The problem is that I enter the airway and the waypoint in the FMC, however the FMC show a message of "Invalid entry", I have checked the flight chart and the waypoint is included in the airway I selected.So I have to enter the waypoint before my desired and DCT to my waypoint.For example:OTR20 A (invalid entry)but OTR20 B(point before A)DCT AThis one is OKIs that the problem of Cycle 0611 I am using. (someone sent it to me as a installation pack)

Guys,I was recently watching the ITVV Virgin 744 video and noticed something that caught my eye. Early in the flight the Captain goes over the process of configuring the fuel system for tank to engine. The process is done as normal but after the system is configured the EICAS shot shows that main tanks 2 & 3 boost pumps are shown as active (green, with no band) but the lines of fuel flow don't indicate that fuel is flowing to engines 2 & 3 from these pumps. Crossfeed valves 1 & 4 are closed and 2 & 3 are open as they should be. Hi allBit of a newbie to the PMDG product and I can't seem to find this PMDG options menu I keep hearing about.When I click on Alt during a flight to try and find it at the top of the page there is'nt an option for PMDG. Hello all, soon after reaching cruise altitude and in VNAV I found the FMC was holding my airspeed at 240 kts. A clue to the reason might be that early in the flight - maybe during the climb - an FMC message reminded me that I hadn't selected approach parameters. Also, I wasn't able to select the CLB and CRZ buttons. It seems the FMC thought I was descending and nearing approach. Any thoughts how this could have happened?Geoff

I purchased to 'D' last night. It's a bit of a change from the larger aircraft in my collection. My first flight wasn't much of a success. After a 60 mile journey, and on finals, my screen locked up and there was simply no way out but to press the reset button on my computer box. I was in VC at the time. As it froze up some warnings sounded. Yes, I have done a search and there was very little on this point. HII bought a new PC and so I installed the 744. I installed the pax version and its update, the cargo version and its update, and then the sound update.On that flight, after having slected panel state "cold and dark" the pushback didn't work: I could set the numbers, but left-clicking did not result in the usual "voices" and the plane being pushed back after release of brakes. Also, during takeoff roll, no callout of speeds. hi there,it's been a while ago since I had my last problems with my 744. But now in 3 days after another, I got a serious problem showing up. watch this:After departure, my wings were 'up 'n tight', but after reaching my cruize level the AP disconnected, the plane dived nose deep and was uncontrollable. Hello!I see the directories for the database info on my PC however they have not been populated. Should they load when the plane 747/400 was installed or do you have to get them elsewhere? I bought the boxed version from Amazon.comThis is my first experience with PMDG planes or any plane for that matter. HiBoth in the 737 and 747 series, the arrow head of the wind direction pointer on the ND is barely visible. In contrary to the actual aircraft, I always have to take a close look at the direction/speed indication to see the wind direction. Is that a graphics issue of my computer ore is there anything you can do with it?thanks in advance.

Can the APU be started in flight on the PMDG 747? If so, how? I can only get it started on the ground. Is it altittude dependent or even possible to do in this aircraft? It would be nice to have backup electrical and bleed air in a major (simulated) emergency.Kim Kraemer

Hello I recently purchased a new Nvidia 8800 GTS Video card. I completely reinstalled Windows XP (pro) and Flight Sim. (FS was the first program I could not wait to see)After the installation, both my 747 and 747F are having a problem with the cockpit CRT/MFD displays.When I initially load the aircraft, the displays are fine. After 1 minute or so, all of the displays go blank. Reloading the aircraft does no good.The only thing I have found that will bring them back is to load another completely different plane, then reload the 747.But after 1 minute the displays go blank again.If anyone out there has any ideas I would appreciate it. No answer on mails on saturday or sundays maby?The reason why I'm posting this question here are becouse something is wrong when I try to validate my PMDG 747. It says that the password is wrong. I selected the "cold and dark" panel state, but now I would like to get back the panel state in the condition that the plane was shipped. How do I do that? I can't find a setting in the aircraft config file, and there is no default panel state defined. All of my PMDG 747's now start-up in the "cold and dark" state. I would like them to start running and ready for taxi.

Hello People have had similar problems, I know. I want to cross the pond in the PMDG 747. When it comes to entering Lat/Long coordinates I keep getting the message not in Database for example with N62 and W20. I've tried all possiblities on the RTE page. When I try to enter N62W020 in the LEGS page the result I get is N61W019 (!!!???). I'll never get to cross the pond with these problems. PLease help. Thanks Tom

I just purchased the Queen of the Skies and the validation fails every time. I am using the correct email, the five digit order # and my password. Am I missing something?Bob Johnson
