Hi all I installed the pmdg sound update for the 747 , now my lnav and ap do not work correctly in the 747 or 747fCan I reinstall the 747 and updates and then sound or do I have to start from scratch with the 737. I really do not want to go back, can i just install the boxed product and then then the 747f and then soundOR;is there some other reason lnav would stop working after the sound installPeter

2 weeks ago i have bought the B737NG and 800 and the 747 I have installed first the 737 and then 747. when i have finished the installation 737 i get the message that i have download the 2) "Download and install the 767PIC/PMDG All-In-One installer" on the navadata page. I cant find this all in one Installer. I found only a site with Airac where i have to pay for it. please help. I have bought 3 new products an i have only very old navdatas.

I just bought my first PMDG aircraft- the base 737 package. I'm very pleased with this 737 compared to the default and the 50 North product. The 50 North set wasn't bad, I used PSPanels with it, but it didn't have info for a beginner. I didn't know much about PMDG although I've seen mention of the products. I've been pretty much a GA simmer, and I bought the Capt. Sim 727 and 757 recently to try the bigger stuff. I was overwhelmed by the planes and didn't see a lot of useful info for me at their forums. The forums here at AVSIM seem a lot better. That's why I decided to give PMDG a try.Question- should I purchase the 700/800? Is it a must have upgrade to the base package?…

Installed the 0606 AIRAC and now the FMC is telling me that EVERY navaid in the world is not in the database. I can punch in airports and SID/STAR routes that have an intersection or VOR on them but when i enter the point into the route page the FMC comes back with "NOT IN DATABASE". Can anyone help me with this?This happens on the PMDG 73NG 744 and 74F

HII'm checking how much fuel to load on a long haul flight, and I pretty much figured out my distance and checked in the NM section to see how much fuel to board. Now seeing I also would have step climbs which altitude is the right one? My initial climb is the one I board fuel for, does it mean the extra fuel is burned to get you to the other altitude? The higher one flies the less you burn, so, for 4400 NM fuel to board at FL 410/479 is 186.0 lbs but at FL 310/488 210.6 lbs but 15 mins is saved in time. Now there is a big difference in fuel approx 25 000 lbs of difference. What and how do you decide this factor of altitude in a step climb flight and when the time is not …

I have recently upgraded my computer and am running FS9 on Intel Core Duo 6600 with 2GB 800mhz Corsair Ram + 7800GTX Asus card. Now whenever I fly PMDG's wonderful 747 400 PAX or CARGO after about 20 mins or whenever I am on a final approach to an airport I get an out of memory error and then the flight is over. I have searched the forums and have changed my page file so that it is 'system set' and I have 10100MB on 3 drives in use. Now If I start Task Manager and watch on the performance page and load the aircraft the page file goes from 345mb to 1.3GB and holds there.... the available ram drops to about 300000mhz so 0.3GB left. Hi guys, I hope you can help. Just installed the 744F and now my framerates are between 7-9!! Did a search on the forum and tried editing out the standby gauge + changing framerates down to 5 on the pmdg slider (i think the last one slightly helped) i uninstalled the freighter and pax version started again and it's still messed up! Degrag checked for trojans, it's only afer i installed the-400F She was running perfectly before and i even put all the sliders to the left but still max frames were 10!! Hello, i have a question..In my JP fleet book it says that UA's 744's have an MTOW of 870,000 LBS equal to 394 tonnesThe max for the 744 is 875,000Lbs or 396 tonnes. The difference are only on paper because each airline can choose how much MTOW they want, the less the cheaper.Does anybody know if UA changed this recently?? or if my book is wrong.Cheers Leonardo Calzoni

I reinstalled the 747 Queen after not having flown for more than a year so please patience.Everything worked fine including the virtual cockpit showing.I just started the type rating cource just to get started again and here the virtual cockpit won't show even as has been suggested goinginto the menu and change the setting once off and on again.This works when using another flight not connected with type rating cource.Is there an solution for this problem?Anybody?Thank you very much.

Gents:With the availability of the FS9 737-700/800 series, and the capability of it to cruise above 390, it would sure help if the current 737 Fuel planner was upgraded to accomodate flight planning. I believe the currently available program, which was graciously supplied by Ross Carlson, was developed only for the older series: 300 - 500? Anyone know if Ross has made available an update? Hi all, can anyone please explain why the ILS text that gives the localizer ID and bearing and appears just below the left-hand annunciator in the Primary Display of my PMDG 737-800 is always yellow and struck through with a horizontal line? I've flown this aircraft a lot and I don't remember ever seeing it displayed differently.ThanksGeoff

HiI've been having a complete nightmare with my STAR into EGSS. I usually do a EGPF to EGSS leg and therefore use the Lorel 3G STAR as I'm approaching from the North.However when I input this data into the FMC the route looks all wrong accoring to the STAR plate I have. It looks like its Ok up until BUSTA but instead of then doing a nice left turn to hit LOREL at 192 degrees, the route almost cuts back on itself at a very sharp angle (about 120 degress to the left)and then carrys on past LOREL and onto a fix of BKY before going back again at very obscure angle eventually to LOREL.When I actually try and fly the route on LNAV it does fine until just after starting the left…

Hello to allI just noticed that i alrady have installed 747-400 Universal Update V1.1 but when i select this AC in the FS9 in the description it shows at version 1.0.Is this sipmly a mistake or is there something really wrong.Thanks.Navid

This is an experience I'm having with the 737-800/900, after landing. Upon touchdown, everything deploys as it should, reverse thrust is actuated and manual braking applied at approx 60kts. I slow the a/c to 15 kts and exit the runway. I raise flaps and check that 'instant down' has deactivated, switch autobrakes to off. Then when I apply throttle to taxi, if I apply any more than around 30% initially, I get the dreaded horn sounding, I suspect, trying to tell me somethings not quite right. I have performed checklists, perused manuals and I'm at a loss. I can't find anything. Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?Jon S.

Just added to navdata.at and AVSIM FS2004 Flight Plans libraries. The latest addition to my collection, based on FAA NACO Digital Terminal Procedures and actual ground tracks. All arrivals and departures are available as published for use where ATC vectors are available and as variants with routes between runway & first departure fix or last arrival fix and ILS final approach fix for pilots not using ATC vectors.

Hello!This might be a little off topic, but hey: People here are flying the PMDG 737/747 so maybe someone has the answer to this.I'm flying KORD to KJFK, approach via the LENDY5 STAR, landing on RW04L/R.I should cross LENDY at FL190 at 250 kts and expect vectors to RW04/L/R. How far will ATC send you out in the real world when you are supposed to be at the IAP at 2000 ft? What are the usual vectors and decent rates? Anyone please?Thnx!David Bernard
