magnetic variation for…

Hi everyone, I'm flying the 744 and am trying to set the TO/GA to my CH Yoke. This is where it is in real life, right? By the way, where is the actual button in real life, is it on the right or left hand side of the yoke and is it the little red button on the top of the "horn"?Anyways, I went into the PMDG menu at the top of MSFS and clicked assignments. But when I tried to set the TO/GA button to any buttons on my yoke it wouldn't read them, it was like it wasn't detecting it. It would allow me set it to any button on my keyboard but that's it.Any help on either of these related things would be much appreciated. Thanks a lot, Paul.

Hi all,Anyone solved this one yet. I have the UK Airports by Gary Summons.The problem I am having is: To activate the air gates and all animated vehicles and passengers you need to swap the NAV 1 Freq. Simple in all other aircraft but not the 747 (Queen) as the nav radios are part of the FMC.I have tried asigning a keyboard short cut. Does not work.I have tried using FSUIPC to assign a keystroke. Does not work.I have tried using FSUIPC to assign a yoke button. Does not work.Any ideas guy's, or anyone from PMDG have a hidden control for this??Thanks for your helpDaniel

When in CLB today I noticed the EGT and N1 on the EICAS will drop to the bottom for engine 1 & 4 and it happened again after I reset the engines (this time 1, 3, 4). I'm not sure what is causing this sudden loss of engine power. I have to CTRL "E" and refire the engines to restart. I get an alarm going off and all engines cut out on me. This doesn't seem like a very realistic way to go about flying this sim. Has it happened to anyone else or what might I be doing wrong? Another Q?, on takeoff I pressed the screw in the top left corner but no indication of the TOGA activating. I had all my V speeds setup in the FMC and exec'd it as well. Just curious as to what…

Hi,I have just bought the 747. I have the entire 737-series and they work great for me. I just made a flight from KPAE to CYVR and i had entered CVV and YYR as waypoints. I departed and everything was fine until i wanted to tune the ILS frequency for RWY 8R 109.50. I just couldn't do it. I can't click on anything on the Nav radios. I mean i can click but nothing happens =)I found the NAV/RAD button in the FMC but when i tried to upload 109.50 to the LSK1 or RSK1 i got INVALID ENTRY all the time. I ended up having to make a visual approach instead.I have tried to understand how this is done but i can't find anything about it in the manuals i received with the download. I f…

What is everyone doing to access the Flight Plans? I know they are in the Flight Plan folder in PMDG but they are number coded and I am not aware of how to understand what each one is or how to bring them up in FMC.Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,WIth ~90% of my landings I get an aural warning and EICAS warning for extended speedbrakes which only lasts a few seconds. My spoilers are armed and depoly as they should._Paul :-)

Hello Everyone:Does anyone know where to find a US Air repaint for PMDG's B1900D? From PMDG's website, it looks like they have one (from all the pictures), but I can't find one in their library. Yes it me again, I have a problem. I bought the PMDG 747-400 version 1.1 without needing the patch. I would be flying for three minutes average and then it would go to my desktop. I also do not have an overheating computer and I have Traffic 2005 just in case you need to know. All help is NEEDED and appreciated.:-newbie P.S. I also do not know how to put in waypoints in the FMC after reading the FMC user's guide. And whenever I select a heading and push in the knob, the HDG hold light goes off but it never turns the plane. THANK YOU very,very,very much. Christian A.

I am trying to get the ACARS button to activate ( operate) from the Menu screen. I am in a running 737 ( on RWY) trying to program FMC. I hit the "F" button on the AC Main Panel. The Menu screen on the CDU comes up but only the FMC button is highlighted . I also tried with the Views, instr panel, CDu. Same effect. Help please???/ George
