Hi, the flightsim stops for 1 sek (Sand glass) when I open the Com, EICAS, or the Buttons Bar. This pause does not occour when I click on FMC or Overhead Panel. You will also notice a frame rate drop to 2 fps when you click this buttons several times. Is there a way to fix this problem? Best Regards Jan-Paul Schuchna

Can someone please explain to me how to program a hold into the PMDG 747-400 fmc.I use VATSIM alot so i need answers!!!!:-) Say for example i am asked to hold at BNN on a 253 inbound radial making right hand turns. How would i program this into the FMC?I know that i would click on 'HOLD' on the FMC and then copy BNN to the hold boxes but then i'm stuck about the 253 inbound radial and right hand turns?????Please help :-) :-)

Help - Flaps on 737 not working- I re-installed program, it worked for a second when I tested it, after I planned trip then does not work again. On PMDG 747-400 flaps are working OK.,In the throttle area it will click up and down, but it does not move in the panel board nor on the wings. Could it be I missing a setting? Any advise?

I just landed at VNKT (Kathmandu) and moments after lowering the nosewheel, I crashed. Twice in a row. LW was 540,000 lbs. VS on TD was -200 fpm. I was real careful with my approach speeds and about lowering the nose on the ground at TD; I reversed with the nose in the air and held the yoke back till about 110 knots. No diff; crashed each time.I also crashed on departure twice at 555,000 lbs. but got off successfully third time round as I eased the N1 forward on the roll. I had observed the nose "floating" rhythmically on each takeoff roll. I wondered if it was the crosswind. But then I saw in FSNavigator that the runway was "Bitumen". Is this why I crashed in the…

I'm assuming this is basically the time it takes to assemble all the sections and wings etc together, not including the time it takes to assemble these components too.Also from reading this, I assume that the 787's will be assembled on the 777 line

Hi,The PMDG systems manual describes the behavior of the 747's SSB as normally being open if one source of external power is selected whilst the remaining EXT power AVAIL switch/light is not illuminated or available. Thus, only one side of the aircraft's electrical system would be powered with the SSB remaining open until another source of power were available for the other, unpowered side. I have found that with the PMDG 747, the SSB will only remain open during a single EXT power connection (with the remaining EXT power connect switch not being in the AVAIL condition), if both the battery and standby BUS switches are in the OFF position during selecton of EXT power.…

I am having trouble with the volume of the engine sounds in the flight deck. It seems quite loud. I have adjusted both PMDG sound levels and FS9 sound levels. The engine sound is still to loud in the flight deck and almost non-existence in the spot mode. Any suggestions?Mike

Hello,I just purchased the PMDG Epress B1900D. I says i need t upgeade to v1.02. well i downloaded the service upgrade but i get this error message:The file c:program filesmicrosoft gamesflight simulator 9aircraftpmdg express b1900daircraft.cfg could not be opened. the system could not find the path specified.i attached a .jpg of the error message. i can open fs and run the airplane so i can't understand why it can't find the file. any ideas? thanks,Darren

I just did a 9hr flight from YSSY to RJAA. Used active sky 6.0 and Radar contact 4.1. Everything worked great! Vectored to the ILS with full auto-land!! Nice job and can't wait for the cargo version!

Hi to all,i have this serious problem with CDU drivers: when i install CDU drivers and try to launch FS, the application lock and this screen appear to me AppName: fs9.exe AppVer: 9.1.0.40901 ModName: unknownIf i simply rename PMDGEngravityCDU.dll in .old, or deinstall it, i can open FS9 normally and it function perfectly.I installed PMDG_EngCDU.key in Fs9/PMDG folder as instructed, and the version of firmware of my CDU is 1.03.help me........!!!!Thank you so muchStefano

Do anybody know how many cockpit crews do they carry on board? Hello, I would like to purchase your 747 but I have a question first. My computer at home that is my FS machine and it is on a 56k connection. Is it possible to purchase the airplane through my work computer that is on a T1 connection then take it to my home computer and validate it through the slow connection. My work computer is an Apple G4 laptop and the FS machine is a Dell.Thanks,Ali

Hi guys,I'm looking at doing UA895 this weekend as it appears to be the longest 744 flight available at 15 hours 50 mins.Firstly, is that correct? or is there an even longer non-stop route on the 744?Assuming it is so, it will entail a polar routing, or something close to a polar routing. Can someone remind me what the maximum latitude is before fs prevents you from going any further?Any other advice that any of our 'ice-runner' captains might offer? Eg suitable enroute alternates for emergency diversions etc.Cheers guys!

Hello Fellow Captains I am experiencing a problem with FMC runway course errors. On the approach page it shows the ILS course one degree off from the actual. I usually refer to an approach plate so I know the correct course and that is what I enter. I tried updating the AIRAC but still have the errors. Secondly,and more confusing to me is adding a speed constraint to a waypoint.I usually like to enter a speed constraint to slow the aircraft down prior to the IAF of the runway I am landing on so that I can get down to the lower speed in plenty of time.Most times the autopilot flies through the way point without a deceleration and shortly thereafter …

hi, does anyone know energy management circle when in offpath decsend is modeled or not? it is because when i select offpath decsend on PS1.3, I will get 2 dashed line circle indicating the distance for decsend to desire attitute under clean or speed brake extent situation.thanksben

I'm trying to first of all select "radio" on the minimums selector and it seems like you can only do baro. Question number two is, can I fast and slow slew the minimums selector like in the real plane or no? It takes a day and a year to set minimums for high elev. airports.Thank you kindly.

Hi, I noticed that the taxi is not very smooth for pmdg744 (i mean for a real 744, I only need to apply power until reached desire taxi speed, then the 744 itself can taxi a very long distance without anymore power), and I know someone had posted it before long time ago. Can somebody tell me how to decrease the friction parameter in FS2004?thanksben
