Hi All, i have had 300 trouble free hours in the 747 until today. I am not sure if this is related but i downloaded the trial version of ultimate defrag and ran it last night. Today i set up a flight in the queen fromm EGLL to KSFO and got airborne and at 1000 feet engaged the left CMD and the trouble began. The autopilot did not follow the flight director and the airspeed went up and down past the limit that V Nav set, when 10000 feet came the speed rocketed up and fell down. As i mentioned the aircraft was out of coordination with the flight director in a nose up attitude that bled off speed. I eventually got to cruise level at 30000 feet and the plane kept climbing thr…

I ordered my Engravity CDU from PMDG's web site a couple days ago.I understand that once i get the CDU i have to place an order for the CDU Interface Software from PMDG.But i have 2 other questions -a) Is the 737 800/900 add-on a pre-requisite to making the CDU work? or will it work with the 737 600/700 base product combined with the interface software?:( Anyone out there know how long it is taking to get the CDU in hand? I live in the US.Thanks,

Flying with PMDG 747, approach VHHH 07R, catch LOC/APP, wind calm, good sight, everything is ok.However after passing through 500feet, the plane start to turn left and climb crazily and saying"Glide slope, Glide slope"The plane is just leaving the "ILS instructment" and just I dunno what's going on???BTW, another odd things happened during my flight. When I switch to other view during cruising (e.g. Spot view), suddenly some weird sound not belonging to the PMDG evolved, and the livery of my plane(KLM) disappeared. Any one know where I can buy the 744F Performance Manuals (Charts) to computer critical field length, long range alt/fuel/mach, endurance stuff, landing info. basically to fill out a TakeOff/Landing Data (TOLD) card.I know the computer does it all, but what happened to the art of flight planning?Thanks in advance,Dan

Hi,I was just wondering if an ILS approach can be set in the Beechcraft 1900D?I thought you just set the NAV1 and NAV2 radio's to the ILS frequency, but all i get is morse code and the approach doesnt happen.

Over the last couple of airac cycles some airport information has been deleted, such as PANC, WRRR, KSEA, WRSJ. They appear in the airac database for FSNAV. When I rey to input them in the 737 FMC i get the message not in database...any thooughts

Hi there allIf I am on the ground, and I have everything entered in FMC, and it predicts I will arrive at destination with pretty much spot on what I planned to have - does it account for the fuel that will be burnt during taxi approximately, I should I add a little more fuel?Thanks for any help, regardsRudy

HiI have some trouble getting my engines started in 737NG-700. I have tried to read the tutorials from Timothy Metzinger and Fred Clausen. But not getting the enginez started is not the biggest problem. I guess I can read the solution somewhere in the many good answers to be found in this forum. What I would like was a sort of turorial where the start procedure was explained. It's easier to remember and it's much more fun if you understand why you are pushing these buttons in the recommended way. Does such an "Start Procedure Explaind" kind of thing exists anywhere? Or is there som clever guy out there in the PMDG forum who can construct my "wonder-tutorial"?CheersLars

HEres a brief history of my headache.Yesterday (12/1), i came homw from work, bootted up the ol pc and wanted to do an fspax flight in my custom livired 737-800 w winglets.The plane is truly a pleasure to fly and has provided me hours of enjoyment.Only problem was, yesterday, the play wouldnt fly, the moment i would click fly now, the game crashed to ctd. SO i tried switching planes, ctd. Airports, ctd. Anything in the create a flight mode goes ctd. All with no errors, literally a straight ctd, taking maybe 2 seconds.I can fly in the slect a flight mode, all the historic flights work, but not the UI created saved flights. I recently purchased the 737-800/900 upgrade. After installing it, the MFDs changed. I no longer have a PFD but instead have four analog-type gagues. The ND display is not full MFD width but has analog gauges on the left side. Is there something I need to change to once again have a PFD and full ND or do I need to reinstall everything from scratch? Any help would be appreciated because I fly the 737NGs very often.

Captains,I am a business man an owner of a software company. I know how much an update can affect our revenues and tax the maintenance crew.In many cases, I had to do tough mandatory updates and, of course, we do it for free, although new customers would have to pay for it. Sometimes, even current customers pay for a faster version...Thus, and seen Aerosoft's add to sell the PMGD 747-400, I'd advise PMGD to tell their more anxious members that they can buy direct, if they can afford it (I can't wait, so I'll buy it).I think it's more than reasonable to communicate an alternative.Regards,BPilot

Hello, I've searched the FAQ at PMDG and looked around here but haven't found this error so I'm asking.Recently changed computers and purchased the extended download service. Downloaded and installed 1900D, 737NG, 737/800-900, Queen, Queen-Cargo. When I try to open ANY of the products on the "Chose Aircraft" menu in FS9 I get this error:"File: gauges/PMDG_737NG_main.gau" Then it shuts down FS9.Any help would be greatly appreciated.John

Gentlemen,I have recently noticed something strange on the 744F: when I load an important amount of fuel (always using the PMDG menu option to do that, of course), before start-up, the main 1 and 4 tanks would always and normally read their max capacity (13.600 kgs each). This is normal.Then the center tanks are filled etc...What I have just noticed, and twice, is that few hours after take-off,and long before the tank to engine procedure, the main 1 and 4 suddenly read only 12.700 kgs, when I never touched anything.As you see on that screenie:http://aiarnaud.free.fr/pics/fuel.jpgIs this a known fact?
