    Hallo simmers,I've bought new the boxed version of PMDG 747 V 1.1.If I start the plane COLD AND DARK and goeing step by step on procedure, I have the problem always:I can't switch on the GEN CONT buttons in the electrical panel in overhaed.Whats the failure?Please look like the screen:http://www.gwg-cityline.de/images/pmdg747failure.jpgIs everyone here to help me?

    First, congratulations to the makers of PMDG 747-400, what a great product !I'm not a very experienced user, but most of the problems I could solve. But loading a (.rt2) flightplan into the FMC result in some error messages in the FMC display. First, I updated the navdata (AIRAC_0513 and SID-STAR:PMDG_AIO 2006-03-10) but there are still error messages in the FMC display. Sofar, only KLAXKEDW will be loaded without any problem. But as example loading (COROUTE) LHRAMS001 results in" 11 RNW LOAD ERR"" NOT IN DATABASE""UR123 VIA LOAD ERR"Could somebody help me?ThanksHerman

    Hi,I recently bought TrackIR 4.0 Pro and after some initial problems have it working just fine. Whilst exploring the cockpit I had a good look at the approach plate on the left side of the cockpit, and as the resolution was set to 1600x1200 I was able to zoom right in and read it clearly.As I also have SimCharts 3.0 I was wondering if it is possible to display the charts in the same location?Thanks,Gudgey.

    Let me start by saying that I am not an expert when it comes to aviation. However I have flown 2000 hours plus in VATSIM usingall kinds of payware aircraft. I also previously owned PMDG 737NG, which still sits in my PC.However, I noticed in my Program/MSGames/FS9/PMDG, there is a file "At.ctr" of file-size Zero!! It's dated 14-Jan-2003.     Trying to enter this flightplan from PHNL to RJAA and when I enter the first waypoint 2500N 17000W (2570N) it is no where near the proper distance from my previous coordinate (CANON). So can somone help with the proper way to enter it into the FMC.     Hiya allI'm loving the 737 at the moment but have one minor problem I cant seem to figure out. I use radar contact 4 for my ATC and they often tell me to decend to FL11 but I have to be at that altitude before 40 miles from the point they tell me. I know in the legs page on the FMC I can set altitudes and speeds but how do I set an altitude restriction when there is no waypoint 40 miles out. I have looked through the FMC manual and looked through the various tutorials but cant find any help.Anyone know how to assign this type of restriction?Many thanksDean Farley

    Hello,During a short flight between SBGR and SBGL, two big Brazilian airports in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, I noticed that PMDG 737NG did not follow a hold track introduced in the FMC and, worse, lost the approach track completely.The flight plan was followed perfectly until the beginning of the SBGL approach, where it has a hold on waypoint CAX.However, few miles before the hold entry point, the 737NG made a sudden curve to the right, the contrary side of the hold, and followed a straight-line, moving away from the approach track.     Hi, i loaded a plan in fsnav then saved it as a rte or might of been rt2 file. Loaded it into the FMC, set the cruising alt etc but after i take off i press the LNAV and VNAV button, course settings work and i move towards the destination airport, problem is the altitude isnt working. Ive set the crusing alt to 30,000 feet and looked at the altitudes on the RTE pages. I have to set the altitude myself, i set it to 12,000, then pressed the VNAV button again, it stayed at 12,000 and on the RTE the altitudes of the various waypoints were DECREASING on their own from FL30 (30,000 Feet) and lowering themselves until the waypoint was passed, then it happened to the other waypoi…

    Hi Guys,This is my first post on the forum, I finally made up my mind to register. First off, let me say that I am very impressed with the PMDG product line. I own the 737 and the 747 and they are both spectacular.I just wanted to know how much of a performance boost one would see if the aicraft model contained only the virtual cockpit without the external model. Of course this would only be suitable for those pilots who never stray out of the cockpit to get a look around the aircraft.Kabenla

    Hi -I purchased and installed this product yesterday evening and everything was working great up until I was airborne. Instead of a normal jet sound, my sound card seemed "confused" and started generating a loud "static" noise. On occasion the sound would go away, but eventually it returned and remained until I quit FS9.I encountered this with another jet add-on, so I don't believe it has anything to do with QOTS. However, I am trying to figure out if this is a sound card issue or a PC that may be too slow for the product.I have a Dell Dimension 4500 (2.4 Ghz) with 1G of RAM.Has anyone else experienced this problem?     Dear Support staff,I recently found my computer grinding to a halt and could not work out why I suddenly had so little disk space remaining on my C drive. I cannot recall the exact time this problem began and did not particularly notice it when I installed my PMDG 747-400 QotS. However when I tried defragmenting and even that process ground to a halt, I looked at all my installations using the Windows Add/Remove Software control panel and found to my amazement that the QotS was taking up more than 9.0G of space - more than the whole Flight Simulator installation!     Hello Everybody!I am new owner of the fantastic 744 and I have made some training flights in order to get familiar with the queen, all the flights were around EDDF. Selecting departure and arrival EDDF and rwy 07l as the arrival rwy the FMS was unable to autotune the ILS on 07L when in range. I wonder why, navaid invalid message appears on the FMC when I press the APP button and Park is shown where the freq should be. Is the only option to manually tune the ILS? why it won't autotune?     Hi everyone, in the real life 744 is it true to say that the TO/GA switch is on the throttle panal? Or is that just on the real life 737NG?I don't have a CH Throttle Quadrant (yet) so I was thinking of assigning it to a button on my CH yoke instead (to save me clicking on the little screw in the 2D cockpit). Has anyone else done this? Also, how is it accomplished? The PMDG menu -> Assignments page doesn't let me assign the button to my yoke, only to my keyboard. I've heard that you have to do it with either FSUIPC or Ch Manager. I do have the payware version of FSUIPC, which I believe makes it possible to use that. This after a long range flight from MDSD to LFPG on "Land 3" procedure, shortly before reaching the minimums to touch down. I hope only it was the first and last time of a CTD.     Hi all,I have crz alt set to FL410 in FMC, alt window in MCP selected 41000, altimeter set to standard. My 747 climbed to FL410 in vnav speed mode and switched to vnav path at FL410. Everything was normal.But afterwards, the plane could not seem to stop at FL410. There was a slight positive VSI and the 747 continued to climb indefinitely. I have to use alt hold to stop the climb at about FL430 eventually. Was I doing something wrong ?Daniel
