Using the 747-400 load manager of PMDG, I have saved to the PMDG 744 cfg file a ZFW of 500K lbs and a fuel setting of 50K lbs. But if I load the Queen at the default KSEA using the Select Aircraft menu of FS2004, although the ZFW is loaded correctly as 500K lbs, the fuel is loaded at 300K lbs--this latter figure is the most recent fuel I loaded into a 744 flight using the PMDG fuel loader from the PMDG dropdown menu within FS9, i.e., PMDG/General/Options/Fuel.I am puzzled by this. I thought that once you save data in the cfg file of the 744 using the PMDG Load Manager, this is what will get loaded each time you call up the Queen.What have I misunderstood?Jonathan

Hi all,If I'm correct, the PMDG is not modeled with a nosewheel steering tiller. When I try to make a 180 degree turn with the PMDG 747-400, it doesn't make the turn tight enough and the nosewheel goes off the pavement. I've seen 747s make 180 degree turns on the runway without going off the pavement. I'm thinking that it's because the PMDG is not modeled to use the tiller but only steers using the rudder pedals. In the real 747, the tiller can turn the nosewheel 70 degrees in either direction and overides the rudder pedal steering. With the rudder pedals, it only turns the nosewheel 7 degrees in either direction and does not activate the body gear steering. Since the PMD…

Trying to get more familiar with the Main Panel I noticed in the PMDG,737NG,Stlyes box is a selection for drawing the flap setting on the main panel. I tried it to see where it appears. Wrong.... right smack in the middle of all three main CRT's. Now it will not delete. Unchecked it .. nothing. Any help please George

I am showing FMC ECON SPD .835 and I assume I am in CRZ mode or at least I think I am. But the EICAS reads (shows) CLB Mode. Should the Eicas be showing CRZ or am i missing something? My FL was 350 but OPT FL351 was showing in FMC. I went up to FL351 thinking maybe that was why the EICAS says CLB. But that didn't work. Is the thrust mode determined by the system or can it be overridden by myself? Regards,Tom

I find that using the FMC inside add-ons such as th PMDG 744 and 73NG series, if I try to set up departures with the SIDs that are ostensibly matched to the departure runways, I am often offered departure tracks that are nonsensical and sometimes in totally the opposite direction to the departure runway heading or even BEHIND the departure runway takeoff roll start point. I just don't understand this: I thought that once you select a runway, the SIDs you are offered in the FMC match your proposed departure track.Can anybody explain why I experience this stuff? Am I doing something wrong? STARs are somewhat less confusing because they do seem to actually match your arriv…

Goodmorning,Using the PMDG Load Manager to completely empty the aircraft, I noticed that appart from setting station loads to zero, it has reset the respective station load positions to zero as well.The problem is that when trying to fill the aircraft up again, station load positions are not restored to the correct values, ending up to a non-flyable aircraft.I would appreciate if someone could spare a couple of moments to browse through their aircraft.cfg file for PMDG B737NG 600 & 700 and posted the correct values. It would help me to avoid installing the product all over again.Thanks in advanceN. Kantas

I know there has been discussion on this before but I am perplexed on a couple of things.The 737 reaches T/D and starts to descend normally. However after approx 2 mins I get the message Drag Required. I apply the Speed Brake. Why does N1 stay at 40%. Why does the aircraft not idle in order for it to slow down? When I reach 10,500 the aircraft levels off to reduce speed for the restriction. And from there on the I struggle to meet further speed restrictions and inevitibly VNav will disconnect and I have to go around and perform a manual landing.Can anyone explain why this is? Surely speed brakes should not be applied so early. Any tips most welcome.Thanks.

Right now I am flying from EGLL to KSFO at 30000 feet yet when I look at the FS9 altitude it tells me I am at 29589 (When I press Shift+Z). My speed is also different 324 on the 744 and 303 on FS9. I am inclined to trust the 744. Just wondering. Any insights as to this discrepancy?

I was appraoching YYZ in heavy rain and overcast using the 700 with VC. I also had FS2Crew and RC running plus I'm using ASV with clouds set at 30 miles and 50% 3D. It was literaly a slideshow, no more than 3fps. I don't get it, I use FSAutostart and ussualy get fps in the 20's. Then I get the old low vertual memory. My 747 stays in takoff all the way to cruise. I am unable to switch it in the FMS. I am not sure why this is happening. I have tried the climb in V/S and speed, VNAV and it never changes. When I reach cruise it switched the thrust limit to cruise. Does anyone have any suggestions.Thanks

Hi there a quick question, when I land at VHHH and I want to do an auto landing on the PMDG 747-400 when there is terrible visibility as Hong Kong is well known for it after I reach around 500 feet the auto pilot suddenly banks the aircraft to the left making it move away from the runway, this only happens at VHHH and not anywhere else I have downloaded the freeware add on named VHHH2005, does anybody have an idea how I can rectify this annoying problem, all assistance will be much appreciated, thank you in advance.Rayek.http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/pmdg_pf.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e62/ritzer82/untitled.jpg

Hi all,Quick question,When setting FULL passengers I am unable to load any fuel?? Is this correct?? I would have thought you could at least get some fuel in or there is no point having that many seats.Flying for BA Virtual, I am assigned flights with load sheets, this tells me how many passengers I am carrying, is there a way to input a pax count instead of clicking each seat. 300 clicks can take some time!!!Thanks allDaniel
